Comcast in Naples, Florida - STEALING FROM CONSUMERS

I would rather have a root canal than call Comcast, it is the worst customer service experience imaginable....you always are on hold for 30 minutes, get routed three or more times before someone can assist you, then either get disconnected and have to start over or don't get your problem solved. I tried to order Comcast TV and after 14 days of waiting for a technician to show up with the right equipment and more than 28 phone calls, I finally cancelled it and ordered Dish TV-the Dish TV was installed within 8 hours of my call, with no problems. Unfortunately if you want high speed internet in my area you are forced to use them. so I signed up for Internet only to find out later that my bills were padded with unauthorized charges, such as phone service. I don't need or want phone service and told them so on a number of calls. After I made two or three different calls to correct this, it still showed up on my bill. So when I called today, I was told they would not credit me back for past months, only prorate moving forward. I told them that they are stealing from me. I will now have to dispute my Visa and contact their legal department. They have about $300 of excess charges. I just can not comprehend how a company this bad continues to stay in business. I can not wait until Summit Broadband expands into our neighborhood. I will be the first in line to make the change and may even decide to suffer with slow Internet alternatives until then.....anything to avoid dealing with Comcast! It is a joke.

Comcast money grab

I obtained a contract online for tv and internet for the amount of 79.99 +1.99 for second tv adapter + 7.00 for modem + 15.00 for install of both I thought at the time. Free HBO and Free streaming for a month........ Then I get an e mail from comcast for a bill for around 125.00 to obtain a cable box.........put on my credit card and then after rebates are supplied I would end up paying 15.00 for delivery. When I received this outrageous offer I called the comcast office in my area. She said no I didn't have to order a cable box they would bring it. She also said the instal fee for both get that now for both the tv and internet would be 25.00. Didn't like that but well next time I will pick up what I want and do it myself.....she said the technicians would bring a cable box. I live in Fort Myers florida so two techs arrived from Georgia, yes Georgia. Instead of hiring here in florida they bring people down from Georgia. I had purchased a modem - a comcast modem - from Office depot thinking i would avoid the 7.00 monthly cost of renting one. Well when the installers came from Georgia who constantly talked about going home right after they left my house; finished installing my tv and internet (which took about 15 min) I asked how i could set up my android because i needed it since i have an extremly bad back (awaiting my second surgery) and i can not sit at the computer. One fellow said you don't have wi fi oh I said i told comcast that i would need wi fi because of my back. Thats when they told me that the modem I purchased does not support wi fi. I then asked them to bring in the one they brought and they refused saying they were leaving for Georgia right now. That is the customer support supplied by comcast, there are no improvements. I called comcast and explained to them what happened and they said they would send out another cable box to be installed by a tech. Yup he came and spent 10 min pulling out 2 cables inserting 2 cables and said thats it you are in business. A week later I rec'd a bill for over 90.00 for this 10 min visit. I called comcast to say i already spent to have it installed they said too bad and the first person i talked to hung up on me because she would not stop repeating the same thing over and over and over again, like i am an ***. I finally got upset and said would you stop talking so i can say something, she hung up on me. Great customer service. I called the second time and same thing she just kept going over and over and over the same thing so this time i waited the 2 mins while until she shut up and said are you finished can i say something. Yes, she replied. So i explained everything for the 3 time. She went put me on hold while she probably took a text on her phone came back on and said there is nothing she can do. I said ok i just won't pay it and I won't. Last year I had to contact vice president, by letter at the corporate offices and sent 18 pages of notes that i wrote down each time i had to call comcast about problems i was having, most times no cable, or pixelling, loosing chanels etc. Finally a lady from comcast called me and it took another month to finally fix the problem. The cable box wasn't working properly. 5 techs came to my house and finally someone looked at the cable box, after telling me each time it was the wiring in my house that was causing the problem. I paid 240.00 to have that fixed didn't make any difference. So because of where I live I am only able to use comcast I am waiting for century link to connect us as that is where i will be going, never to use comcast again. In fact i am considering cancelling comcast and using my computer to watch movies etc.........

Comcast's Customer Service Is The Worst !

All I signed up for is internet. I've had internet with Comcast for two years. 3 months ago my service has been horrible, I can't barely use internet in my house. I have replaced my cable modem 3 times, my wireless router also 3 times, all cables in the house have been replaced, Comcast has replaced the cable from the street to my house already. Service is the same, very intermittent and sometimes I can't even browse any site. Comcast said back in January they would be crediting my account. Two months later, I am calling at least once a day and all representatives tell me is that they will be doing the credit shortly. Comcast is definitely a joke !
