Verified ReviewerPredatory Pricing - Monopoly with no choices
This is a general complaint about the pricing practices of this global media and technology company. Probably half a dozen years ago, they brought in all this fancy fiber-optic cabling and promised consumers the moon.
In reality, they have formed a monopoly in terms of internet and television where they are practically the only choice. They get you to buy in with some low-price offer to get you hooked up and then force you into a bundle in order to keep pricing reasonable. That's where the games begin... Now every year we've faced 15-20% price increases.
We are retired and have only a very basic TV and internet package which, after 4 years, has gone from about $110 to $220/month. I would argue that the internet is now a necessity just to live. When will some branch of our government work towards investigating these practices and bring back reasonable pricing for the service?
We have now had to give up other things just to keep our basic cable and internet turned on. This is infuriating, and both Comcast and Verizon are holding consumers hostage.

Why did you remove supporting actors from your cast list? I never want to know who the producers, directors, and screenwriters are, but I often wonder who the supporting actors are and what else they are in.
You used to do that.
If you think that it's important to list off-camera personnel, do it, but also list the guest stars. It is a disservice to the actors.

Waited 4 hrs. For technician- NOTHING! Greatly Disappointed!
Why am I having to write more than is necessary for ACTION ON MY TECHNICAL ISSUE?

Technical problem porting home phone # out to new mobile carrier
On 12/31/2024 I called Comcast and requested that the home telephone number I've had for more the 35 years be ported out to a new mobile service with Astound. Israel said it would take them up to three days to complete the change.
And on 1/3/2025 I was able to use my ported number to make calls with my new Astound mobile service, showing that number.
However, EVERY CALL TO MY PORTED NUMBER WAS STILL ROUTED TO COMCASTS ENHANCED VOICEMAIL.
Now its 1/12/25; and my calls are still being routed to Comcasts Enhanced Voicemail, even though I closed all my Comcast accounts and returned all their equipment on 1/6/25!
Comcast is still refusing to take responsibility for creating this problem, saying they did everything the could, and that my account is completely gone and everything was done correctly.
If that's true WHY IS THE COMCAST ENHANCED VOICEMAIL STILL ANSWERENG MY "PORTED" NUMBER, IF THEY ACTUALLY PORTED IT CORRECTLY ?

Because you stink and don't stand by your word.
You make updates and don't inform people of those updates. My husband relied on TV being on all night for lighting to bathroom.
It goes off now during night; result? He lost balance, fell and broke his hip. What do you think of that update? No one calling back to see how he is.
That is why you stink. Collect the money and run.

Outdoor cable obstruction
On my second attempt seeking service I received prompt and courteous help. Presto, problem solved. I cannot rate Comcast, never been a customer, insufficient basis for judgment.
Billing
I canceled back in November. Turned everything in and I am getting charged still. I want it resolved and a refund since I canceled.

All cable lines on our block are down on the back alley due to wind storm on Sunday. We've called numerous times with no response.

Power surged. When it came back on the TV didn't.
It says no signal on the screen. I've rebooted everything I know.
Cable down on my front yard since storm in Birmingham week ago today!!!
I am still waiting to receive a call from local representative on when they will come to remove this cable which is hanging in my yard. I am NOT and have never been a Comcast customer and this cable is presenting a highly inconvenience to me and family!!!

No answer at Comcast call number when I tried to call about "Check Tel Line" notice on my home land line.The number I called was 1-80*-***-****.

Keep having issues with internet connection, when you call , the automated system tries to handle the call keeps suggesting sending a link but it your experiencing issue what good is that going to do. Then it hangs up without transferring to a live agent, The service is the Pitts, they are over priced,
