Comcast Technicians Lie
I had been having problems with my comcast internet service. It kept losing the signal and reseting the modem which then caused the wifi connection on my laptop to lose the IP address. I called comcast numerous times over a 6 month period and even learned how to reset the modem myself (not hard). Finally a smart technician (#3 I think) came out and said it was the cable going in to the house. He said he could replace the cable but would have to drill a new hole. I asked if there would be a charge and he said NO. On my next bill there was a $40 charge. When I called Comcast Gustavo said that the charge could not be reversed since I didn't have the service plan which he then tried to sell me. I explained 3 times that the technician has said there was no charge and I got nowhere. Just another reason to hate the liars at comcast.
Comcast in Manassas, Virginia - Service interuption
Missed the Grammy's 2012 as all my comcast services (cable, phone and internet) were out all evening. When we called the recording said they were experiencing some service interruptions and were working on it and then they hung up on us. When I called tonight, as on demand and the guide were still not working, there was a twenty minute wait on the phone so I went online to chat on line with a service rep. I asked when Comcast was going to replay the Grammys for all of us who missed it, because we had no service, she said to check my guide. My guide is not working!!!!! Anyway she did get my guide fixed and my on demand, but still no grammys. This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO typical of them. It gets very frustrating time and time again.
Comcast deleted seven months of recordings on my DVR remotely by accident (they did a format instead of a reset), but will only credit me one month ($9.95). They said that it worked for 7 months, and I said, yeah, but you just deleted 7 months of what I paid for it...Read more
