Comcast - Intentionally Preventing Phone Service

I work from home and have an office VOIP phone connected to my modem. I have to use the work phone as it is linked into the office. After a discussion with Comcast regarding a 2nd modem, they learned of my phone connection. Now my phone won't work. Worked fine up until Comcast made changes on their end. The phone company can see the equipment, but no longer communicate with it. It shows up in the modem as a connected device and Netgear says there is no problem on their end. I have asked Comcast to just change the settings back and was told by one rep they had (still no phone). They continue to tell me that the 'internet' is fine so the 'phone' issue is not their problem. Bottom line they obviously don't like third party equipment and they intentionally changed the settings to prevent my use of VOIP work phone.

Comcast - Terrible Product, Terrible Service

Internet access down for days. Given appointment for four days out from call, which I requested to be escalated due to working from home necessity. Given one a day earlier (three days out from call) and then given one for even a day earlier (two days out from call). Called to confirm appointment THE DAY OF and was told that my appt was rejected by dispatch and rescheduled for the NEXT DAY. NO ONE CALLED TO TELL ME, which just makes this worse. I am furious. I am disgusted. And, to top it all off, getting someone on the phone who actually speaks English is like pulling teeth. If we had an option in the area other than this awful product, you can bet we'd jump ship! How do they get away with this type of service and response time????

Comcast - WORST BUSINESS IN THE HISTORY OF COMPANIES

I have had the most shocking experience with Comcast. I have never, in my entire life, experience a company that is so completely horrible. We have recently moved and it took over two weeks from our original appointment date for Comcast to come out to run wires to connect our Internet. We originally had an appointment for our house to get wired on the 2nd, since we moved into a home that we recently purchased and completely renovated. Our home was owned by someone who had Comcast previously, went through foreclosure and had an outstanding debt with them. COMCAST came to the home prior to us owning it, and cut the wires to the house. They put a block on our house so it was especially difficult for us to get them to honor their appointment. They didn't come out on the 2nd, they then said the 9th. They didn't come out on the 9th, and when we called them back they said they couldn't get there until the 16th. But they they said that they could get someone out there on the 13th. Someone came out on the 13th and said they couldn't do anything, because our wires had been cut BY COMCAST and he couldn't do a full rewire. So we had to wait unit the 16th, when we were originally told on the 2nd. We run a small business from home and lost over two weeks of business due to not having internet at our home. We spoke with so many representatives from the call centers, to the Xfinity store, to corporate representatives, to CANDICE from the Jacksonville, FL office, Candice was absolutely horrible and offensive. We had to wait over a week and a half for her to return our calls. Every time we contacted the corporate center, they told us we had to speak with her and no one else could help us....well guess what? Candice couldn't help us either!! Either Jacksonville has an terrible terrible terrible branch of Comcast and they don't know how to actually help customers, or Candice is the absolute worst employee of Comcast and its a shock how she ever got promoted into a regional rep position. She was so condescending, blamed US for not being internet installation experts and said Comcast did everything right and it was our fault. SERIOUSLY! It obviously wasn't our fault, but even it if was WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE would tell a customer that and act completely rude and disrespectful. I have never gotten so upset talking to a customer service representative. I feel that Comcast is a heartless monopoly who hires worthless people who are brainwashed by a *** paycheck. I cannot believe that they are the only provider in my area that has the internet speed we need. I honestly feel completely disrespected as a person, customer and human being with how they have acted. I have a very similar job as Candice-and I would NEVER respond to customers the way she did. I hate Comcast, and I don't recommend them to anyone...not even my worse enemy.

If there internet service would actually work all the time. I would be so happy with the service. But after sending technicians countless amount of times to my house my internet service still disconnects 5 to ten times a day this is really getting old

A nightmare of an experience with Comcast

Arrived in our Sarasota condo to find out our cable box wasn't working. A service technician named Rex told us a service person would be out the next day to take care of it. Instead of next day Rex scheduled the call a week later. We took the box to the Sarasota showroom. A representative named Bill was pleasant and gave us a new box out of the package. He explained that Comcast stops power to boxes that are unplugged. When we got home the new box didn't work. Alan came out did not have same box but left a none really box. Now we can't exchange this box with one with a dvr. This is the worst company ever and I've seen some bad ones. We will try to return this box soon. Will write about this experience later

Comcast Where the customer is always wrong

I've been having consistent issues for over 6 months now with the comcast business modem rebooting multiple ties each day. Techs have been out a number of times and always say something different, yet the issue has not been resolved. I've asked that thim modem be changed out and the last tech said "I just put that one in 6 months ago" The tech before him said "It must be your network, you need to take everything off the modem and see if it reboots. I told him my business is 24/7, if I need to bring in another internet line from another provider to prove that this is a comcast issue what do I need comcast for? His reply was "I won't take it personally if you close you account". In short I have brought in another internet line and have moved pieces of my network over to it with no issues with the new line. Everytime I move parts of my network I have to go throught DNS Changes and business interruptions. Is this the way Comcast wants to run their business, it appears that the attitude is "The customer is always wrong".

Comcast - Late night low connectivity amounts to theft

Comcast is stealing money from customers by reducing their am connectivity to laughable levels. Sure it works. But at night it's slower than my old dailup, and we pay for the best they have. Is this just a symptom of a lack of authoritative government supervision? Perhaps. 100 words is a little more than necessary to say the least. One has to consider the purpose I guess; which is to reduce complaints and thus scrutiny perhaps. Not perhaps. No one will read this anyway. Hope you enjoy my little adventure into futility. I wrote what was wrong already; comcast or xfinity is stealing money charging for 24 hour 10MB service but not providing it. Laugh at me. Go ahead. but laugh because you know this country has hit rock bottom where everything we were afraid would happen under fascism and then communism has now happened under capitalism. Laugh at me. If not for complaining then for thinking I have any rights in this lessaize faire world.

Comcast - Internet Service Review from Miami, Florida

So I called Comcast about my latest bill for a new package. We were only supposed to go up by $5.00. But went up by $14.00. When I spoke the the rep, I was ready to. An el service and told them about there offer I saw on line. $49.99 for Internet with blast up to 75mbps, which they looked at confirmed my info. Email etc. and offered to then sign me up for that package and cancel the pre-existing. They then proceeded to state all info would be updated on my account and I would receive the email confirmation. They asked if I had any further questions which I then asked about the equipment return. They stated I could return to a service center, ups store, or return via mail/ups. I then proceeded to the service center, where everything went down hill. Service center rep was some young punk who gave me attitude, which lead to me requesting a supervisor, who then had to state he wasn't a supervisor just to help his ego, but that he was the manager. Well he really didn't manage was he did not resolve the situation. They stated I could not return the equipment if my account had not been updated and video removed, this then lead to another call to Comcast, which then really fired things up. They stated my account had not been updated. Which then I requested to speak to someone else higher up, all were busy, imagine that. Info was taken for a call back which more than 3 hrs later still has not occurred. In the end this will lead to canceled service and moving on to a company that can provide excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE, along with reliable service. The companies that when in the end are those that can take care of their customers and treat them with respect not take them for a ride.
