I wàs promised internet blast for 39.00 monthly. This increased to 69.00 a month. Ridiculous price for only internet. Now they sent a letter stating I was mischarged and it SHOULD have been 89.00 a month and subsequently they will charge 89.00 PLUS 13.00 a month in LATE fees until further notice. Comcast and VERIZON are related companies who work together to hold a monopoly in the Richmond area. I have filed a complaint with FCC for unfair and ludicrous business practices. If you want WiFi you have no choice . I am NOT paying 100 a month for internet services.

Comcast in Mickleton, New Jersey - Damned Internet-based ads!

I am totally frustrated with Comcast and their constantly bombarding me -- and all consumers -- with *** internet-based ads. They are everywhere, all the time. I have tried stopping them myself, but nothing works, because Comcast WANTS to SHOVE these ads down our throats! I would bet all these advertisers are paying Comcast big bucks to annoy consumers with these ads. And, as we all know, Comcast could care less about its customers. We consumers pay, and pay DEARLY, for our (lousy) Comcast service. We consumers should have THE RIGHT to see, or NOT to see, the ads we want!!!!

Comcast stinks

I decided to get rid of my tv cable and just keep my internet with Comcast. I returned the boxes to them and cancelled for the tv only. I get home and find I don't have Internet. I called Comcast and after I'm walked through what to do the Internet is working again. Three days later it's out again. After numerous calls, I get nowhere. They can't figure it out and have to send a technician out. I'm finding it really odd that as soon as I cancel one service with them, the other one stops working. Now I have to wait a few more days until the tech can come here to deal with a problem that I'm sure is coming from their end.

Comcast in Raritan, New Jersey - The Ultimate cheater

We purchased a new internet connection from COMCAST, and from the very 1st day, it was not working. After a several calls to customer care, they told that they will send the technicians, and if their materials are defective then they will not charge. But they charged for changing the modem, and other stuff along with 60$ for the technicians, so total 116$, without any reason!! It goes to around 2 months rental for their service. So with their monopoly business in US they are really cheating people.

Always an issue whether the picture is scrambled, sound cuts out or both. Always "temporary " outages and complete loss of picture almost like clockwork right around 8:30-9pm. Hope you don't want to watch a live show or movie, you'll miss half of it and have to get it on demand. Internet is a problem too. Losing internet connection when you have your own private wifi?? What a joke. My complex includes free cable in the rent otherwise I'd never pay for this kind of service.

I got the basic package with internet. Internet is always lagging, and channels mind you i only got the base package which has *** channels anyways, but channels are doubled, and some always have problems. WPIX which is 254 is always messed up, just to name one. Its bad enough you guys suck in customer service, and problem fixing, *** internet, and now your channels are not working. Are you guys that desperate for a dollar that ya need to steal, and give us problems just to make us upgrade to more unwanted channels? That in my booknis called a leaching parasite unworthy of acknowledging.

I recently got an updated router. Did the self install and discovered that although i already had service, i have to call Comcast to activate the line. I get on the phone with a rep who can't get it done but is itching to sell me a cable package (i dropped cable and phone and have only internet since last summer). I get a tech on the phone and we resolve the connection issue only to be bounced back to the rep who tells me that i can get internet, phone and basic cable with HBO for ~$86 per month, no contract and not a promotion. I said ok knowing i was going to their office the next day to return equipment and would find out the truth there. Sure enough, it was BS. The rep signed me up saying anything just to make his quota. I canceled the new service but kept the internet. My advice is to drop Comcast if you can or just retain internet and stream your video using Netflix, Hulu, whatever. Cut the cable and join millions of others doing the same and giving all cable companies the middle finger. Go online and look up how to accomplish this and help strike a blow against this monstrous monopoly.

Comcast in East Brunswick, New Jersey - Consistently over charging and making it hard to fix

I have seen complaints against Comcast for poor service quality, horrendous customer service and over billing but I have not seen yet Comcast charging me monthly fee for my own modem. Recently I upgraded my Internet service to Blast; bought, installed and activated a modem; and returned their modem. But Comcast designates my modem as leased and is still charging for the modem. I was on chat with an agent named Arlan about the issue. He submitted a ticket and asked me to fax a receipt for the modem I bought. It is outrageous that Comcast would claim my modem as theirs and I have to prove that it is mine. I have the receipt but I did not fax. Weeks passed by and no one from Comcast did anything on the ticket. Another chat. The agent sent it to "higher department." In addition, I see there are two additional modems in my account that were removed by replaced by Comcast technicians. About a year ago my Internet speed was low and going down intermittently. After spending numerous hours over the phone technicians came twice and replaced the modems. They never updated my account to reflect that old modems were removed but the new ones were added. Here is another example of how Comcast appears to have an unwritten policy of over charging and placing significant impediment when customers complains so that many of them would give up and pay the charges. There was a service (TV and Internet) outage in my area. Of course, Comcast does not refund for the services customers did not receive. I got on the chat. The agent finally first agreed to refund $24.89. I told him that he still did not adjust credit for the Internet service. Finally, he did and said that he will credit my account for $34.95. What I found later that he credited for only $24.89. I was on the chat again. This time the agent told me that she will credit the remaining portion. And then about the Internet speed. I pay $10 extra per month for the Blast speed. It is never anywhere close to the advertised speed and sometimes the Blast is more like turtle. That is the pattern I experience all the time I have to deal with Comcast. This pattern indicates that Comcast may have an unwritten policy of over charging customers and making it extremely hard for customers to fix them so they can keep on over charging month after month year after year.
