Comcast will not issue credit on my account

On 08/06/13 right after paying next month's Broadband Bill we decided to cancel the service. Comcast quickly showed a correct credit balance of $31.64 due us for the cancelled days. Unfortunately it is impossible to get Comcast to issue the credit even though we receive no other bills from Comcast. I have called countless times, gone on their chat line, etc, all to no avail. What can be done to get this unethical company to pay what they owe! If anyone can get this unethical company to issue this credit it will be appreciated. Please help! I refuse to call them again and talk to someone who reads from a script and understands English poorly.

Just entered all of my personal information after they confirmed service was available. Entered personal information then transferred to an analyst.

He said service wasn't available and sorry for inconvenience. I said I need all of my personal information deleted!! He ended the chat!!

Will never!!!d I mean ever!! do business with this company...will pay more elsewhere if I have to!

Comcast in Jacksonville, Florida - Worst Customer Service on the Planet

I knew Comcast was the worst company in the world when I signed up, but AT&T has not run fiber to my neighborhood yet, and they are the only competition in Memphis. They butchered the install process, but all worked well for a couple years. Then, a month ago, inexplicably, my Internet access dropped EVERY TIME IT RAINED. It would be out for hours. The useless *** at the level one help desk in Singapore or the Philippines, were, as usual, useless and annoying, when you could get through, when you weren't getting disconnected after getting in. An onsite tech told me I had "low signal" and someone else would have to go up the pole to fix it. Someone else came, went up the pole, but it wasn't fixed. Comcast *** up and didn't show up for appointments to run new cable to my house not once but TWICE. After the second no-show, I fired them, but every waterhead you talk to wastes precious minutes of your life with their annoying retention efforts. I had to yell at everyone I was connected with in order to get them to shut up and cancel my service. Comcast is the WORST company in the world, period, end of story. They suck this bad because they know they can.

U-verse was horrible, but it was perfect compared to Comcast Xfinity.It's hard to know where to start, but the condensed version includes customer service people who outright lie, DVR receivers that break after a few weeks and more. In our first seven months with Xfinity, we are on our fourth HD DVR receiver, or we will be if Comcast ever get us a new one.

More than a week ago, we were promised by one customer service rep that a replacement would be here in 3-5 days. When it did not show up, we called to ask where it was. The CS rep who answered yesterday apologized -- the one thing Comcast reps can actually do -- but explained that the replacement DVR had never been ordered. We were waiting on something that would never arrive and had we not called, we would not have known.

The rep said he would get one overnighted to us to arrive on Thursday. We even spoke to a customer service supervisor who confirmed the express delivery was in the works. As Thursday is winding down, I called Comcast again to see where our overnight shipment was. Once again, it was never ordered.

At Comcast, customer service is non-existent because the company is staffed with incompetent ***. Not only are they incompetent; they are, for the most part, bold-faced liars. Comcast will tell you whatever they think you want to hear.

The person who posted that Comcast has the worst customer service of any company in the world was close. Actually, Comcast isn't the worst, but if it improves a bit it can be.

Comcast, the worst customer service ever

August 5, 2013 In May 2013 I contacted Comcast to inform we were moving to a new address and I wanted to stop service at the old address and start it at the new address. 1 They cut my service off 1 week ahead of schedule 2 To fix that problem they created a new account after calling and getting transferred twice 3 We scheduled a service technician to install our TV and Internet at the new address, Comcast customer service advised the technician would call 1/2 hour before arrival. He showed up at my house then called me and said he don't know nothin' about what the customer service rep said about calling me 4 The technician, who was on loan from Georgia (We are in Florida) showed up with Non HD equipment saying that non HD was the only equipment they had right now. He told me to call customer service to get HD boxes. 5 More calls and waiting for up to 25 minutes I got Comcast to schedule another technician to come with the right equipment and install it. It worked for 24 hours and then because the tech did not activate the box it failed. It another long phone call to get it fixed. 6 A collections agency started calling me at work and sending collection notices stating that Comcast had turned my account over to collections (Comcast stated I had a $271.00 credit due) 7 I contacted Comcast and spoke to an Arian who said to fax proof that I had turned in all Comcast equipment, luckily I made the tech sign for everything 8 I called Comcast just to be sure my account was OK and was assured it was 9 I got another collection letter today for $513.18 for equipment I turned in to Comcast on 5/14/13. 10 I recorded the amount of phone time with this ordeal and it adds up to just under 4 hours! Add the technician visits and it totals 6. 11 When I called Comcast the customer service rep refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and hung up on me.

I totally feel for you. I found it impossible to even get through to them to disconnect my service.

Finally after 2.5 hrs and multiple phone calls, transfers and waiting someone finally said they were disconnecting it. However two days later, it's still connected and we're still being billed.

Comcast in Lehigh Acres, Florida - NOT TRUSTWORTHY! WE WERE SCAMMED

Well it is now almost end of August & nothing has been accomplished with Comcast, the more we complain, the more our rates seem to go up! No kidding!

Our bill was always 149.57 - then jumped to $197.00 for equipment we don't have, not taken off bill as promised, now I learn we have not had Internet service for almost 3 weeks, I am out of town & my husband has been away on business & we have no Internet service, but get this Our Bill is now a whopping $500.00!!!!!! When I call they tell me I have to be home, I don't have to be home to discuss a billing issue, my husband has cld numerous times & gets placed on hold for an hr to hr & 1/2, still have not got Internet at home, or any of our issues fixed! The more you complain to Comcast, they raise your bill!!! There is Absolutely No Way our bill can be $500.!!

In 2 weeks I am making trip into office with all our bills, all the charges they have on there for services & equipment we don't have, all our bank statements of payments we have made & they will either FIX our billing ISSUE & get our Internet back & our phone service resolved or we are contacting a Lawyer!! We have given Comcast ample time to resolve issues with us & make things right, but this company is a down right Fraud!!!

We were guaranteed our same phone # if we bundled our service with Comcast and got their Voice, we said we would do this only if we could keep our same phone # as we have had it for over 20 yrs, we were GUARANTEED again, so we did this, Tech arrives gives us a different #,We told him No that's not our #, he called office they said Century Link has not released the number yet, wait a few days or You call them! Tech could not get out of our house fast enough after speaking to the office, he didn't even advise us on how to use the Voice system. Its not our job to call Century Link, that's Comcast & should of been taken care of before any install was made. We call Comcast back, was told, you never filled out proper papers to have # ported, you have to fill out the papers, No One ever told us about any papers, then we are told, Your Number cannot be ported anyway, sorry but we cant do anything for you! We were lied to and scammed about this so a sale could be made. No one from Comcast has rectified this situation nor do they have any intent on doing so, they say they cant help. DO Not Believe anything Comcast tells you or guarantees you, they do not and will not live up to any offers or guarantees they give you. Now come to find out, we have 2 home phone numbers, our old number rings and asks you to leave a message with our answering machine, only we cant retrieve messages, it is still registered to us, Comcast did not do a Thing. They did not follow thru with having number ported, contacting Century Link, they did nothing but scam us and take our monies! BEWARE

It is ABSOLUTELY your job to call Century Link. That's YOUR account, not Comcast's.

Comcast can't tell Century Link to move your services any more than your disgruntled ex-spouse, hormone riddled teenager or annoyed neighbor.

It is your personal responsibility to liaison and oversee this transfer, with all appropriate documentation in order on the part of all parties.

We were contacted by Corporate office, she told me to explain everything we were told, so I told her & she couldn't believe what she was hearing & told me we were indeed lied to, that our number could be ported & she would contact a company called NASR as if anyone can port a number they can & will, she told us Do not disconnect from Century Link yet & she would get back with us in a few days, well its been over 2 weeks & no word from her & NASR, or Comcast again!! So here we are paying for 2 phones lines!

Then I happen to check our Comcast bill & we are being billed for equipment we don't have, so I contact Comcast they told me well you picked up 2 Dvr receivers 2weeks ago, I said No we didn't, a lady cld me & said we will adjust your bill but it will take 2 billing cycles, we still have to pay for this equipment they put on our acct or will disconnect our Service even though we did not have their equipment, Comcast is sneaky & NO GOOD, & we are Done with their lies & sneaky billing. My advice to anyone thinking of getting Comcast - DON'T, you will be VERY SORRY!

They have got to be the worst Business around. JUST BEWARE!!

Typical of this company. They dug up my yard.

Prior to that they ran a temporary cable in my back yard and left it that way for 1yr, must have cut it 12 times with the lawn mower. What made them bury the cable I ran into the techs in my back yard and asked them what they were doing, they said they were repairing the line, I asked you didn't even knock on the door and ask permission to come through the yard, the funny thing was they said they can do what ever they want comcast owns this area of the property. I said really they said yes. I said okay get off my property :( , they said they will call the police, I said do that.

They never did, so i said i will do them a favor and call the police. which i did, the police arrived and i told them what the issue was. They enforced not allowing comcast on the property. That ended with the cable crew supervisor stating he will have the cable buried.

They sent out a crew with a backhoe whom promised to fix everything back the way it was... lies lies lies. It been 3 months with rocks dirt and weeds no sod.

I've been on the phone with them more than 6 hours during the evening to get them to fix it. They are truthfully the worst company

Comcast cable co.-----RIP-OFF

I tried to get internet service from Comcast cable co. 1st. person I talked to could not get their router to load to activate internet service.. She said their support tech. is $5.95 for new one time only service.,2nd.person on the phone said No the fee is $14.95+ a monthly fee of ????,3rd. person on the phone said NO WAY our support tech. are highly trained and we charge $38.95+ a $29.95 monthly fee.. This all took 180mins. on my cell phone, by this time I'm so upset I told them THE *** with this.. Who is running this company? We are on a fixed income for seniors, living in a senior apt. build. and they advantage of seniors like this because they know they can get away with it...(This is the only form I found to file this complaint) Comcast should be fined for lousy service, and jacking up service at will

Comcast Call Center in Panama is a Disaster

Comcast Call Center in Panama is a disaster. Filed service request on past Saturday. Technician supposed to show up Tues afternoon. Did not show. Called Comcast Service and they said they had no record of original service call. Rescheduled apt but they refused to give me a Confirmation #. Said it was in their system. I mentioned that they already missed one appt. Asked to speak to supervisor. Attendant refused. Told her I was going to contact State of Florida and another person came on phone. Said hold on and then hung up on me. The call center is in Panama City, Panama. Unbelievably poor service from the Comcast Call Center in Panama.

Comcast's Customer Service Is The Worst !

All I signed up for is internet. I've had internet with Comcast for two years. 3 months ago my service has been horrible, I can't barely use internet in my house. I have replaced my cable modem 3 times, my wireless router also 3 times, all cables in the house have been replaced, Comcast has replaced the cable from the street to my house already. Service is the same, very intermittent and sometimes I can't even browse any site. Comcast said back in January they would be crediting my account. Two months later, I am calling at least once a day and all representatives tell me is that they will be doing the credit shortly. Comcast is definitely a joke !

I hate Comcast

I had Comcast internet service for 1 month before i moved to my new place and requested the service to be installed in my new place. I add cable to it as well. I called on Feb.28 and next day I received the cable boxes but i had no conection for the cable nor internet. I called Comcast and the next available visit they had would be for Thursday march 7th. The technitian came to my bulding, called me from his cell phone asking what kind of service I requested, I explained it was for internet and cable and he aswered me: My paper work shows troubleshooting for internet, so I cannot help you. He hung up the phone and I tryed to reach him back without success. I called Comcast and explained all that and they didn't really cared. They scheduled another visit for Sunday March 10th. For my surprise, a technitian arrived saying that the requested he had was just to conect internet, he showed me his paper work and indeed it didn't say anything about cable. Really??? I was more than pissed! I called Comcast AGAIN and explained the situation, they apologized saying that a technitian would come to my house today, march 14th to install the cable. I dont even have to finish the sentence, tright? Of course, NOBODY showed up! I called Comcast AGAIN and i had another nice surprise: I had no visit scheduled!!! They never scheduled a visit for a technitian to come and stall my cable. After being 48 minutes on the ohone with Comcast (note that Im at work, i cannot be on the phone, im in risk of getting called off) they scheduled another visit for next Tuesday March 19th. Now lrts wait and see... if nobody comes again, then I'll cancel this S%^&$@ service and I'll sue Comcast. I have all the calls recorded. I'm just waiting to see my bill... im wondering if they will have the guts to charge me for a service they never provided! Im very disapointed with Comcast, very very very much!

They are the worst! Their customer service tech hung up the phone on me cause I requested to speak with a supervisor to help me with the sudden interruption of Internet for no reason! I am switching to Verizon today.

Comcast customer service sucks

Call at 7 cable out. Tell you they will send signal but wait a hour before you call back (BS!) Call at 8 told high volume of calls and disconnects you. Call at 8:30 on hold again forever then says transfering you to a agent rings then disconnects which happens twice. Now it is 9:00 and finally after holding 15 minutes I am told need a new box go pick it up myself or wait till Saturday at 5PM to get a service person. With a 11 year old and elderly mother who is home all day that is what I want to do wait till Saturday. Ask to speak to a supervisor as I have been a customer for 9 years you would think they could do better. Oh yeah did I mention after holding another 10 minutes for a Supervisor I was disconnected. Comcast customer service sucks and gets a big fat F for service. Glad I didn't switch my internet over to them1

RECENT COMMUNICATION WITH COMCAST

I originally contacted your service on September 27, 2012

I moved to a new residence in XXXXX on September 1, 2013

I placed a disconnect/reconnect order, scheduled for September 3rd, 2013. I was told to bring my "triple play" hardware with me, as all that is required is a quick reconnect.

What was supposed to be a 10 minute exercise ended up taking two hours.

The result:

A "new" converter was installed, done at the discretion of the installer This deviated from my understanding about what was to occur.

The old equipment was left behind......... I started getting dunning calls about the equipment.

The telephone service installation service was never completed (still no phone service, on September 30th)

On September 10, On demand and DVR service became unavailable. We called, stayed on hold and was told that the Xfinity platform had crashed but was "coming back up" Press the green button for 10 seconds and it should work"

On September 14, None of the events I had setup for recording actually recorded. We called, stayed on hold and was told that the Xfinity platform had crashed but was' coming back up" Press the green button for 10 seconds and it should work" Are they reading from a script?

On September 19, again none of the events I had setup for recording actually recorded. I called, stayed on hold (for TWO HOURS) and was told that the Xfinity platform had crashed but was' coming back up" Press the green button for 10 seconds and it should work". IT DID NOT

On September 21, same thing, (no recording or playback, a two hour thirty minute hold time)

Calls to your billing group have been useless, no satisfaction.

For the $2900 or so I have paid you over the last 12 months, something has to change.

I need a -phone call, from the regional manager of the Massachusetts region.

I want the installation cost completely refunded to me.

I want a conveniently scheduled time for a Comcast employee (not a sub) to come to my home and complete the installation.

Unless I hear from the regional manager mentioned above, by phone, no later than Wednesday, October 2nd., i will make other arrangements and buy my service from one of your competitors.

I'm at the end of my patience and am hoping someone within your organization cared enough about my business to react to my request.

Comcast in West Palm Beach, Florida - Worst customer service ever

In brief: -I bought a modem that was included in a list provided by Comcast with approved modems. Result: That modem was not the right one, technician end up installing one from them and I had to pay the monthly fee -One day after the internet was connected it stop working -Report made by phone and an appointment was agree in 5 days. Technician never show up, what is worst, when I call it was as if I have never made any appointment at all. - I want to cancel the service and get my money back. Here I am in a rolling coster. More or less 10 phone calls with a waiting time of 15 minutes each with no results. Each time you call is like starting again. -After much effort I was promise a total refund and a confirmation email -The check never arrive, neither the confirmation email. I am very tired and frustrated. I stop. -Two months later instead of a check I got a BILL, yes a bill. For 50 bucks!! in addition of what I already payed they want extra 50? Its crazy, really crazy. -I call and they gave me a deal, I don't have to pay the extra 50, Ohh! thank you Comcast, and they don't give me my initial payment back !! Ohh so generous: Thank you COMCAST!! My advise: Look who is giving media service for years, look in the streets and see what company are the vans you see. There is only one service that is worth your money and is not Comcast. Good Luck.
