Comcast Has Been Incredibly Abusive
I am writing to in regards to Comcast Cable Television. My understanding is that the Better Business Bureauhas an unsatisfactory rating of Comcast. My understanding is that they only give two categoriesof ratings - satisfactory and unsatisfactory. Thisprofessional organization found the way that theyconduct business to be poor enough to give them anunsatisfactory rating. Here are a few websites which list complaints against Comcast: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/internet/comcast_isp.html http://www.consumeraffairs.com/cable_tv/comcast_cable.html http://www.satelliteguys.us/archive/f-107.html My understanding is that every posted complaint represents 500 or more actual ones, since many people do not post complaints generally, and specifically to webpages that have no real power to address their concerns. The behavior towards me has included: 1) Service technicians and customer service represents engaging in consciously vindicitve actions. I even caught them laughing about doing so on more than one occasion. The service tech waited for a key moment in a show and shut off the power to the box right then! 2) Service technicians providing inaccurate informaton (frequently) 3) Customer service represented providing inaccurate information (frequently) 4) Service technicians lying about what problemsare wrong. 5) Service technicians and their bosses consciously trying to evade solving problems. And, as you can review in the posted complaints, myissues with them parallel the experiences of manyother customers. Over the course of two years, I have spent, on average 5 and more hours per month trying to resolve problems with Comcast. Please note what kind of disruption to a person's life that this represents. That, over the course of two years, I have spent something like 120 hours - perhaps 6 full days of my life dealing with problems from this company. And this is the company that we are going to let do national security work for us? Exactly what kind of lunacy is that? They can't even get a TV to work, and we are going to trust them with our lives? This company needs to have its corporate charter revoked. Internet Magazines

The service was a nightmare from day 1. After 3 months of fooling around with the service reps--a virtual trip around the world--they send 2/3rds of the Stooges to the house. They spent 2 hours climbing around the house--but not the phone pole. Here's what they said: They're new at the phone business, and I should help them out by keeping a diary of problems or outages; then I should consult my neighbors to see if they are having a problem; and finally I should note the weather conditions and time of day when I am cut off from the world. If I will only cooperate we can get this service off the ground and running. I told them to go up to church and have a mass said for Comcast, because no earthly power could convince me to stay with them.
Comcast is horrible
Comcast cable has the worst customer service ever. Funny this is supposed to be a service industry and they suck at it! I tried to order service and called up several time only to get hung up on a few times. The other times that I did speak to someone they had conflicting stories/ offers/ promotions then the previous salesman. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Hope i never have to go through it again. I do not wish this one anyone. Comcast is a rip-off someone should put a stop to the monolopy they have on this industry.

Uppity uppity uppity Comcast customer service
I just got off the phone with a "manager" after the local Comcast office could not handle a complaint. They actually told me to go home and dial the 800 number and ask for a manager. After 20 minutes on hold trying to reach a "manager" the most uppity woman took my call. She wouldn't even listen to my complaint. When I tried to talk she just kept getting louder and louder and talked faster and faster and wouldn't come up for air. This only made me more angry and I reminded her that the whole deal with customer service was to listen to the customer and hear what they had to say. She then went mute and wouldn't say a word. I was then left talking to dead air. What's up with Comcast's arrogance that they can promote people to a level of management who don't have a clue as to how to fulfill their jobs? I can't wait for FIOS. Come on Verizon. As soon as you are on my corner I'm signed up. Comcast can go pound sand. I've sold all my Comcast stock. Wouldn't buy it back if I had a crystal ball and knew it was going to hit $50/share. Too bad we live outside of Philadelphia where the only thing you see on the horizon is the new Comcast ivory tower. Makes me sick to know that they are getting rich on our hard earned dollars.
hi i have cable tv freeze ups and i also get "a poor quaility signal"message when it goes out too.i also get a blank black screen and the audio por- tion "skips"for lack of a better description.they cant of wont fix it.comcast sucks.is THIS why im paying for?i have no choise either...not really.they have the monopoly in this area.can anyone offer me any suggestions?thank 4 reading this.has anone he -her ever used satillite tv?i hear it stinks 2.ill stick to cable tv.thanks 4 reading this
Comcast is a Ripoff!
Comcast may have a huge press blitz on regarding their “Big Push” to repair its image, unfortunately other than pay a good PR specialist I don’t think they have done anything to change their monopolistic user unfriendly ways. As a senior citizen I am on a limited income. The only time my TV is on is during football season yet the money grubbing, greedy monopoly that Comcast is insists that I pay over $70 a month just to get ESPN as part of a package that I don’t need any other channels from. These rates recently went up. How about a football package like the hockey package they offer. No. That wouldn’t get as much money into corporate hands. We have to stop this monopoly and call for a cable customer’s bill of rights. We need protection from the constantly increasing rates for decreasing service.

I've read where people aren't happy with comcast.internet or hd tv. I have to say that they have been more then willing to help me when I had a problem. They rewired my whole house and had techs here untill my problem was fixed. Every company has it's bad days ,but I'm very satisfied with my comcast and I have triple play, so there's alot that can go wrong. I hope the people that have a problem get them resolved, but as for me I like my comcast. thx ED taynpor in new jersey

Analog channel cut-offs without refunds. | Comcast review from Bridgewater Township, New Jersey
The all-digital television is not supposed to start for real until Feb. 2009 but Comcast recently shut down four channels. When I spoke to a cust. service (???) rep, she read from a script...blah, blah with no apologies. She said they're discussing(!!) possible refunds. If they thought I'd rent the converter box from them they were sadly mistaken. The rep also led me to believe they were planning to cut off more channels...all before the official date of Feb. 2009. Their high-handed arrogance is astounding! If I could switch to another provider I surely would.
I reside in Nashville, Tennessee and Comcast cable service here is absolutely HORRIBLE! Many of my complaints stem from the most obvious and makes you wonder why you pay so much every month (even with the constant price increases and channel changes) for something that...
