I have spoken with 3 different customer service representatives whom all 3 have been very unhelpful I'm solving my issue. Because I want to cut my internet and phone service and keep Only cable, it seems as if they are mad about it and can only provide me with high rates, which are advertised lower. Poor customer service on helping the customer find a better solution. Ending result= me going to another provider who values my loyalty.

Comcast in Grawn, Michigan - No Customer Service

My 2 phone lines, Internet, and cable TV with Comcast stopped working 2 days ago. After 2 hours, 7 phone calls (I was dropped 4 times, waited 45 minutes on hold another time) and multiple trouble-shooting actions on my end, I was told it will take 4 days before they can send a tech. They wanted me to talk to different people for each of the services. I had to insist on a tech call because everything is out. They offer no explanations, support, empathy or concern. I need service for a business I run out of my home, but get nothing but excuses from Comcast. For this I pay premium prices. Thanks for nothing.

Comcast's UTMOST respect for privacy and security.

I have been a Comcast customer since mid 1996 and predate a lot of their current services (luckily). I received a voicemail that I had infringed the copyrighted work of someone, so I called them back to figure out what was going on. The first two representatives hung up on me when I wasn't even being rude (hadn't gotten a chance to even, literally in the middle of the call they were just not there anymore). By the 5th call I finally reached someone who told me to check my Comcast email for details on the issue. I have never at any point set up a Comcast email, as that's something usually done at the creation of a new account, and like I said, I started my service prior to a lot of their additional services (email, digital cable, cable internet, etc etc). I told them this and they insisted I did have an email account with them. They refused to tell me the content of the email or the copyright violation as that's *personal information*, and kept directing me to check my Comcast email myself. Despite numerous attempts to explain I've never once had a Comcast email, they would not explain the copyright issue, so I asked them about the email account itself. Apparently without my permission or knowledge, they had opened an email address in my first and last name, as in firstlast@comcast.net (something I'd never do for privacy's sake). After some cajoling, they provided me with "my" password (the password THEY made up and being something so simple that I'd NEVER select as my password). Finally I logged into my comcast account and had to set up a security question for my 'new account' (at the risk of repeating myself, I NEVER had a comcast email account). I looked at my ONE email that arrived 3 hours prior, informing me that someone had downloaded 384kb of a 14 year old song from me and they demand that I delete the file. They had the song title, how it was downloaded, everything. I had downloaded an album I already own on vinyl via bittorrent (to have a digital copy for CDs/my phone/my own *** business) and it seeded (was available to other bittorrent users) for approximately 40 seconds after completion before I removed it from bittorrent, as I have no intention to share files, merely reproducing something I already own for my own use. Mind you, this violation wasn't for me downloading the album itself, this was for someone downloading mere kilobytes of a song off of me in the time it took me to go "Oh good, that album's done. Let me close bittorrent." tl;dr Comcast will invade your privacy down to the minute detail, but they wouldn't want you to "social engineer" your way into your own email account that they created for you without your permission. I hope no one was negatively affected monetarily by the 384kb of unlistenable raw data that was "pirated" off me. Imagine how much you do on the internet that Comcast is keeping tabs on. Think about that when you email your boyfriend a hot picture, or when you send your girlfriend a song you wrote, or when you send your doctor a picture of what that rash looks like today.

That is even more a reason for me to never go back to them. You would think they would do something to change their image, but apparently they just don't care. Sorry you had to go through this.

Comcast in Howell, Michigan - Poor service, long wait time on hold

I have had Comcast for maybe 3 months. from the start there have been problems. gave me equipment for cable phone and internet, self install. couldn't get internet or phone working , cable worked for 30 minutes then went out. 10+ calls to them and 2.5 hours later I had cable. no phone and no internet. I went to bed . next day tried to get it working again , no luck. 10+ calls again to them still no help. I couldn't understand the person on the other end. I went into local office and was told I had no internet or phone. really then what is all the stuff for? ended up with the internet. was told what my monthly bill would be. got my bill and it was a lot higher. Went in to discuss the bill and pay what was to be owed. they told me there is a fee to pay the office, F that I will pay online then. now my next bill is 2 1/2 times what my monthly fee is. called them,they claim no payment was received. once again put on hold for over 5 minutes . when the person returns she says they have to put me on hold again, this time after 5 minutes we were disconnected. this is bs!

Twenty-five year customer from many name changes and Comcast has sunk to the depths of poor service. FILE COMPLAINTS ... BBB, FCC, FTC (check the rules on the federal agencies).

Last few of my calls (AFTER the phone tree didn't disconnect me):

a. Phone system acknowledges it has my account; 'tech support' denies I have service.

b. Frequently overhear the f-bomb from other employees in the background.

c. Disconnected by agent on verification because I (for example) said D-R-I-V-E. "Nope, your acct says 'dr'".

d. "uhhh, I'm just paid to answer the phone".

e. Asking about modem health at THEIR end: "that's none of your business" click/disconnect.

And WHY are so many people being charged for their own equipment which just happens to coincide with a tech scanning the equipment? Calls to provision own equipment (modem) results in the phone agent "forgetting" to tick the computer screen that it's customer equipment. Lots of accidental mistakes, eh?

Oh, and a tech once (2 months ago) swore at my elderly aunt.

Comcast is horrible!!!

I just have to say that comcast is the shitiest company on the face of the planet (yes worse than haliburton). To even attempt to speak to one of their jungle monkey representatives you need to jump through a million hoops. When was the last time you took a *** and why? Everytime you speak with a new csr, they all have different answers to the same question. There internet only works half of the time. The bills they send you never make sense and they always overcharge people. The things that they do and get away with are borderline illegal. I live in the city and there is no one else to choose from for internet service. talk about a monopoly and just plain not giving a ***!

My internet connection sucks. They have the worst customer service. They do not respond to any of my calls nor do they try to set it right. They once told me that the problem might be with my router. I changed my router and also the same problem. I connected to it via LAN and still the download speed son speedtest.net is around 3 MBPS this is the worst provider i have ever ever dealt with. I am planning to change to any other possible provider on this planet but not them. They are the worst providers! they CHEATED me.

I have to agree with you. I also have a problem with the price.

When I signed up for the bundle package it was a lot cheaper & I was also sold on the fact that I would have caller ID on my TV since my dad is disabled.

After 6 months the price more then doubled & we never got the TV caller ID, when I called about it they said "oh sorry thats not available in your area." Even though they said it was when we signed up. They just lied about everything to get business.

Comcast wireless help

I have been having problems with my wire less router. That came with the Internet service I received from comcast. Now you have to pay already 20 a month for your modem and 7.99 for router each month. But hear is the cache !! They want us customers to pay 39.00 to pay anther company to fix any problem that you have with it and pay 9.00 each month for that service. Now that's a gimmick!! This is not my property i do not own them i am renting them from comcast . So I should not have to pay anything extra for there service

Comcast, horriblehorriblehorrible!

This is the worst internet provider I have ever chosen. Occasionally, the internet connection is fine, but frequently there are a wide scale of problems. Recently it has taken six times the normal time or more to load a video on any site. Gaming online is now impossible due to the mountain of lag. I'm positive it is not my computer, because I have scanned it several times and restarted it, but nothing changed. Another computer in the same house is having the exact same problems. I do not recommend Comcast to anybody. It took me forever to go through Google to get to this site due to the slow loading, but I felt writing this review would be worth it before I give up on it again for the night. *** you Comcast, *** you.

Between Comcast and Nothing? I'd Rather Live in the Woods.

I just really wanted to share my last experience with all the users out there to let you know what you will get if you go with Comcast. Let's put it this way: If it was between Comcast and nothing at all, I'd rather live by myself in a log cabin in the woods. When Comcast learned that I was canceling my service, they decided that they didn't like that all that much, so they chalked up over $300 of wrongful charges onto my account. I had had a one year contract with them that was shotty at best throughout the year, and the last month of my service, I didn't have service at all! So, I called and canceled. I sent back my equipment and was all set until one day they started calling. First, they told me that I owed them for three more months of service and for not returning my equipment. After months of fighting with them, they finally negated the equipment charge, because surprise! they found it! Then they tried to charge me for three months which I had already paid for, and had a receipt for! Finally, after about 6 months of no contact, I get a letter in my mailbox. This letter is informing me that I have apparently owed them $100 for so long that they have sent it to collections and are affecting my credit score. I called them, and the woman told me that I'm screwed, because it TOOK ME SO LONG TO DEAL WITH IT THAT IT'S OUT OF THEIR HANDS, even though the last time I had spoken to them they said I didn't owe anything. I will never use Comcast again, none of my friends will ever use Comcast again, and I suggest none of you do either, unless you want them attempting to trash your credit score just because you canceled their service. If you think it's bad being a comcrap customer it's way worse being an employee. In the Lynnwood, WA call center a fat sup named Kim Edwards sent email telling us to work off the clock without pay.

We were fired not her when we told HR. Call the retention department and ask for discounts.
