Comcast in Tacoma, Washington - Cable service constantly cuts out

Washington State - this happens all day and evening almost every day. The picture pixelates, audio cuts out, screen goes blank every few seconds, sometimes with intervals of being out seconds longer than it being on. Comcast's solution is to reset signal, send out a tech to check things, replace cable box, etc, etc. However, even after that has all been done, service may improve briefly (or not) and usually the situation continues as before. This has been happening for several years now and seems to worsen during the summer months. I Give this company minus 10 rating. Oddly, Comcast provides the best internet service in the area, so customers are forced to endure the absoluetely worst TV service ever!!!!

Comcast in Marysville, Washington - What service?

The word customer service is like a unicorn when it comes to doing business with Comcast. Their service is the worst. Slow internet, cable continually has problems with picture and sound cutting out. When you call for "service" you get a robot with limited vocabulary so you are put through a 5 minute list of questions. When you finally get a "real" person (not sure if that is a true statement) you get useless dialog and someone who has not heard a word that you are saying. I have figured out why the lack of service when you call them. You have two opinions: either carry on with the *** service or change providers. Most people are too lazy to change so the *** service continues.

Comcast in Edmonds, Washington - They Just dropped Cinemax!

We've had several problems with Comcast and more as of the last couple of weeks. Wi-fi goes out, cable goes out and now we went to watch the show Jett and couldn't because Comcast decided to cancel Cinemax all together without telling their customers! It's ridiculous!!

Comcast (which has been changing its name to Xfinity to escape the stench of its terrible reputation) has charged me $270 "early termination fee" for having the audacity to move to an area that does not offer Comcast's services. This is how they treat customers that stayed with them 13 years. Avoid them if at all possible!!

Comcast in Seattle, Washington - No customer service at all

Details
On September 18 Comcast had a subcontractor, Full Bore, lay cable for a neighbor through my front yard, ripping up same, taking out shrubs and raising driveway up to an inch over concrete gutter at street. I called Comcast several times but they didn't bother once to try to reach me. I called Woodinville police and officer said to find out how much to fix and pursue through civil means. On September 22 real estate agent was out to take pictures for selling my home of 40 years which was completed earlier this month but at what qualitative dollar amount was damage they caused? Comcast is a dying beast and now I know why people hate them.

Comcast in Tacoma, Washington - Severe Security Issues

I have tried to get into my online account for over a year.. I have a bundled package that includes phone. I don't use the phone, so the rep always says they will send me a 4 digit pin in the mail, this is for 'security' reasons, to prove that I am who I am. Sigh.. Finally a few days ago I got the 4 digit code in the mail, of course it's not working, so I log onto chat.. I am just frazzled, so tired of trying to get into my OWN account should not be this DIFFICULT. Anyway, the ever patient rep I'm chatting with assures me he is the right person and will resolve this issue. I don't even want to hear that for the umpteenth time. I tell him what my log in is, the pin I received, the last four of my social, my security questions, my phone number. It goes on and on. He finally tells me to click on a link and enter the username of wilson followed by 4 numbers. I told him, well my last name is Williams, but okay, if that's what he wants me to do, I will. So I do.. and it says 'welcome Jeremy Wilson'. My name is Lisa Williams! F sake! I inform him of this.. I tell him I'm looking at Jeremy's e-mail.. this is definitely not right. He quickly asks me to try again, really?? Jeremy again. So then he changes my log in to the right one and an new code.. I log in again with all the new credentials. JEREMY AGAIN! Jeremy, I hope maybe you read this, if you notice your password has changed it's because COMCAST is SO EFFED UP. And I didn't really read your e-mail either. After FOUR attempts, it appears that I am finally in my own account. Whatever, I'm certainly not setting up auto pay or anything, for gods sake, how often does this happen? I see where you can file a complaint with the FCC, but that looks like it's only for billing issues. This is a serious security issue! If I was a real bad guy - I'd see if I could log onto Jeremy's account again! But I'm not. I'm good. I need blood pressure meds after today. Anyway, I saved the chat, I'm going to figure out a way to escalate this. Absolutely aggravating and not secure! Fair warning people, how many people are being directed to your account without you knowing it?

NOBODY likes Comcast & I can assure you, you can write & complain to whomever you want....but nothing will be done about it. Everyone I know including myself have had issues with this crazy company. Good luck trying to deal with them.

I have had problems w/comcast everytime they sign me to a new plan. The latest, I needed to upgrade my cable box. While I talking with the person, I told her I did not want the DVR box but when the installer was done he started to explain how work the DVR, I said stop, I did not want the DVR. He was surprised and needed to make a call, after the call he said it was ok, it would not change my bill. THE PLAN: $149.95+tax=about $164.00. My bill this month $189.13, this included a$10 charge for a modem that in the 10yrs plus I have been with them, I've never had to pay. Now they have me by the balls on a 2yrs contract. Comcast makes used car salesman look like Boy Scout compared to them. They shut down by the Attorney General

Basically it boils down to Comcast's lack of self-respect & good moral principles. When people get suckered into a contract for one of their "package deals", or "Bundle" by the wording the representative uses when telling them the rate won't change for the length of the contract, people think in their mind that their bill will be the same amount for the length of the contract. WRONG! YOUR BILL WILL INCREASE IN AMOUNT DUE. Comcast does this by leaving the "Bundle" amount the same, but then they go in and increase the "Additional services and equipment" charges along with changing their "Other charges and credits" rates. Then they tell people the reason their bill has gone up is because the taxes increased. Well of course they did. Because the taxes are a percentage of other charges. So if they increase the other charges and decrease, or eliminate discounts the taxes will automatically increase. If a person doesn't accept the "tax increase" explanation, the other way they increase the bill is by decreasing, or totally eliminating some of the discounts they had listed on the bill. And when they are called out on that, they say the discount "expired". They do these things all the while leaving the "Bundle" amount the same (for the first year anyway). So when asked how the bill keeps increasing when there is a contract. They then say that the contract was for the "package deal", or rather the "Bundle". (That means ONLY the "Bundle" amount.) That doesn't include all of the other charges. Which, they freely and regularly increase over time. When asked about these other charge increases they will then say the changes in rates for these other charges occurred across the board. For example, recently an "additional outlet" charge increased by a $1.00 a month on my bill and that was only one of the changes. The longest I have ever seen a Comcast bill "Amount Due" stay the same is for 3 months. Then they start in again on changing all those extra charges and it's on the rise again. They then add insult to injury on a two year contract. If you have one anything like mine which, I'm guessing you probably do, the "Bundle" amount goes up. Wow! So I've already been a good customer for a year, but do I get rewarded for that to make me want to stay them? *** NO! I get penalized even more! In my instance by $25 a month. It says right there in the agreement that it will increase by that much for the second year! Mind you that's just the "Bundle" amount. I'm sure they will continue to increase their other charges and eliminate any other discounts to increase the bill even further. Because that's what they do. I'm guessing their ultimate goal is to get people angry enough to break the contract because that would mean even more money for them from exorbitant cancellation fees that I've read about them charging people. They know there will always be other people getting suckered into their contracts, because if the people don't take the 2 year "Bundle" contract then they don't get as "good a deal" if any "deal" at all on pricing. So the people take the contract. And the cycle continues. Why they don't look at it in terms of getting good reviews and keeping customers because people are happy with how they are treated, instead of feeling like they are trapped is simple. Comcast doesn't have self-respect, or good moral principles. After all what may be legal, is not always ethical. And there are just some people, in their quest for copious amounts of material wealth, who don't have the depth of character to look at the discontent they spread among people and actually feel any responsibility for it. At least not enough to want to make any sort of positive ethical change in their practices. So across the nation they get their 1 star reviews in abundance and they don't care. They possibly even laugh at them. Why? Because for them, material wealth far out-weighs any self-respect, or good moral principles they should be striving for as well.
