Comcast has the worst customer service!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Comcast increased my monthly billing rate by $25 twice without informing me. I got fed up and discontinued their services and made sure I had a ZERO balance on my account. Much to my surprise I received a letter from a collections agency regarding a Comcast equipment. I NEVER used or rented an equipment from Comcast as I had my personal router and modem! I called Comcast and was assured that it would be taken care of. I did not hear back so I called the collections agency and was told that Comcast did not contact them. I called Comcast again to make the correction with the collections agency...hopefully they get it right this time! By far the worst customer service experience.

I haven't had internet service since yesterday around 11am. I called Comcast around 3 pm and they said its a known issue and should be back around 5pm. Its now 4pm the next day, still no service. Been on hold with Comcast for over an hour. My modem is not on the end of life list and I have been a Comcast subscriber for well over twelve years. The lady told me I was put in a block of people that were getting service and not paying for it. A customer for this long and this is how I'm treated?

Two words: BBB complaint. That and FCC (sometimes) complaints are the *only* way to get the attention of this monopoly.

Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Charge a lot more than quoted for package

I was contacted 2 months ago by a Comcast representative telling me I could get more channels plus HBO and Showtime for less than I was currently paying just by signing up for the Comcast Triple Play package for a year. After a lot of questions and uncertainty I agreed. The first month of service I got charged what they said I would and thought this was a great promotion. The 2nd month of service they charged me $80 more than that! Perhaps they thought I would stop checking after the first month because it was set to automatic payments? Now when I try to argue with them they say that I was never promised the original rate and that this is what it costs. How do they get away with this stuff?

Comcast in Glenside, Pennsylvania - I have no idea how this company is still running

if you're one of the people whos concerning getting comcast internet service, never ever do it. The internet goes off frequently during the week, at least 3-5 times a week, extremely slow time to time. What ticked off was today. This comcast truck comes out of nowhere and start cutting cords in front of my house that was for the internet. The internet went off, my brother goes and talk to the lady. She says Our neighbor was getting internet service but had no idea why our internet was off. Checked our modem box, and tells us we have to wait until wednesday (friday today) In order for the technician to come in. i doubt the dudes probably gonna come in 2 hours late and would say "oh we have to come in tomorrow again" as always. And why the *** am I suppose to wait and pay for their fing service and not be able to use the internet for 5 freaking days without any prior notice?? Are they kidding me?? their customer reps some of their services are terrible, slow, and ignorant. My new hiring class from my work even agreed on comcast had horrible customer services. I have no idea at all how this company is still on the business. Since I dont have any internet access in my home, Im in front of my friends house waiting him for 2 hours, just to use internet. Do I seriously have to do this?? I have no idea at all why people are even joining comcast internet service. like 0% understanding.

Comcast in Kingston, Pennsylvania - Horrible customer service

I had internet only and I stream my TV shows. I originally purchased a middle of the road level internet pkg. I decided to add the phone. They arrived with a new modem and shortly after I had trouble streaming basketball games. I called and complained about my slow speeds, and ended up upgrading to Blast. They still sent someone out to the house, who said squirrels chewed through my cable lines. After the repair, I still saw intermittant speed problems. I read on the internet that the Comcast modems weren't designed to handle the speeds they promise. Two weeks later I get a letter from Comcast informing me of this very issue. So now I have to go to the office, and stand in a long line to get a new modem, go home, install it, then go back and stand in line to return the slow modem. Or, I can have it shipped to me and pay a fee! Where is the customer service in this scenario?

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but thought I would share and warn everyone of what happen to them if they should need a new modem: Hello Charmaine, I do not see that you have provided me with a telephone number for me to call. Please provide with that information so that I can speak with someone in regards to this issue. I attempted to use the "Chat session" last night and got absolutely nowhere. As noted in my email below, I asked for a representative to call me, "I would like to speak with someone between the times of 9:00am and 4:00pm EST in the very near future. My cell phone number is xxxxxxxxxx." I take it you and the company did not fully read the email and do not truly care about the customer and only look at whether or not the bill is paid in full. It has now been 24 hours since I sent this email and I am still without a resolution to this issue. It does not look like the 2 hour appointment or 24/7 open door service is living up to the hype that Comcast is making it out to be. I attempted to call both, 1-800-COMCAST and 1-800-XFINITY several times this evening, and every time I made it to prompt for which I was to speak with a live representative, I was disconnected! Between the two conversations I had and the attempts I made at trying to reach a representative this evening, I would say that I am at my 10th attempt for this modem. LAST TWO WEEKS I HAVE BEEN RUNNING W/OUT TV, PHONE AND INTERNET SERVICE EVERY TECHNICIAN THAT COMES OUT HAS BEEN TELLING ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND NEVER COMPLETES THE JOB. ON 1/12 I HAD A TECH. COME TO MY BUSINESS AND HAD A VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND WAS VERY RUDE, I STILL DONT HAVE PHONE SERVICE WHICH CUSTOMERS THINK IM CLOSED. WHICH MY PHONE VOLUME A DAY IS ABOUT 20-30 CALLS A DAY, AND MANY CUSTOMERS ARE THINKING THAT I RAN OUT OF BUSINESS THX TO COMCAST! Comcast in Trevose, Pennsylvania - What a horrible company on every level

Installer told me the cable modem did DHCP, which it didn't, so I hooked up a switch but only the "host" pc worked. After several frustrating calls to support trying to figure out why only one PC would work, I eventually figured it out myself and had to buy a router. Worst part was the hold times for each call were 10-15 minutes, and when I did finally get someone, they had zero comprehension of anything technical or the English language. I get my first bill (triple play), for $254 !!! WTF? They told me it would be $109! Fees, extra charges, and ONE TIME CHARGES that nobody could explain. The bill was consistently $173 every month thereafter. I finally call them and told them I can't afford 173 a month and wanted to take my package to a double play package, no more phone. At first they tried to convince me that it would only take $5 a month off my bill, I refused to believe that. I told them I wanted to start from scratch.. what does it cost for BASIC cable and high speed internet? They said $99... really? That's the price of T-play.. wtf? I told them to just do it because it's better than $173. Next thing I know the internet is so slow that I can't even check my email.. pressing the reload key ends up with 4 out of 5 attempts timing out. I call them back, hey my internet is barely working.. pages won't load. Playing an online game is impossible. They say, well you asked for "economy internet".. I said NO I did not, I asked for basic channel lineup. I was around when 24k modems were the new thing.. They loaded pages faster and more reliably. So they finally fixed that..but made me wait until monday.. said nobody there over the weekend could do it.. again WTF? So I get my new bill.. another $120 One time fee that nobody TOLD ME about. seriously? I'm broke and need to downgrade, so you are going to charge me for it?? Oh, and My bill... still in the $130 range, but I'm having a hard time decoding all the partial month credits from the downgrade and then partial month charges.. Obamacare is easier to understand, seriously. Comcast, you suck. In every way. I hope congress someday splits your company into 500 different competing companies that have to deliver affordable and better service in order to survive. I hope your stock holders all go broke. You are sucking the life out of people.

COMCAST My bill sky high--added extra services w/o my knowing

I called to pay my bill and found (after much calling around as couldn't understand the first person who said she was based in Pensacola FLA) that sports pkg, etc on my bill taking it to nearly $200 per month. I would NEVER add a sports pkg--and watch mostly non-cable channels. What gives---why must so much time be spent on this company? The Internet is poor--etc. Now 'investigating' to see who/when (at the company) added the extras and IN THE MEANTIME if I don't pay the fraudulent bill, service could be cut off.
