Comcast lieing and charging me for visit i was told was a comcast service prob!

i had a comcast tech come and fix my internet that was broken for over a month. In the process of fixing my internet (which he did fix) he somehow screwed up my cable. The tech had told me that he would not charge me for the service call because the problem was with comcast and not something that i could have fixed. Then i get my bill and i am charged a $60 "unbilled activity fee" which wasnt specified for what it was. So i called comcast and asked what it was for to only be told that the code was for a comcast service problem from when my tech came out and that it must have been a glitch in the system for me to be charged like that and that they would request a refund for me...which i would have to CALL BACK AGAIN to check and see if i actually got the refund. Then i called comcast again to see if they could fix my cable problem. i had called three times and had been on the phone for a total of 10 hours and with nothing fixed! They just kept telling me they have never seen this problem before and to call back if the problem wasnt resolved by resending a new signal. THEN i finally call one more time and talk to a billing person out of all people and he was actually quite intelligent and set me up for a tech to come out and fix the problem that the original tech had made. I then get a call on my scheduled day from the tech to tell me that there was no use in him coming out because there was nothing he could do to fix the problem because it was on a "national scale" and that the problems i was experiencing werent problems they were normal?????? lol! At this point i was outraged to be even told that he wasnt even coming out to look at the problem and called comcast to cancel my service.... only to have them not even care that i wanted to cancel and to tell me id have to call back because the people who can cancel my service arent working today...Beyond done with the problems of this service and the OUTRAGEOUS BILL for their *** service!

Comcast in Brighton, Michigan - Interrupted service will little credit amounts, harrassement for money and lies are endless

crapy services and not the worth the cost. I have had enough. I know that there is multiple people in this region that has had enough of comcast as well. all the endless phone calls the tech's comming out. time on the phone and waiting tech. appointments Adding to my contract and uping the amount on contract without my permission. taking away channels that are on contract wanting more money for them to give us customers what they promised and we the people have no say even when it is time to review enough is enough and enough is enough. when my contract is up, I am done. I am a woman of my word why can't they be a company is of their word even on paper? Check this, they usually can not find the problem does happens and when cause most the time is after hours. oh but the customer never knows cause we are the people and not lawyers.

You have to demand to talk to someone higher and keep going. I did this when they kept sending out idiots to do my service and after two weeks of persistent calls, I ended up with great service and almost 4 months free. NEVER GIVE UP.

Comcast Monopoly Criminal

Comcast is the most horrible service company I have ever dealt with or witnessed. How is comcast in business with all the complaints they receive? Is the attorney general paid off in each state they operate? If you try to cancel service they bill you anyway. If you need service you are on hold for 20 minutes at a time then hung up on. Don't ever ask for a manager on the phone thats instant redirect to hold then hung up on. Ordering service for comcast is a serious joke. I upgraded my plan online, due to the fact utterly impossible by phone. I completed my order and then you receive a live chat box where your order must be finished. The live chat operator informed me this would take a few minutes. That turned into an hour with me being on hold every couple minutes. Bad signal from their main cable box took over a month to get fixed. Appointments would be setup and Comcast maintenance personnel would not show up or call. When getting through on phone operator would make excuses for a no call no show, which in any legitimate employment calls for termination. Avoid comcast like the plague. All Comcast can provide is fraudulent bills that you cannot question, stress of being hung up on, rude operators that don't care, and horrible technicians. Simply pathetic as a company.

I agree Comcast customer "service" is the worst. Notice how Comcast Mark doesn't offer a telephone number to talk to a live person.

Comcast doesn't just have the worst customer service in the business. Comcast doesn't have ANY customer service.

Comcast-Corrupt Monopoly

I currently have comcast, and I hate it. Comcast is such a Monopoly it is ridiculous. Well, why do you have comcast if you hate it, Michelle(Me)? Honest answer? Because there are no other bloody cable/internet providers in my area! It's ridiculous! Even my school-dorm-ish-situation corrupted me into getting comcast (I'm a college student). When I moved into the dorms they had a comcast guy on the first floor, advertising and selling internet and cable subscriptions to unknowing new-college-teenagers. The $60 a month for 6's months is what screwed me over as a new coming student. DON'T DO IT NEW STUDENTS! I started with $60 dollars, and now I'm paying over $100+, plus late fees, because they never send me their billing statements on time. Not to mention over half of my channels don't come in, and my internet goes out every other day or so. Comcast is awful... I can't afford this ***. I am looking into changing services. If you've seen this before it's because I'm so upset I'm posting this everywhere...

Michelle, I totally understand and feel your disgust for Comcast what a racket, poor service,terrible customer service when trying to get a situation straighten out,there's no communication between the departments. I had them for approx.

3wks and it was one problem after another, countless hours, yes hours on the phone. I finally said enough is enough, made one last phone call to Comcast, chewed them a new one and took all there *** equipment and turned it in. Well I to needed cable and internet, shopped around and went with Cricket Broadband for my internet and Dish Network for my cable. I know u said ur in a dorm so installing a dish poses a problem, but if u look into Cricket or perhaps another broadband service using a usb data modem, u will be forever happy.

I can even watch TV on my computer now and I can take my usb data modem with me and use it in another computer or with my laptop. Look into and tell comcast to pack sand!!!!

Comcast in Battle Creek, Michigan - Service. I am fed up with losing internet and phone service Everytime it Rains and Snows.

If their was another service available, it would be to my best interest to look into changing. This issue has Not been remedied for years. Very Poor service for the amount of money being payed to a company that cares more for the money being received than from where there money is coming from. It would seem after all the complaints issued Comcast would care enough to correct the problems and create better customer service. Even though Comcast advertises good customer service they are very far from accomplishing that goal. I strongly suggest Comcast works diligently on achieving that goal.

My story: I changed my credit card - normal thing, no? Yes, in the normal world.

Not for comcast. I tried to update the autopayment to a new card, the website was giving me errors. So I made a 1-time payment, tried to talk on their chat (ridiculous, the representative disappeared for half an hour, in the middle of a 'conversation'). I went online again and set up automatic payment, and I THOUGHT I WAS SUCCESSFUL.

So now I logged in, it's fricking February, and the auto payment is still not working AND THEY CHARGE ME LATE FEE.

*** yeah, a great business plan - I'm giving them my credit card and saying 'hey take the money', they refuse to take it on time and charge me for late payments!!!!! How a wonderful business plan they have, to screw things up themselves and charge customers for it!!!!!

Comcast: Continuous Rate hikes, terrible service, too big to care!

First I had to endure many tech visits to resolve my TV cable reception. Had to call 15+ times.. meanwhile they continue to jack up my rates.. citing promotional period ending... ridiculous... its a bait and switch method continously. Instead of helping me with the current rate hike, she tries to sell me a phone package! A higher costing package that I dont need. The customer service reps dont understand Michigan is in hard times.. and several of us dont have jobs right now. They just don't care as Comcast rakes in the dough. Today, one offered me a $20 discount , after they jacked up my rates by $28, but wouldnt implment the discount till next month. My monthly billing period renewal doesnt even start for three more days, but she wouldnt implement it for a month! Very inconsiderate... So for anyone considering Comcast.. RUN RUN to any other service provider... You will be sorry.... You will waste your time trying to get a supervisor or someone to listen to you.. they will act like they want to help.. but it will take months to get your issues solved. Meanwhile.. they will gladly take your money... they don't care... at all. I changed to a basic package and am currently researching other companies. And then I will terminate my Comcast nightmare once and for all.

Comcast in Troy, Michigan - Doesn't Honor Commitment

In December 2009 I signed up for 12 months of cable, phone, and internet service beginning December 29th, 2009. This package was offered by a Comcast Sales Rep (Matthew Burtaw) and the price was guaranteed for 12 months. Service was offered, accepted, and then installed on December 29th, 2009. Today I received my October 2010 statement and my price has changed. Upon calling Comcast, I was advised that my account was "audited" and I should not have been given three DVR's at the price I was paying. Therefore, based upon this audit, Comcast decided to increase my price to reflect current market prices. The rep indicated there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to a Supervisor which was not available. I was told I would receive a call back within 24 hours. I am writing this letter 72 hours later and still have not received a call.

They are ignorant. We were quoted $163 a month.

This was for our cable, DVR, phone and high speed internet all together. Our bill has never even been below $280 per month. You get the slightest bit behind, and they disconnect you. When you do try to ask them to allow you 3 extra days to pay your bill, they deny to work with you.

Oh well if they disconnect me this time, I will look for an attorney. I think there are more than enough complaints against them to file a class action law suit.

I am fed up with them. They screwed our address up, yet they take it out on us as if we did something wrong.

Comcast=Comcrap

We have been customers of Comcast for a long time. but recently they switched the normal cable service to digital cable. The upgrade was supposed to be free, but they had other plans for us. FIrst off, we now all need a converter box for each of our TVs. And it requires a plug in transformer to operate. So there goes one outlet... forever. So We get 6 Boxes with one huge box the size of a small desktop computer. Which we did not need nor order. So we get charged extra for that. Then we had to call Comcast and wait 40 minutes to sync our service because all the boxes have to synced to a frequency. So we Tried 4 times and it did not work. 4x40=160. That is 2 hours and 40 minutes on the phone! After only getting 2 working channels, we sent in the box that was not woking (large one). They then charged us for another box and repairs on the box that came to us broken. We went through 3 boxes. And we also have internet through them. And It staring to act up...

Hello I know U have got 2 b smarter then that! I Bet U actually sat down and read your terms n conditions b4 U said "yeah schedule me for the earliest appt!

I need my cable on now!" Look they made the rules and u had 3 options Agree and Accept, Disagree and Neg., Disagree and Take your business else where!

Stop acting like some1 did something 2 purposely harm or inconvience you! Next time b a little wiser b4 u make decisions!

Comcast in Ferndale, Michigan - Internet is always down

Comcast is the worst provider for internet in the WORLD. We have been using them for our business and got their "business class service" more like Garbage class service. This internet connection goes down 3 out of the 5 days in the week one day we were down for 8+ hours and when you call in they tell you everything under the sun except the truth. I love how companies like Comcast can charge for a service they don't provide. We are getting rid of Crapcast and going to a T1 even though we don't need one it is the only way to get rid of Crapcast and their terriable service. A word to the wise if you are thinking of running a business of Crapcast DON'T. Instead get a couple of tin cans with some string and I am sure that will be better than Crapcast and its free

I did a search online for the top head of comcast, wrote him a somewhat nasty email about the same thing. Next week 3 of their techs were at my home and finally fixed the problem.

They also researched the line from our home to the pole and found a worker did not install the new equipment correctly. Have had no problems since, but I don't know the name of the VP I emailed, but I did get results.

Tired of paying out good money for bad products. Time to fight back.
