We cancelled our Cable TV (because we should not pay for what we don't want to see) and have only had their internet service for the past year, but three months ago started having issues. We are kicked-off several times a day, everyday. We've had numerous service calls and customer service is a joke. When they could not repair the issue they gave me free basic cable (again) so we watched the SuperBowl, then immediately turned it off. I'm not sure what trailer trash they are producing TV content for, but it's sure not us... Installing Sonic this week and chunking the bloated, corporate cable ***-Cast for good.

Cancellation of Comcast Business Service

Comcast has to be the WORST company in America. I'm paying nearly $200/mo for their business internet. Nothing wrong with the internet service but God help you if you try to cancel. They make you jump through hoops just to get them to send you the cancellation (which you cannot do online). Then they won't send it to you. And, they say 60 days (2 full months at $200/mo) before they can flip the switch. They can turn it on in 15 minute but they have the audacity to bleed you for two additional months service before they can "get around" to turning it off. How companies like this manage to stay in business is beyond me. Two tin cans and a piece of string would be a major technological improvement. They won't let you talk to anyone in management. Their strategy is to simply wear you down till you just shut up and go away. They are absolutely HORRIBLE!!!

Contacted Comcast on Sept 22nd to cancel services, spoke with a rep who was processing the request and informed me the prorated balance would be refunded to my account November 7th, received a bill from Comcast for service, contacted once again and discussed situation with another rep, in review he saw that the account was supposed to be cancelled, according to him, on the 24th. I argued and stated I had called on the 22nd but after a minute conceded the two days wasn’t worth arguing any further. The agent agreed to backdate the cancellation to the 24th and refund the unused portion of my services November 16th, opened a bill from Comcast showing an outstanding charge of $67. Contacted Comcast immediately and after 2 reps found out this was a $90 charge for non-return equipment. I stated we had never been told we needed to return the equipment and that we would do so immediately. Equipment was returned on Nov 17th to a Comcast brick and mortar facility and a receipt showing the return was obtained. Early December, contacted Comcast again to complete closing out the account. Agent stated it was in process but didn’t see the returned equipment December 29th, contacted Comcast yet again as I had not received the outstanding credit. Spoke to an agent who informed me that I had not received any credit because I was being charged for services from the backdated cancellation of Sept 24th through to November 17th when I returned my device. I disputed stating I had done what was required and it was Comcast’s issue if they couldn’t disconnect service after it was requested. I was told a research ticket was filed for their back office team to investigate internet usage to determine if they could complete the credit. I was told if there was no usage that the credit would be applied. I was told a supervisor would contact me within 2 weeks with the results – no contact ever January 15th Contacted Comcast, was routed through 4 agents, finally to a retention agent. After providing a detailed update of what has occurred provided a $60 credit and stated the Supervisor would have to provide the remaining amount but he/she was not in and would not be back in the office until that Thursday but when they arrive back they would process the remaining credit to 0 out the account and contact me. – no contact ever I contacted Comcast on January 22nd, finally reaching an agent after working my way through the sales department. I again explained my situation to a Billing rep who stated he couldn’t help. I asked for a supervisor and was promptly disconnected. Second call January 22nd, again routed through sales got ahold of an agent named Mike, he reviewed my account and was working on making the credit to the account when, surprise, promptly disconnected. It has been 4 months since cancelling my services. I am due approximately $23 in refund, yet Comcast has charged me $90 for equipment that I returned and haven’t been credited, in fact they have refused to provide a credit for the equipment yet they are in possession of it. I still don’t have my refund, I have been put into collections and threatened to report the past due amount to the credit bureaus. I have performed my duties in this relationship while Comcast has continually failed to follow up on their commitments.

Comcast in Buford, Georgia - 300 Gb limit or AKA Data cap

With 300 Gb limit I don't need 50 Mbps speed so I downgraded my internet to 3 Mbps or Comcast is loosing 36$ a month just from my family! But we all need to do that to show them that they cannot do whatever they want! Please people downgrade your internet and TV to show Comcast that we are more and we are bigger then them. Comcast "BLAST" actual download speeds

I'm downloading large files over the Internet. My application shows the transmission speeds. Blast is advertised to be 105 Mb/s. My application continually shows .48-.56 Mb/s. Comcast purposefully misleads customers and does not inform the customer of the IDEAL and RARE situations under which 105 Mb/s is possible. This has been consistent for over 5 hours. Further, their best effort of advising on the conditions under which such an attractive number is possible is a shot from the hip. It's a sad situation that Comcast has a monopoly on some areas and in other areas they are seen as the lesser evil.

I can not list everthing that this company has done to me. It would be a book. My only advice is never use Comcast unless you have no choice. Poor product quality, worst customer service in the "world"(really), nobody in charge, etc.....I have used Comcast for 20 years on and off. No choice, they have a monopoly. I did recently make a huge mistake. I believed they improved and changed their ways. No chance! I ordered and had installed their Triple play. Had it for 2 weeks, then canceled after 15 service calls, and 35 hours on the phone. I have to use Comcast for internet because of where I live, but I will never use them for tv again. I just wish someone could provide internet for me at a reasonable price. If they could I would be gone. SERIOUSLY, DON'T USE COMCAST/XFINITY. IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE SORRY!

Comcast in Kennesaw, Georgia - Hidden billing increases

Just signed up for comcast and 2nd month in a row bill is wrong. My internet fees just went up and i was told there was nothing i can do about it. No reason other than comcast raised fees was given. I was not notifed and i signed up with them under a different fee structure. I think it is shady that they increase the cost for an extra service i asked for yet i get no benefits and i can cancel it as i need internet and without the blast and the modem i cant work. I will be looking elsewhere. I have to examine the bill every month as comcast adds fees without telling you. my bill should be the same month after month

Comcast in Atlanta, Georgia - Cant Disconnect Service

I am trying to help my roommate disconnect an internet service in her name. She had to leave the country due to an emergency. She could not call to disconnect the service. She did write a letter, email and live chatted with an agent. They could not only offer a good solution, but they also gave conflicting solutions which made me go round in circles. They made me make several calls, many trips without any acceptable solution. They was no way we could make the customer service representative understand that a phone call from the account holder or appearing in person was not possible. She was perfectly willing to and did chat with the online agent, write to them, but to no avail. This was not their only transgression, they also saw fit to actually shout at me just because I asked for their services to be discontinued. This is the level of services and customer respect shown by their customer representatives to their customers. I hope that in the future comcast hires better customer care representatives.

Comcast in Atlanta, Georgia - Continual bad service despite 8 service visits

Have just scheduled our 9th service visit in 9 months. No improvement yet. Some visits they never show and never call to cancel, despite the service folks saying "they are in route" when I call to check. We replaced all the in-home wiring at comcast's suggestion (about $400) - that was not the issue. We have replaced modems, boosters, etc. no effect, comcast replaced the wire from the street to the house (they said it was full of water, eaten by squirrels, covered by vines, etc.) - no improvement. After months of service calls, we still can't predictably get email, view movies, etc. We pay, but they provide inadequate service. I spend 3-5 months/yr in the 3rd world - my internet service there is consistently better (and MUCH cheaper) than here in Atlanta. If there was reasonable competition, comcast could not persist as a company.

Comcast - Internet Service Review

We live in Wilmington, DE. Have had comcast service since 2010. 2 weeks ago our television screen shows : ref S0a00. It was a Wednesday afternoon. I got home around 3:30 pm. Called customer service- which is in either the Philippines or India- they tried to be nice from there "script" and fix my problem remotely. I was on the phone for 2 hours. Because it was after 1pm they could not send a "subcontracted" technician out until the next day. . Which is confusing since comcast advertises there vast army of trucks and there stellar customer service ? So the next day my wife leaves work early and loses pay to be at home for the appointment between 1pm and 4pm . The "subcontracted" technician never showed. .. So being a furious customer , my wife called comcast again ( it's a great system comcast has set up where no one is accountable ) , they told her the technician was there and she was not home ( funny how this progresses) ... And the lies keep coming and hours of frustration- " all of the technicians we busy with other appointments. ..there was a major power outage. ..he was there, but no one answered the phone ..yda..yda.." All the while the live chat promised me a months free of service for our troubles. . Day 3: finally a "subcontracted" technician showed up Friday morning about 11am, only to tell me it is not a problem in the household, but it is an outside line that needs to be addressed- and he cannot fix that - only a direct comcast technician can !!! Really ? It gets better- a direct comcast technician could not be out until the following Monday !!!! Because of this so called outside problem the tenants do not have to be home. Problem started weds, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning- 5 days with no service and no sympathy from comcast !!! When they showed Monday to fix the so called outside problem- they called my wife and said she had to be home ??? After a lot of fighting with various people at comcast they realized that we did not have to be home.? Comast is the worst company in America !! I say this because we as consumers pay top dollar for the worst service !! They are set up so that no one is accountable or responsible for fixing or handling problems. Today is 7/20/14 and guess what happened on this lovely Sunday afternoon- ref code S0a00. !!! If anyone has though or even started to start up a new cable, Internet and phone company with American employees and one on one accountable customer service - I am willing to pay twice as much for that service than what we are left with today !!!
