Every day... for the past week and a half, internet service has gone out. Each time it has a fit, it goes on and off erratically for a good 2-3 hours. Every day. You see Comcast. The word "outage" implies "oh, something went wrong! We'll fix it!", and it certainly does...

Something tells me you'd do it yourself, but you're too *** to figure out how to do basic tasks.

Worst company for billing. Constant changing of pricing. Call them and they all lie. I get a different story every time even if call is only a day apart.

Comcast in South Bend, Indiana - Courteous and Incompetent

I have the triple play, but only get one service - the phone, which we should probably cancel anyway. Since the digial conversion, we don't have TV service about 25 percent of the time. Internet service is at half speed and they sent a new router which made no difference. Four techs out for TV and finally one says, "you have a weak signal at the pole, you are lucky to have any picture at all." "Line maintenance" comes and they are four houses away, never fix the issue, am told I would get a credit, and they increase price 20 bucks. Worst service ever.

Comcast is the worst

i dont even know where to start. I am in discussions with my lawyer right now because of this mess. we have had lousey service from comcast for ever. we are extremely far from the amplified signal that supplies our house. the funny thing is there is another feed that is one house away but comcast insist on stringing my cable feed through trees in my yard. then a crew they hired that can't speak english shows up unannounced and starts digging in my yard. they spraypaint my concrete and still havent hooked up anything different. my lawwyer is clammering at this case.

Comcast in South Bend, Indiana - Support squad rebate

I called what I thought was Comcast to get a wireless router. Come to find out, it is support squad/saveology that I am talking to. I buy a router with the promise of a $45 rebate. When I get the router, I have to cancel the automatic $10/month fee for the service, which was a pain. At any rate, when I go to get the rebate like the salesman Roger Donahue told me I could get, I find I am not eligible for it because of a new service I didn't sign up for (I was an existing customer with Comcast). I call telling them I was told I could get a rebate. They were going to "pull the tapes and listen to the call" and get back to me. They never did. I call again weeks later: the manager can't be found but I'll get a phone call that day...no call. I call back weeks after that, wait a long time on hold, and am told I'll get a call back within the hour about what they determined regarding what I was told on my original call with Roger. No call back. What a piece of *** company...how do those that make decisions there even sleep at night?

Same thing! I called both Support Squad and Comcast and both deny charging us for their services.

Chase credit card called support squad and was able to dispute our charges. WTF?!

How can you get comcast when you cannot afford it when you are on SSI?

AM I GOING TO HAVE TO CHOSE BETWEEN food and cable? I'm on SSI and cannot afford comcast at 70.00 / month with everything costs more.I feel like this is another SCAM!! IT IS SIMPLY UNACCEPATABLE,they think they will gain more customers,WRONG!!!,People cannot pay these insane money prices with the econmy,In my book, family first,then luxeries!MYpoint is this is unfair to the disabled and poor,wich we are both,wife has been disabled entire life due to espispy,she cannot work,i work part time,but do not make enough to pay for everything,AGAIN I SAY THIS IS WRONG!!!

Food more important than any cable company, I going to shut down my cable also. In not worth the price of going without food. I can't see paying out 80.00 just to see tv.

Do you expect anyone to feel sorry for you? You don't need cable to live so stop you're whining.

You do realize that it's not Comcast's responsibility to make sure that you have your soap fix or are able to watch Oprah every day, don't you? Why don't you get the local channels? It's because you feel entitled to get the highest level but be able to only pay $20 a month because you're on a fixed income.

Grow the *** up.

You're online, that should be enough. If you're at the library (which I highly doubt) then go check out some FREE movies and stop you're *** complaining.

It appears that your computer is working just fine and you're able to afford internet access - read your news and catch up on your soaps from there. There are lots of things I'd like to have too, but alas, evil people and organizations expect me to pay for them.... :cry

It's possible to qualify for a "Senior Citizen" rate--IF Comcast offers such. I know AT&T was offering Senior Citizen rates on some of their services in florida.

:? If you can't afford it, you can't get it.

Sorry to hear about your situation, but Comcast (or other cable tv) is not a right. It is a "luxury", to use your term. This issue is not about fairness.

No one needs cable tv. Be glad you can put food on the table and have a roof over your head.
