Billing is a joke. Canceled cable, told I must drive 30 minutes one way to return equipment at my expense because they close customer service centers. Comcast has a monopoly and requires a class action lawsuit for their unethical business practices.

icancled my service because I have had my bill change each month.Received a statement that I had a 65.33 refund. I cashed the refund put the money in my ck acct an paid my rent.Got a notice that my rent ck was65$ short.BOUNCE-FEES!!!!!!!!!!!! A box doesn't work. Tech support says the legacy box is incompatible on the same line as an X1 box. I must have two X1 boxes but another group has to authorize it. The other group simply said that tech support does not know what they are doing, that they say this all the time, but it is not true. No authorization for a second X1 box. I say I don't care which box, just one that works. Tech services says it is shipping a box. So, why reflect that here? Third time with an issue that I authorized the follow up survey. Only when a problem is corrected by resetting or something simple do I get the call. When the problem goes deeper, I do not get the call. Sounds like they are stacking the deck. I have tried for a half hour to find an email address of some higher up than the same tech support/customer service people that are fighting each other, so that the suits would understand what is going on inside the company. Can't find it, so here I report.

Comcast in Valparaiso, Indiana - Cable issues and service

Cable cut our wire to our house while doing the neighbors home. We called cable for hours and talked to several people outside of the United States. You can hardly understand these people and they cannot understand us also. At one point we were told to take in the modem,,,which we did. Well, that modem was bad. We were told service could not be till the following Tuesday at the earliest. It is Saturday! So we continued to call and finally after much discussion and and no taking their *** we had service set up for the next morning. It took a few hours but all is fixed and yes the line to the box was cut by the cable guy...why do we as customers have to deal with foreigners about cable. Can they not keep business in the U.S. ? It sucks. Always get the run around...nobody is responsible for good service. Yet cable jacks your bill up every chance they get. Get a customer service that is American...when we need to talk to a rep I would like to be able to understand them and they us. It is rediculous and even cheap on cables part. Your are a service in America to Americans so get American service reps. You sure take my American money so I would like to be happy with your service. And you should compensate people who have to deal with all the b.s. your company puts out.

Comcast in Fishers, Indiana - Internet service dropping out

having had the service for some time 2+ years and in the last year the problem has continued to increase in frequency. our video feed has no problem but the internet drops off completely we have had customer service out 2 times and they all brag how the signals are adequate and we should not have any issues after replacing the router/hub/wireless device they leave. only to have the problem happen again and again. the us/ds lights will start flashing and go thru the restart whatever and service will soon return sometimes for a short period and sometimes longer, the problem has only been acknowledged by there online tech support and they could not do any thing for it. they all pursue the WiFi as the problem but my computer with monitoring software is a hard line and i am surprised it has been up long enough to type this text when the upstream/Downstream lights drop out the link to the provider service is basically gone. This stops all thru put. i am pursuing other providers. i am sick of it and will not recommend it to family or friends.

This is called "ranging" when a couple of the lights on your modem/gateway drop off. You can replace the modem a thousand times and the same thing will occur.

The reason is because the problem exists before it even gets to the modem. This is clearly a case of signal loss. Since you said you are not experiencing reception issues on your tv(s), then the signal loss is close to the modem. Verify the coax (screw on cable) is finger tight.

Follow that same cable from the back of the modem. Is there a splitter you happen to run into?

Replace that two dollar point of failure. Also, no ports on a splitter should be left open as often times ingress and egress are a common variable based on the symptoms you are experiencing.

This company doesn't know it head from its ***! When ur company is 95% customer service, maybe u should hire people not from the *** Philippians or anywhere else for that fact! I want to be able to understand the person I am talking to and they should be able to understand me! I don't want to repeat myself 100 times to get NOWHERE!!! I have been trying to get new boxes for 2 months and a new modem. They sent me boxes, but who would be surprised, they were the wrong ones! And I have never yet once received my new modem! So here we r again, going into month 3 and still waiting! Then I told them they needed to compensate me, they said they were going to review it Bc they couldn't do anything yet since I haven't received my boxes.... How messed up! Word of wise, go with the other company if u can!!!

Something tells me you'd do it yourself, but you're too *** to figure out how to do basic tasks.
