Comcast - WTF is up with paying $200.00 per month for the triple play?

Every time I call customer service about paying $200.00 per month for the triple play (some of which we do not use) I get the run around saying that we are on the best plan for what we have.. WTF is up with that? I don't need Spanish; Chinese; Iranian, etcetera channels, and I certainly don't want to speak to those who can't speak proper English when I call. Why can't we choose the programs we want to watch? I'm not sure I have more words to type to equal the minimum of 100 words, so let's just say We are stuck with this company for now! It now appears that even with the more than the 100+ words that this is an issue within itself!

Comcast did good today admitting billing error and correcting it.

Thank you for your comment. It was helpful to me. Comcast overcharged me by $99.95 and when I called to dispute it, they issued a credit because Comcast could not find a reason to support the charge. However, the representative said that I have to pay my bill in full and expect a credit in the following month. I refused and the Agent said late fees would apply for any unpaid balance. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor clarified that I should only be responsible for the new balance after the adjustments and gave me information on how to log-in online and review my current bill after midnight of the adjustments. I am happy to know that Comcast was willing to accept their errors and to work with me showing the company values my business and wants to keep my service.

Understand first that I am NOT an agent of Comcast or xfinity or any related company AND I am not receiving anything for this review. So let's start with last summer...I ordered Comcast cable because I had a well known DSL based service (with the blinding speed of 18 MBps-at least claimed--which I never saw using speed test) and minimal TV programming [NOTE: Name of prior service was withheld based on the caution in the User Agreement on this posting page]. The Comcast installer showed up while my wife and I were in the back yard but left before I could catch him. It ticked me off because he would not come back. I was going to have to reschedule. Not Happy so I told them to forget it--cancel me. Finally two weeks ago I had enough of waiting on my computer and dropping internet signals especially when my wife was on her Kindle and the TV was blaring [prior service charge was $169 per month]. Now I have Extreme 150 MBps internet (typically 125 MBps at remote location using my router and extender for the same price. I also have Digital Preferred TV with HD...oh yes, I forgot to mention "the company that will not be named" had dropped my HD inadvertently when I downgraded last spring because I was paying $210 per month. Customer Service for "that company" would not reconnect my HD service unless I told the representative my SSN over the phone--REALLY. Now I have Real Internet and TV programming for the same monthly payment for two years. Will see how I feel after that and rates go up. The young man (Cortez) who installed was great, amicable, efficient--not the standard 2-4 hours to hook you up. I had to call Customer Service yesterday because the web page indicated my account was inactive AND I knew my first bill was coming due in a few weeks. Chris was AWESOME. He straightened me out--I was attempting to access the account set up last summer. He explained several other things to me patiently and respectfully. Very enjoyable experience AND not at all what I expected based on some of these reviews. I am just saying, they may be turning around, so give them a chance. This 64 year old is--and when my grandkids come over, they will say "This is Cool Beans, Grandpa." LOL

I called a week or so to make changes on my account with Comcast. Originally my husband was calling to cancel services. Tye answered our call and boy did we get a HUGE surprise. Instantly my husband put on a smile, within a minute or so I actually heard laughter, I walked into the room assuming he was watching TV a comedy or something. NOPE he was talking still to Comcast. This was such a treat, Tye was very honest infact there were a couple of questions my husband asked Tye said " I am not sure but I WILL get the correct answer for you" she then put him on hold a minute or so. Long story short we got bundled into a quad play, Who knew how much we really did NEED a security system. So, this employee really cares and is efficient. We set up a call back for both my mom and a coworker of mine, They were dish customers, After hearing about our experience we ALL are diehard Comcast customers. Thank you so much Tye!!

my wife spent the entire day trying to get her caller ID changed from her maiden name to her married name, it was and as far as I know is a nightmare. some person named Alicia had her on and off the phone all day, when my wife finally had enough it took Alicia 35 minutes to agree to put the supervisor on the phone, not that he was busy, she just didn't want to transfer the call. So I ended up with a hungry 5 year old and an extremely pissed off wife and as far as I know the caller ID is probably still wrong
