Comcast - Xfinity Home Phone Service Review from Norcross, Georgia

We moved in to our house on 10/26/13 Got xfinity at first. Then we saw our first bill for landline had a charge of over 400 dollars for one phone call to Asia on 10/23/13 Xfinity wanted us to pay the bill even after we proved that we weren't even in the house let alone the same state when the phone call was made. They have flagged our address and won't provide any service until we pay the bill for the call They know who the previous tenant is but Xfinity refuses to send them the bill So what's wrong with this picture? Can someone provide some assistance? One more thing they turned the charge over to collections under my name even though we weren't living in the house when the call was made.

Details
Xfinity/Comcast is by far THE WORST cable company in existence. This *** X1 box is always having some sort of issue and I would rather have my teeth extracted one at a time with rusty old pliers than deal with their customer service. They can never resolve anything but there is never an issue when it's time to draft my account for my monthly bill. I will be cancelling my services and will just buy an over-the-air antenna and watch local tv until I move out of Xfinity's service area. Everything about Xfinity is a joke and they should be shut the *** down! UGH!

I have been with Comcast for years and my bill always got higher even when new customers got to pay half the amount that I do. I moved to a new house and against the advice of others, I signed a new two year contract with Comcast at a new customer rate. The original guy that installed it didnt have time to update the wiring so I had to contact Comcast to come back out. In the meantime, I was contacted about signing up for the home security. After reading some bad reviews, I cancelled the appointment. The customer service agent did not cancel the appointment or take the charges off of my bill. They instead sent a VERY nice young man to install the system and not the wiring that I had spent two hours trying to get scheduled. I was then told by customer service that my bill would remain at the same price with the security system because they were unable to lock me into the great move in price that I was originally given. The customer service agent gave me a "what are you going to do" attitude since I was locked into a two year agreement. At this point, i had had enough. I had to tell what happened to 5 people and the last person I spoke with had such a bad attitude and she hung up on me. The hero in this story was our nice installer. He was able to contact his supervisor and get the billing issue resolved. I will still cancel my service at the end of the contract since Comcast no longer cares about loyal customers. It is sad that the only way that you can get a live person on the phone is to yell curse words to the phone robot. My apologies to the installer for my outburst. I am just fed up with *** customer service

After i upgraded my Service from Basic to X1 Starter, comcast asked me to get the new Cable box which i got and was communicated it will work as soon as i reach home. It has been 1 week, i have spend 1-2 hrs everyday to call only to hear appointment is for tomorrow which never comes. 4-5 Tickets created, Escalations done. Only thing they are prompt about is charging extra over 300GB limit promptly. I feel tired of dealing, calling them now. Need to see what to do next.

Comcast aint SHXT.! Excuse my language, but like everyone else is stating they lock you into these "agreements"which are really contracts and then they don't live up to what they advertise. My bills goes up every month, then when i call they blame it on all these different kinds of fees. Then while watching TV the box always has to be updated and if you don't it will update on its own and it takes FOREVER.!

It's odd that when you call to cancel and they say it's cancelled, it's not actually cancelled. I just got a letter in the mail from the so called executive customer relations. She tells the FCC that they do not deal with accounts that are passed due. My bill was not passed due in anyway before I called and cancelled. She also states that she had attempted to call me and email me numerous times only to get nothing in return. That's where the lie continues, the last call I recieved from comcast was about my wifi somehow mysteriously reaching their ridiculously low cap, in just 8 days. How? Especially when no one was around or home at the time to use the internet. But that call was back in November. The last email I had gotten was in December and I had answered that one. So, how do they justify this? By telling the FCC that my account was disconnected for non payment. So that's what you call canceling? Comcast is a corporation that needs to be taken down and disbanded for the lack of customer service, *** equipment, excessively raising bills, and for their "don't call it a cap" data cap.

Incorrect billing, refusing to credit mt accoubt until i pay incorrect amount. The most *** company i ever delt with. My community pays my badic cable my bill has hd..and my 1 yr locked in rate of internet went from 29.99 to 44.99 in 4 months. I been arguing since August and they agreed to correct the mistake but its a new yr .same ***, different day

I HATE HAVING COMCAST. I set up a payment to be paid on a certain date, i received the email of the agreement but on that date i choose my service was cut off 24 hrs later and the money is sitting in my bank. Called on line support only to have an agent give me a number that i called only to hear "you have called after business hours and please call back again". I'M PISSED

Comcast does not care about their customers!

I am so frustrated with Comcast. I had business service and had to close my business. When I called Comcast to cancel, I was informed that the early disconnect penalty would be over $1000.00 because I was in a three year contract. Small business fail very day... So why would Comcast require a 3 year contract with such a massive penalty? So I called back 9 times - put on hold for extremely long periods of time trying to get some options. I was given a business rep's name for the Dallas area and she hung up on me when I explained my situation. I called back and left three messages and she never called back. Finally, after paying the bill for 4 months with no service, a customer service rep advised me to transfer the business account to my residence... Which I had to add Internet and pay double the price... I agreed to do that. I still have to add cable separately because business service in your home does not uncle cable (another additional cost). I fan ally got the service installed (Internet and phone) after a missed appointment that I took off work for. Now that the phone is installed, I disconnected the residential phone. I have NO phone service throughout the home, only in one room. I called Comcast and was told that business service only works on one phone. What?!? Seriously?? Why would the rep suggest transferring service if I could only have service in one room? Why wasn't I informed of,that? Now I have no monitoring for my security system. Again, Comcast provided no options! I cannot believe this company survives with the way they treat their customers. As soon as this contract is up, I am canceling!

Comcast review in Augusta, Georgia: Overcharging for same plan

I've had Comcast for many years. There have been problems with slow internet, or not being able to view channels that I am paying for. These incidents were taken care of slowly but surely. The problem I'm having and have been for some months now. Comcast will increase your bill for no apparent reason. Even if you don't call in to get another package or change anything. An increase of $10 to $15 will be added to your bill and the customer reps that you talk to cant tell you why, so they tell you anything. I also pay for a service protection plan. Earlier this year I needed a tech to come out to fix something that should have been fixed when they installed it. I was told by the customer rep that I would not have to pay for that visit since I had the protection plan, which we agreed with. The next month a $90 fee was added to my bill. Needless to say, they would not give me a credit, just kept saying that the protection plan did not cover that visit. I don't know how they can get away with "stealing" the way they do and nothing is done about it.
