Comcast has horrible all around service in my opinion

This all began a year ago when I first signed up for comcast cable and Internet service, I had ordered cable boxes for 2 televisions, I was supposed to get two boxes and a modem for the Internet, when the technician came out he only brought one box and no modem so we had to reschedule for him to come back, the second time he came back he brought the other cable box and still no modem and on top of it I had to program the other TV remote myself, no it wasn't hard but wasn't my job to do that, I ended up having to go to the local comcast office and get a modem and then had a heck of a time setting it up because I had to go out and get a router for 70 bucks, yes I needed a separate router along with the modem, it took me a couple days to set it up because they tole me I would have to pay for the technician to come back out and hook it up for me, so after I had everything up and running I had to make another call to get some kind of code to access the Internet. so that was the first time I had bad service with comcast and I should have made it my last. A year later I ended up moving and I wanted to get my service transferred to my new apartment, they said I would have to pay more then what I was paying because the features I had weren't available in the area I was moving to note this was only 10 minutes away from my old apartment, of course I'm in a two year contract with them, so we had to sign into a new agreement but we were able to get almost the same price plane we were paying. So 5 months go by and we had some new people move in down stairs from us and they had comcast come out and hook up there cable, well the technician was so *** he hooked there cable up and disconnected ours because there was no splitter or something like that, my girlfriend called comcast was on hold for about 10 minutes, when we finally got someone he asked if the neighbors cable was working, I asked the neighbor if he had cable not thinking but he didn't have cable service and said no, SO I thought he meant no he didn't have service, so the technician on the phone said then there is an outage and wouldn't get someone out for 3 days, I then found out about 5 or 10 minutes later that he didn't have service, he informed me that comcast had been out to hook up the neighbors cable and in the past they did the same thing, so for years they haven't corrected this problem, My girlfriend then called comcast back and explained to them that this had been going on for years and she was be very respectful to the technician and he began yelling at her and being very disrespectful to her so of course she did the same. so we got an 8 dollar credit and no cable or Internet for 3 days. I am canceling my comcast service and going with another provider.

Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Scheduling woes

Recently both my roomate and myself returned from vacation to find all our comcast service was out - no cable, no internet. We called 1-800-comcast (the only # written on anything comcast has sent to us) to try and resolve the problem. First of all, we called from my cell phone - the phone number on the account - and got bounced around to different call centers all over the country because the area code on my cell phone number doesn't match the area code in the city I live in. Finally we get a service rep on the phone who tells us right away that she can't do anything for us since she's in another location, but is willing to give us the direct phone number for a service center near our house (she couldn't forward us though). When we finally get in touch with the local service center, the rep says we have to set up an appointment for a technician to come out and assess the situation. Now I knew we were going to have problems. Almost all the appointments they had available were for time frames in the middle of the days. Unfortunately, as we explained to the person on the phone, both of us work full time 9-5 not very near to where we live. We needed an evening or weekend appointment. The rep said he could get us an appointment 5-7pm 3 days from when we were calling. This was annoying as I needed the internet to properly complete some of my work at home but decided a 3 days wait was better than nothing. I repeated to the phone rep that 5-7 would work but we wouldn't be available until around 6. The phone rep said that wouldn't be a problem, said they would add a note to the service request to come late and to have them call my roomate's cell phone. The number was verified twice while we were still on the phone. Come the day of the appointment, I receive a call around 5pm from our Comcast technician that he is at the front door and no one is answering. I explained that he was suppose to call another number and wasn't suppose to show up until later in the evening. My roomate was on her way home, but wouldn't be there for another 10 minutes or so. He never called her even after I told him she was the person to contact and we set it up that way when I set up the appointment. About 5 minutes later he calls me back and says there's still no one there so he's cancelling the appointment. Of course I protested to which his response was "I can only wait 10 mins". Fine, it's true we weren't there, but at the same time we didn't think anyone would show up for another hour. Once again I had to call the local service center to reschedule the appointment - for 2 days later of course. Again I explained that we both work and can't leave in the middle of the day/early. Again, the rep said she would put a note on the service request that the technician should come as close to 7 as possible. Fast forward to the day of the appointment and once again the technician was at our front door at 5pm. Luckily I was able to leave my office a little early that day and was on my way home and able to catch him before he left. It was still annoying that simple requests from the customers were being ignored. The scheduling system they have set up makes it very difficult for people that work typical 9-5 shifts to set up appointments. If they were willing to commit to arriving at 6pm or even 5:30 it would make all the difference.

:( Since this last thunder Storm my internet stopped working, I called waited for 20 minutes finally some one picked up the phone and schedule for 5 days later. Tech was suppose to call me back on given number before come to home,never called and left a tag at door even I was at home. Called cust rep again and re-schedule for next 3 day.

Comcast worst customer service

First comcast took over 1 month and 4 visits just to install cable and internet service. After the installation I had repeated interuptions in service with no concern from them. I then moved and was fiven cheao cable boxes and modem. When I asked why change in product they stated it was due to zip code. This makes me question if they can base what equipment you get based on race or the area you live. Since the new equipment was poor quality the modem broke 3 different times. Each time I was charged $30 for service calls for them to come replace their broken modem. On top of that they take at least a week each time to come out. So I payed for a month of service I never received. My bill also fluctuates every few months and I am forced to call and wait on hold for hours. This is the worst company I have ever been a customer of. I can not wait for FIOS or something to come to my area.

They did this to me once. Thankfully, I didn't have the problems that you did and they fixed it right away.

However, when I went to cancel my service, they kept sending me a bill every month for 5 months after my service was shut off and I moved. Each month, I would call them and tell them to stop sending me bills. Finally, I was fed up with them and I demanded to speak with the manager.

I told her that, if I received one more bill, I would consider it harassment and that I was filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I never received a bill from them again.

Bottom line, call them, demand they reimburse you the returned check feel, and file a complaint with the BBB.

Comcast Philadelphia sends DRUNK technicians

Comcast - specifically Comcast in Philadelphia, is the worst run company I have encountered. And the websites to order service never work. Want to order their new Triple Play with cash back? I tried this 2 months ago and after talking with 10 people including a regional manager (not sure of the exact title) Comcast still thinks I have service in my apartment and when i go to order online, I get none of the deals. Nobody is able to fix this because they are too lazy to take care of this. Back to the title- In my building, Comcast has so far: 1. Sent a technician who was sent up to my apartment by the concierge and never showed at my door, then lied on the report and said nobody was home. 2. Sent a drunk technician to my friends apartment- smelling so bad of alcohol 3. Never once showed up on time to any appointment in my building And I have just bought a new TV and am thinking about internet/cable service. I am now 3 months WITHOUT comcast because I don't want to give them any money. Even though I want to try to order service now, my address is still screwed up so I am not able to. If anyone from Comcast is reading this- send a reply and I would gladly like you to call me. In the meantime, we will all continue to spread how poor Comcast deals with customers.

Comcast in West Chester, Pennsylvania - Useless Installers and Customer Service Reps

I took a day off work and the installers showed up late and took 4 hours to connect one phone jack. After reviewing the problem I solved 5 minutes. Addtionaly, I called to speak to a manager as the service was horrible on a spamming issue. The internet connectivity is a joke. As an IT professor my time wasted for hours as I called 10 times and nobody was remotely qaulified to help me. The company advertises great service and delivers another. Hopelessly under trained people and poor internet ervic as the router must have been reset one hundred times. Good Bye Comcast

Comcast sucks big time

I currently have Cable and Internet though Comcast and since I switched my phone service to Comcast month ago I am unable to access to my account on line because it needed a pin # which I was not aware of. When logging in, it prompted me to have my pin# mailed to me.However, its been 4 weeks and still no pin # sent. So I went to the local branch office and was told that a pin# will not be mailed out to me unless I show my valid ID. What a hussle! When I called few days ago and demanded for the pin # I was told they will mail it out within 24 hours. When I called today the account Manager said it would take 5-10 business days to get my pin #. The best with Comcast is that when I had them, they could have cared less about me. I had their cable (Hi-Def) and their high speed internet. The service would literally go out 3 to 4 days per month and I begged for them to check and change my line. All they did was tell me that it was something else and finally I couldnt take it anymore. Now, they market the heck out of me. The addage, which is true, is that it is 10 times cheaper to keep an existing customer than find a new one.
