When you get a good person on the phone who cares, Comcast will take care of problems. When you get people on the phone who don't care, it's awful. Lately, I have gotten quite a few of those people who don't care and don't listen. Comcast was out here last week and accidentally took me and a neighbor off line. A guy in the local office said he would charge me $100 to come out to my home. He did not say if he finds out the problem was coming from inside my home rather than Comcast. He said it would cost $100 to come out. Finally, I got someone who cared. Someone came out that evening, 3 hours after the latest hour I was told that someone would be here.

I was a Comcast customer for several years. After Xfinity came about, my monthly bill just kept getting higher and higher. We talked to Customer Service several times about adjusting our package. We changed packages a couple of times but still we ended up with a $190.00+ monthly bill(that was without any premium channels). That is almost like a car payment! After talking to several more people at Comcast, we dropped them and picked up AT&TUverse. We get all of our basic channels plus Showtime for about $50.00 less per month.We also got a $300.00 switch over bonus. We gave Comcast plenty of time and instruction for our day to be disconnected. They messed it up and wanted to charge us another 1/2 month's service. We refused to pay, turned in our equipment and are done with them. Not missing you, Comcast Xfinity!

This is one of the worst companies that I have every worked with....period. So...it goes like this: When we bought our new house I was able to get a promotional discount on the internet for one year. Before this one year promotion was complete I called and renegotiated the service for only $3.00 more per month for an additional 12 months. Sounds pretty great, right?!?! WRONG! The next month I received a bill for $25 dollars more than I had been previously paying. WTF ..... So...I called them back and the promotional discount that I had applied for was now expired. Thus, I had to now choose another plan for my internet. This new plan was internet and cable for less than just internet (how this is possible, i don't know). So, I reconfirm with the lady over the phone 3 times that this is what I am getting with no hidden fees or monthly fees for a cable box. She assures me that the bill will now be $15 less than my latest bill and only $10 more than my 'just internet' bill. Okay...so I believe her. I wait 3 to 5 business days for the cable box to show up...and SURPRISE...it never shows. So....then I call back again a week later and get another agent on the phone. This agent puts me on hold for 18 minutes and then FINALLY tells me the tracking number for the package that is supposed to be coming to my house so that I can watch the cable TV channels that I cannot see currently on my television. I write down the tracking number and immediately know it is B.S. I am kind and end the call quickly so that I can vent.... UPS tracking numbers start with a '1Z' not a '10'. I then decide to wait a couple hours and call back later hoping that there has been a shift change in the Philippines. Success!! There have a new crew on! I go through the same scenario that has plagued me for 6 weeks now with my 'just clocked in' agent. She actually cancels the work order and my last bill, finds another 'better' deal for me, and at least gives me a order ID# so that I will have something to reference if I have any issues. How is my bill, you ask? Well...it is now $5 more per month than I was paying on the original 12 month introductory rate. Yes....cable for $5 more. This of course is temporary because I will have to negotiate again in 11 months to find out what other deals they have up their sleeve. This company is crazy, ridiculous, and outright disorganized. The moral of this complaint: Call back at least 4-6 weeks in advance to negotiate yourself a new contract rate with Comcast every 11 months. Your bound to get screwed over multiple times before they offer you a decent rate on the same service you already have. Don't trust what they say until you get someone you feel you can trust. I may take you several hangups before this happens. -Moral Mac

If you try to get out of your contract before 2 YEARS!! (How long they make you sign for), it is a 75% of remainder of contract termination fee. Find anything else! Use your phone for internet service if you have to. In my situation, I moved from the office with service to an executive suite that didn't need service ... there was no where to move my service. They would not let me out of the contract. I will never deal with them again.

Understand first that I am NOT an agent of Comcast or xfinity or any related company AND I am not receiving anything for this review. So let's start with last summer...I ordered Comcast cable because I had a well known DSL based service (with the blinding speed of 18 MBps-at least claimed--which I never saw using speed test) and minimal TV programming [NOTE: Name of prior service was withheld based on the caution in the User Agreement on this posting page]. The Comcast installer showed up while my wife and I were in the back yard but left before I could catch him. It ticked me off because he would not come back. I was going to have to reschedule. Not Happy so I told them to forget it--cancel me. Finally two weeks ago I had enough of waiting on my computer and dropping internet signals especially when my wife was on her Kindle and the TV was blaring [prior service charge was $169 per month]. Now I have Extreme 150 MBps internet (typically 125 MBps at remote location using my router and extender for the same price. I also have Digital Preferred TV with HD...oh yes, I forgot to mention "the company that will not be named" had dropped my HD inadvertently when I downgraded last spring because I was paying $210 per month. Customer Service for "that company" would not reconnect my HD service unless I told the representative my SSN over the phone--REALLY. Now I have Real Internet and TV programming for the same monthly payment for two years. Will see how I feel after that and rates go up. The young man (Cortez) who installed was great, amicable, efficient--not the standard 2-4 hours to hook you up. I had to call Customer Service yesterday because the web page indicated my account was inactive AND I knew my first bill was coming due in a few weeks. Chris was AWESOME. He straightened me out--I was attempting to access the account set up last summer. He explained several other things to me patiently and respectfully. Very enjoyable experience AND not at all what I expected based on some of these reviews. I am just saying, they may be turning around, so give them a chance. This 64 year old is--and when my grandkids come over, they will say "This is Cool Beans, Grandpa." LOL

I signed up for 50 Mb download's per month. I don't get that speed. Sometimes it's so slow it is as bad as dial up. I want competition. They have monopolized this for far too long. I have Google coming to my area and I cannot wait. Every time I call they state that it's in my system. Yet, all my neighbors complain about the same thing. They have given up and gone with AT&T. But, since Google is coming this summer I will go with them. D monopolize this ridiculous company that steals money.

They suck, they have replaced the box, cables, splitters inside and out to the pole. It got worse, the last guy said the wire at the pole was damaged and needs to be replaced. That was 38 days ago. Now they added HD function for $9.95 a month on my service back billed me for two month and never gave me a DVR set HD box. This kind of *** has been going on for 5yr. It's the new TV not the service the first guy said.Really

This is derek. I ha e internet with comcast for 8 years and wanted to bundle my TV and Internet with in February of 2016. They first missed there schedule day to come out and install a filter on my lines. Then they was going to charge me $50 for a tech to come out and hook up the cable boxes. I said no because i should be able to hook them up my self. Will the dvdr was the first box i hooked up and called them to activate it and as soon as i did the box was giving me an error right a way. Long story short i spent 4 hours talking to a about 5 people about the problem and was given missed information and lied to about a tech calling me back within an hour. Each person was very rude and did not want to listen to me about was going. They aas going to waive the fees because of the problems i was but i would have to wait 4 days before someone comes and if they do. At this point i don't trust them anymore. You would think being with them for 8 years they would do all they can to keep a customer but they don't care. I asked them to make me an offer to stay and all they could do is take $50 off my bill for one month and give me a free premium channel for three months really. Really is that the best they can do?! So I'm ditching comcast in going to AT&T U verse Internet as of February 2016.
