Comcast admitted charges weren't correct, still wouldn't reimburse

I realized from my bill that Comcast was charging me for a modem that I was not renting from them. I had purchased my own modem several years ago. Customer service stated they showed at least two years of this $10 per month charge, but they couldn't go back any further. Do they not keep records past two years? I have had my own modem for 8 years. Supervisor at the call center stated that it was my responsibility to inform them of the wrong bill when it occurred. That even though they have documentation of my $10 per month payment for several years, they could only credit me $30. This is their policy and they would not budge. I have been with Comcast for 11 years, but I will not be with them another. For a conglomeration of this size to have no customer loyalty is very sad.
