Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Worst Customer Service

I have called Comcast "customer service" 3 times to resolve the same issue! I still do not have secure and reliable internet, and my bill is almost $150.00 per month. They verified that an unauthorized user has my ISP address; my own computer has displayed that message many times. I tried to get a password protected access from Comcast, and that failed. I am calling every state, local, and federal agency I know of to get satisfaction. I know that this activity is a crime punishable by fine, and I will pursue this matter legally at whatever level is required.

I agree with you 100 percent comcast is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. also they are nothing but a rip off unfortunately that is all we have here except Verizon Vios which is worse.

I feel for you we should not have to go through all this just to get what is right and belongs to us I cannot stand comcast and every month I have to call them about my bill. absolutely infuriating.

I stay in East Lansing and today I had worst experience with Comcast service. I would like to punch on their face if it would be legal within our state. Every time when I connected with client on skype , it failed and thought to leave writing this note but finally after 20 - 30 bad DISconnectionS I am left with no patience. You already troubled me a lot and I would like to sue you in harassment, my big contract lost today. I don't know what to say here. Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Billed for movies even after parental controls set

Since our "high-tech" X1 system includes internet service that goes down once per month, the fix is for us to unplug and then re-plug the modem back each time it goes down. Apparently, when you do this, the cable box resets including the fact that parental controls get reset to "off". Hence last month I had and additional $40+ on my bill. Customer Service acted as if I should have known this. After a few transfers which happens every time you call them because the first person is never the right person to deal with your issue, I was given "a deal" to just pay half of the extra charges. I continued to complain and more transfers before I was eventually given the full credit. When I had FIOS for two years I never had any of these problems. Also, why when you are transferred multiple times each call do you need to repeat ALL of your information to each person. Their systems and customer service are the worst of any company I deal with.

Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Charge a lot more than quoted for package

I was contacted 2 months ago by a Comcast representative telling me I could get more channels plus HBO and Showtime for less than I was currently paying just by signing up for the Comcast Triple Play package for a year. After a lot of questions and uncertainty I agreed. The first month of service I got charged what they said I would and thought this was a great promotion. The 2nd month of service they charged me $80 more than that! Perhaps they thought I would stop checking after the first month because it was set to automatic payments? Now when I try to argue with them they say that I was never promised the original rate and that this is what it costs. How do they get away with this stuff?

LAST TWO WEEKS I HAVE BEEN RUNNING W/OUT TV, PHONE AND INTERNET SERVICE EVERY TECHNICIAN THAT COMES OUT HAS BEEN TELLING ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND NEVER COMPLETES THE JOB. ON 1/12 I HAD A TECH. COME TO MY BUSINESS AND HAD A VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND WAS VERY RUDE, I STILL DONT HAVE PHONE SERVICE WHICH CUSTOMERS THINK IM CLOSED. WHICH MY PHONE VOLUME A DAY IS ABOUT 20-30 CALLS A DAY, AND MANY CUSTOMERS ARE THINKING THAT I RAN OUT OF BUSINESS THX TO COMCAST! Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Lack of Consideration

I was displeased to arrive home from work to find I had no internet or tv service. Of course, after spending an hour on the phone with comcast turning every box in the entire house off and back on I resigned myself to the fact that it was a lost cause. I made appointment to have a technician out the following evening. The next night, no one came to fix the cable. After calling to inquire as to why, I was told that my operator never put in the appointment as she had stated that she did. Of course, even though it was a comcast error, I was left without an cable service. I tried to explain that in the real world, those who make a mistake at work stay until its fixed and that while it is not the technician's fault, comcast has a responsibility to keep the appointment and fix my cable. Apparently that makes no sense in the comcast world. I made appointment to have a technician out the following evening. When the technician arrived, he found that comcast had disconnected me, instead of my neighbor. Thanks comcast. So, tyou disconnected me, you didn't schedule my promised appointment, and I had two days - that I PAID for - with NO service what so ever. I'm finding a new provider.

Comcast has horrible all around service in my opinion

This all began a year ago when I first signed up for comcast cable and Internet service, I had ordered cable boxes for 2 televisions, I was supposed to get two boxes and a modem for the Internet, when the technician came out he only brought one box and no modem so we had to reschedule for him to come back, the second time he came back he brought the other cable box and still no modem and on top of it I had to program the other TV remote myself, no it wasn't hard but wasn't my job to do that, I ended up having to go to the local comcast office and get a modem and then had a heck of a time setting it up because I had to go out and get a router for 70 bucks, yes I needed a separate router along with the modem, it took me a couple days to set it up because they tole me I would have to pay for the technician to come back out and hook it up for me, so after I had everything up and running I had to make another call to get some kind of code to access the Internet. so that was the first time I had bad service with comcast and I should have made it my last. A year later I ended up moving and I wanted to get my service transferred to my new apartment, they said I would have to pay more then what I was paying because the features I had weren't available in the area I was moving to note this was only 10 minutes away from my old apartment, of course I'm in a two year contract with them, so we had to sign into a new agreement but we were able to get almost the same price plane we were paying. So 5 months go by and we had some new people move in down stairs from us and they had comcast come out and hook up there cable, well the technician was so *** he hooked there cable up and disconnected ours because there was no splitter or something like that, my girlfriend called comcast was on hold for about 10 minutes, when we finally got someone he asked if the neighbors cable was working, I asked the neighbor if he had cable not thinking but he didn't have cable service and said no, SO I thought he meant no he didn't have service, so the technician on the phone said then there is an outage and wouldn't get someone out for 3 days, I then found out about 5 or 10 minutes later that he didn't have service, he informed me that comcast had been out to hook up the neighbors cable and in the past they did the same thing, so for years they haven't corrected this problem, My girlfriend then called comcast back and explained to them that this had been going on for years and she was be very respectful to the technician and he began yelling at her and being very disrespectful to her so of course she did the same. so we got an 8 dollar credit and no cable or Internet for 3 days. I am canceling my comcast service and going with another provider.

Recently both my roomate and myself returned from vacation to find all our comcast service was out - no cable, no internet. We called 1-800-comcast (the only # written on anything comcast has sent to us) to try and resolve the problem. First of all, we called from my cell phone - the phone number on the account - and got bounced around to different call centers all over the country because the area code on my cell phone number doesn't match the area code in the city I live in. Finally we get a service rep on the phone who tells us right away that she can't do anything for us since she's in another location, but is willing to give us the direct phone number for a service center near our house (she couldn't forward us though). When we finally get in touch with the local service center, the rep says we have to set up an appointment for a technician to come out and assess the situation. Now I knew we were going to have problems. Almost all the appointments they had available were for time frames in the middle of the days. Unfortunately, as we explained to the person on the phone, both of us work full time 9-5 not very near to where we live. We needed an evening or weekend appointment. The rep said he could get us an appointment 5-7pm 3 days from when we were calling. This was annoying as I needed the internet to properly complete some of my work at home but decided a 3 days wait was better than nothing. I repeated to the phone rep that 5-7 would work but we wouldn't be available until around 6. The phone rep said that wouldn't be a problem, said they would add a note to the service request to come late and to have them call my roomate's cell phone. The number was verified twice while we were still on the phone. Come the day of the appointment, I receive a call around 5pm from our Comcast technician that he is at the front door and no one is answering. I explained that he was suppose to call another number and wasn't suppose to show up until later in the evening. My roomate was on her way home, but wouldn't be there for another 10 minutes or so. He never called her even after I told him she was the person to contact and we set it up that way when I set up the appointment. About 5 minutes later he calls me back and says there's still no one there so he's cancelling the appointment. Of course I protested to which his response was "I can only wait 10 mins". Fine, it's true we weren't there, but at the same time we didn't think anyone would show up for another hour. Once again I had to call the local service center to reschedule the appointment - for 2 days later of course. Again I explained that we both work and can't leave in the middle of the day/early. Again, the rep said she would put a note on the service request that the technician should come as close to 7 as possible. Fast forward to the day of the appointment and once again the technician was at our front door at 5pm. Luckily I was able to leave my office a little early that day and was on my way home and able to catch him before he left. It was still annoying that simple requests from the customers were being ignored. The scheduling system they have set up makes it very difficult for people that work typical 9-5 shifts to set up appointments. If they were willing to commit to arriving at 6pm or even 5:30 it would make all the difference.

:( Since this last thunder Storm my internet stopped working, I called waited for 20 minutes finally some one picked up the phone and schedule for 5 days later. Tech was suppose to call me back on given number before come to home,never called and left a tag at door even I was at home. Called cust rep again and re-schedule for next 3 day.

Comcast worst customer service

First comcast took over 1 month and 4 visits just to install cable and internet service. After the installation I had repeated interuptions in service with no concern from them. I then moved and was fiven cheao cable boxes and modem. When I asked why change in product they stated it was due to zip code. This makes me question if they can base what equipment you get based on race or the area you live. Since the new equipment was poor quality the modem broke 3 different times. Each time I was charged $30 for service calls for them to come replace their broken modem. On top of that they take at least a week each time to come out. So I payed for a month of service I never received. My bill also fluctuates every few months and I am forced to call and wait on hold for hours. This is the worst company I have ever been a customer of. I can not wait for FIOS or something to come to my area.
