Comcast Internet Service Review

Switched to comcast internet and cable X1 about 3 weeks ago with new cable lines inside and out. Both services are freezing up for reasons unknown. Internet didnt freeze with AT&T, and basic comcast box worked well. Cancelling before thirty days but not sure who will be new service.

Comcast in Burlington, New Jersey - Video Service keeps going out on my HD box

Without any justification, my video on my HD box has gone out 4 times in the past month. When I call Comcast support, I get put on hold and have waited up to an hour before speaking to a technician. Each time, the technician has been unable to resolve the issue and must then schedule an on site visit which is usually a 5 to 7 day wait. When I say that this is unacceptable (like today New Year's eve) and asked to speak to a supervisor, I am again put on hold and have to wait up to another hour. If I had a good alternative to Comcast for my internet and video services, I would switch. I have already switch phone service cause Comcast voice service was even worse then their internet and video services.

Comcast in East Brunswick, New Jersey - Consistently over charging and making it hard to fix

I have seen complaints against Comcast for poor service quality, horrendous customer service and over billing but I have not seen yet Comcast charging me monthly fee for my own modem. Recently I upgraded my Internet service to Blast; bought, installed and activated a modem; and returned their modem. But Comcast designates my modem as leased and is still charging for the modem. I was on chat with an agent named Arlan about the issue. He submitted a ticket and asked me to fax a receipt for the modem I bought. It is outrageous that Comcast would claim my modem as theirs and I have to prove that it is mine. I have the receipt but I did not fax. Weeks passed by and no one from Comcast did anything on the ticket. Another chat. The agent sent it to "higher department." In addition, I see there are two additional modems in my account that were removed by replaced by Comcast technicians. About a year ago my Internet speed was low and going down intermittently. After spending numerous hours over the phone technicians came twice and replaced the modems. They never updated my account to reflect that old modems were removed but the new ones were added. Here is another example of how Comcast appears to have an unwritten policy of over charging and placing significant impediment when customers complains so that many of them would give up and pay the charges. There was a service (TV and Internet) outage in my area. Of course, Comcast does not refund for the services customers did not receive. I got on the chat. The agent finally first agreed to refund $24.89. I told him that he still did not adjust credit for the Internet service. Finally, he did and said that he will credit my account for $34.95. What I found later that he credited for only $24.89. I was on the chat again. This time the agent told me that she will credit the remaining portion. And then about the Internet speed. I pay $10 extra per month for the Blast speed. It is never anywhere close to the advertised speed and sometimes the Blast is more like turtle. That is the pattern I experience all the time I have to deal with Comcast. This pattern indicates that Comcast may have an unwritten policy of over charging customers and making it extremely hard for customers to fix them so they can keep on over charging month after month year after year.

Comcast internet sucks. No other way of putting it. Half the month its laggy, nights it goes out so their *** router/modem combo can update itself with pointless *** (which just makes it work worse till the next needless self-update) and then when u finally have had enough and get a service person to come look at whats going on they cant find anything wrong. Im done with this company and urge anyone else reading this to stay away.

Comcast in Beachwood, New Jersey - Lousy internet service

I began having issues with my internet from day 1, but recently was the best, of the worst. I had issues for about 15 days straight, and had 'bullets' sent to my modem at least once a day. So about 10 days ago a tech came over. Now since i disconnected my modem overnight the *** thing decided to work when the tech connected it. I asked for a replacement since it was at least 10 years old and he wouldn't so it wouldn't come up as a service call which made no sense at all. Today I called, wasted 35 minutes and tomorrow they will replace it, only because i didn't want to waste my time driving 20 miles round trip, or want to pay a fee to have it mailed. Why would i pay a fee when they told me its an outdated piece of equipment. I am paying good money plus insurance to have proper service. You want me to go pick it up have it closer to me. Comcast is the worst, i am seriously thinking about Fios just to get some upgrades for a few years, by then maybe some good from NY might come down.

Comcast in Camden, New Jersey - Song and dance, smoke and mirrors !!

I was at the site, I took pictures of what Comcast called an interface !!! It looked like a rat's nest !! I will be notifying the P.U.C. after I finish this complaint. Outsourcing is not the answer. A technician has to have the proper training in today's warp speed technology... The B.S. doesn't cut it.. Your techs are sounding like politicians !! I demand attention and I want my WIFI to work all the time, not intermittently !!!! Think about your vehicle, how would you like it if your vehicle started on Monday, but not the rest of the week ??? Frustrating, to say the least. Comcast, with 41.3 million customers is getting a little complacent, I think. Call me at 8569799038. today...

Comcast - Worst Customer Service
For more than 4 days my internet speed was quite slow so I decided to do a speed test at speedtest.comcast.net. Surprisingly my speed was 0.41Mbps when it is supported to be atleast 4Mbps. I called the customer service guys and told him about the speed test result. He started asked me if my internet is working. I asked him if he has a slight clue what internet is and how it works. I just did a speed test on comcast. I asked him if I can speak to the manager and he transferred me to the main menu. I called back twice and the call got hangup on its own. This is the worst service I've ever used in my life. *** yourself comcast.

i agree, comcast is the worst! unfortunately, they have a monopoly in my area.

'just got internet back after quitting them 2 yrs ago, only because I need it for my job. good luck (bwa-ha-ha; they don't giva a sh:)

Comcast in Flemington, New Jersey - Aaaaargghhh!!! Digital Adapter Ordeal

Ten days ago, our cable went out. All of our sets flashed a notice that we needed digital adapters in order to continue service. I went online and ordered digital adapters for all the sets. They were to arrive within 3-5 work days. A week later they hadn't arrived, so I called to find out status. Waited for more than 30 minutes to connect to a live person before hanging up and attempting an online chat. Chat lasted more than one hour. They had no record of my account, then no record of my order, then no record of my most recent payment. In short, they wouldn't send me the adapters until I supplied the most recent payment confirmation number! So I just wasted over an hour and half of my evening and have nothing to show for it. Still no cable service. Just located the payment confirmation number and will call back. If this isn't ***, I don't know what is. Every experience with Comcast is the same. Terrible customer service and nobody knows anything. One more thing - try to pay your bill over the phone and they charge an additional $2.00 "convenience fee". Really?!! That's not to talk to a person - that's just to punch in your CC number. Ok. Rant over. I hope everyone who complains also writes to their local cable authority. It's right on your cable bill.

My bill specifically states unlimited internet. access you *** *** and you want to cancell my account for going over 250gb You *** everything is streaming media and digital downloads now days , it's *** easy to go over 250gb, jesus christ , downloading a game from steam already kills like 20gigs!! *** you guys

FTC hits Comcast CEO Brian Roberts with $500,000 fine. So what he makes over 30 million per year.

Brian needs to reread the Comcast code of conduct where he tells employees he will not tolerate dishonesty from us. Why is he on Obama's jobs council? He should be fired. Do as I say, not as I do.

Obama's slogan about "change you can believe in" should really be "the more things change the more they stay the same".

It's worse being an employee. At the Lynnwood, WA call center a fat sup named Kim Edwards sent an email requesting off the clock work. We are winning a class action lawsuit against them.

Our lawyers are experienced and successful at winning this kind of case and we have the evidence.

Comcast thinks that hiring a Perkins Coie lawyer will intimidate us. It just proves that they know they are going down and have a lot of money to waste.
