Comcast in Port Saint Lucie, Florida - THE WORST COMPANY ON THIS PLANET

Comcast cable is BY FAR the worst company I have ever done business with in over 40 years, I will explain why.. PROBLEM 1 I signed up for Comcast cable about 2 months ago. I asked a few specific questions, the first one being " IS ON DEMAND FREE" the answered YES.. If you call sales and ask that question today.. they will answer YES TODAY.. When I went to access " The Blacklist" which is on a free network. I could NOT access anything other than the current season.. This was WEEK ONE of the second season.. so I wanted to catch up with season 1.. I have TO PAY FOR THAT!!!. NOW my thinking ITS EITHER FREE OR ITS NOT!!! IF you call sales today and ask " is on demand free " They will say yes.. IT IS NOT FREE IT IS A LIE!!! The SHOULD say ONLY CURRENT SEASONS ARE FREE.. so for example if its week one of season 2.. YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!!! This is PROBLEM 1 of MANY with Comcast Cable.. PROBLEM 2.. I asked if National GEO channel was included in my UPGRADED PACKAGE that I purchased.. they said it was.. after 30 days I couldn't access NAT GEO .. I called and they said it was included BUT ONLY FOR 30 DAYS.. I ASKED IF IT WAS INCLUDED!!! THEY SAID YES!! they NEVER SAID for only 30 days!!! THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE!!! PROBLEM 3 I paid $50 for installation . I agreed to pay $50 for installation.. when I received my bill it said $ 50 for installation AND AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR A technician VISIT... so they charge you for an technician and a ADDITIONAL FEE for a tech visit.. UNLESS they have robots it should be ONE FEE.. THIS IS A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! HOW can you charge an installation fee and the charge an ADDITIONAL FEE for a technician visit!!! IT IS INCLUDED!!! PROBLEM 4.. The hold time are in excess of 45 minutes most times!! AND after holding for 45 minutes you are usually ticked off.. if you get upset on the phone .. THEY JUST HANG UP ON YOU!!!! I read this in the reviews on GOOGLE REVIEWS so I know I am NOT they only person this has happened to.. PLUS it has happened MORE THAN ONCE to me.. PROBLEM 5 There NEW X1 box is supposed to be the TOP OF THE LINE BOX.. I had 3 that were defective, I have several pictures on my phone of the problems.. this box NEEDS TO BE RESTARTED AT LEAST 2 times a day, PLEASE see google reviews.. It freezes up ALL THE TIME.. you cant change the channel without restarting WHICH TAKES ABOUT 10 minutes.. THATS NOT FUN in the 4th Quarter when you are watching your favorite team.. I have had many more problems with COMCAST cable but we can start with the top 5.. LETS see what they will do to resolve these.. I URGE YOU TO CHECK the reviews on the Internet .. MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS!!! THIS COMPANY JUST DOESN'T CARE.. They are in my opinion THE WORST COMPANY ON THIS PLANET !!

Worst technicians ever. Have called comcast 4 times to get my lagging Internet service fixed. All the technician that have come to fix the problem say"its to big we have to come back. We have to rewire everything its an all day job. " never to be seen again.on my 5 technician for this friday at 8. Bitched at eveybody from Kentucky to the Phillipines.Will cancel them if they dont repair it right.

Comcast came to connect my new neighbors cable & in the process disconnected mine. I have no cable or internet. I call them and get transferred SIX times then they tell me they can send someone out a week from Monday! Comcast has the WORST customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. They just don't care. BTW I'm using my cellphone data to write this review because I HAVE NO INTERNET!

Comcast in West Palm Beach, Florida - Info pent repair service

I have internet speed issues and have had 5 service visits from inside subcontractors who all told me that I need an outside comcast line tech to install an optical cable from the street box to my house and every time I make an apointment - they send the wrong people who CAN NOT do the job. I have even had two escalated tickets set up by managers ans still the wrong people show up. The last person ran another wrong outside cable which is still running across my lawn. I need the repair done correctly and only an outside optical cable will work. They keep telling me this but they csn not get it together.

I have been experiencing similar issues in Palm Beach Gardens for the past two weeks. I am now switching to AT&T.

I understand that they are busy, but they are absolutely incompetent and what's worse, they don't care and make misrepresentations. The first technician told me it was an area-wide outage and that I had a high signal strength, which was good. Absolutely untrue. The new modem that Comcast recommended that I had to get operates at -5 to +5 and the signal was 7-8.

Motorola, the modem company, told me Comcast needed to lower the signal strength. I related that and another tech came out and verified that the strength at 8 was outside Comcast's own parameters, but he needed a maintenance tech to fix the amplifier at the curb. Sounds like the other guy's story.

This was an off the shelf modem from Best Buy - it's not lke I built it from scratch or anything. If Comcast knows that all these modems it recommends operate at -5 to +5, why do they set the power of their signal to anything outside that!??

I got the second tech's cell #, but he would not tell me his full name and he never answers or returns calls.

He promised to get the right tech out there and to call me to verify it was done. That was a week ago! In the meantime someone did come, but it was raining, but they didn't come back. I called twice daily at least to get someone back and the reps confirmed a "maintenance" tech was coming to fix THEIR equipment outside.

Yet another inside tech without a clue shows up and again promises to put in the order for the maintanence tech and does so in front of my wife on his cell. Again, no one shows up. Then the reps say only the inside tech can dispatch the maintanence tech and they can't, but no such order apears on the account.

I call back, get someone else and they say they have dispatched a maintenance tech.

Today the rep said he'd transfer me to the dispatch, put me on hold, then hung up. Ever notice these people refuse to give you anything but a first name and it's always a common name like Joe or Rosie? I love how the repeat everything you say to them and appologize for the inconvenience, like they actually care or are trying to solve anything.

These phone reps tell me they are notating my account with all the information, but when I call back the next day, the rep has no knowledge and no notes of any kind. That means the first rep who said he or she was putting a note in the account of all the issues lied.

That is just unacceptable. Well Comcast, congratulations. You lost a customer. AT&T comes on Monday!

Oh yeah, the first tech said he'd replace a 3 foot piece of cable for free eventhough it was fine, just because he had new cable with him. Then Comcast tells me I owe $60 for cable. Nice. That's just outright fraud.

I reported all this to Channel 25-West Palm. I hope they run the story.

This is a sad commentary on what happens when you have no real choice for a service and the provider of that service knows it and just doesn't care. What Comcast is doing and they way they act just isn't right.

Comcast in Wabasso, Florida - Back from Vacation - still no internet

Where to begin. Mistake No. 1. The vacation hold was done incorrectly so while I was overseas I was billed for a month I didn't use. When I returned the Comcast computer thought I had another month on the hold and wouldn't release it. That got sorted out, sort of. Now Comcast is claiming the service in "my area is degraded" since April 28 and that is why they can't get me connected. Rubbish. My neighbor has Comcast and he has no problems getting on the Internet. They refuse to send a technician out to my house. Even the retention specialist had the nerve to hang up on me. I do not swear or use inappropriate language. I deserve courtesy. They are about to lose me to another service. I've had enough.

Comcast in Davie, Florida - New installation a week late, insane billing

we had appointment for installation, never showed. Finally got installed a week later after calling every day. However got billing a week before installation including a weeks charges before any equipment. Customer service knocked off $22, but when I got first bill after only TWO weeks of service I got a bill for the crazy amount of FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY TWO dollars!!!!. Their internet speed is fast- their billing speed is much faster and their creative accounting is enough to get senior citizen (me) a heart attack. $422 after 2 weeks of service. Rip that *** right out. Even changing the packages to add on services still most channels wanted were additional and not present

I had something similar happen to me when I moved. When I called customer service (which is a joke) they told me not to worry about it and that most of it would be credited back to me on the next billing statement.

They actually did this, surprisingly. Not sure what to say about your case, though.

I obtained a contract online for tv and internet for the amount of 79.99 +1.99 for second tv adapter + 7.00 for modem + 15.00 for install of both I thought at the time. Free HBO and Free streaming for a month........ Then I get an e mail from comcast for a bill for around 125.00 to obtain a cable box.........put on my credit card and then after rebates are supplied I would end up paying 15.00 for delivery. When I received this outrageous offer I called the comcast office in my area. She said no I didn't have to order a cable box they would bring it. She also said the instal fee for both get that now for both the tv and internet would be 25.00. Didn't like that but well next time I will pick up what I want and do it myself.....she said the technicians would bring a cable box. I live in Fort Myers florida so two techs arrived from Georgia, yes Georgia. Instead of hiring here in florida they bring people down from Georgia. I had purchased a modem - a comcast modem - from Office depot thinking i would avoid the 7.00 monthly cost of renting one. Well when the installers came from Georgia who constantly talked about going home right after they left my house; finished installing my tv and internet (which took about 15 min) I asked how i could set up my android because i needed it since i have an extremly bad back (awaiting my second surgery) and i can not sit at the computer. One fellow said you don't have wi fi oh I said i told comcast that i would need wi fi because of my back. Thats when they told me that the modem I purchased does not support wi fi. I then asked them to bring in the one they brought and they refused saying they were leaving for Georgia right now. That is the customer support supplied by comcast, there are no improvements. I called comcast and explained to them what happened and they said they would send out another cable box to be installed by a tech. Yup he came and spent 10 min pulling out 2 cables inserting 2 cables and said thats it you are in business. A week later I rec'd a bill for over 90.00 for this 10 min visit. I called comcast to say i already spent to have it installed they said too bad and the first person i talked to hung up on me because she would not stop repeating the same thing over and over and over again, like i am an ***. I finally got upset and said would you stop talking so i can say something, she hung up on me. Great customer service. I called the second time and same thing she just kept going over and over and over the same thing so this time i waited the 2 mins while until she shut up and said are you finished can i say something. Yes, she replied. So i explained everything for the 3 time. She went put me on hold while she probably took a text on her phone came back on and said there is nothing she can do. I said ok i just won't pay it and I won't. Last year I had to contact vice president, by letter at the corporate offices and sent 18 pages of notes that i wrote down each time i had to call comcast about problems i was having, most times no cable, or pixelling, loosing chanels etc. Finally a lady from comcast called me and it took another month to finally fix the problem. The cable box wasn't working properly. 5 techs came to my house and finally someone looked at the cable box, after telling me each time it was the wiring in my house that was causing the problem. I paid 240.00 to have that fixed didn't make any difference. So because of where I live I am only able to use comcast I am waiting for century link to connect us as that is where i will be going, never to use comcast again. In fact i am considering cancelling comcast and using my computer to watch movies etc.........

Comcast overcharged me, failed to show up and generally blew me off

I signed up for comcast when I moved into my new home last year. When we signed up I specifically asked not to be put on a special program that would double my bill eventually, I was told that it would not be a problem. After a year of paying regular bills, I received a call that my bill was late, it wasn't, it had apparently almost doubled and I had paid the usual amount. After over an hour and a half on the phone explaining the problem to about 3 different people, I asked to speak with a manager and was told that they were not available and that one would return my call within 2 days. I never received a call. And I forgot about it until my next bill came. I called again, and again, after over and hour and a half explaining my situation to 3 different people in 3 departments, I again asked for a manager. Still no one available. I told them to cancel my service entirely. I was then transferred to another department where I was finally offered credit for the extra charges and a new plan. I also said that my internet was slow and sketchy and one of our cable boxes was not working properly. I was told that a tech would come out at no charge and upgrade my internet for a small up-charge each month and fix any issues with the boxes. I set up an appointment for the following week 10/9/13, after that call I realized that my premium channels were not working. The next day the woman who had helped me at comcast (who was the only helpful person there) called to say that she could offer an additional credit but that the manager would not need to call since she had authorized the credits. I explained that my premium channels were not working and she said that she may have put in the wrong plan, but she was afraid that if she changed it, it may cancel my appointment and or credits. I agreed to go without the channels for the next week and wait for my appointment. On the day of my appointment comcast was to be at my home between 5 and 7, no one showed up and I received a call at 6:59 that they would be here by 7:45. At 8:15 still no tech, I called them and was told they apologize but the tech was still delayed, no explanation as to why the tech or someone could not call me as I am sitting here waiting and I had dinner plans. When I called I was offered another appointment for the following week, which would mean another week with no channels. I told them I would wait until they could get another tech here tonight, which is what they offered. It is now 8:40 and still no tech. Needless to say, comcast does not live up to its promises or guarantees and the customer service is seriously lacking apparently the fictitious managers are never available and I you have to threaten to cancel your service to get results. You have created one seriously unhappy customer, and my friends who I had to cancel with tonight all said the same thing, they had gotten away from comcast for largely the same reasons.

MR.Tom Karinshak, Today i was put on hold for over two hours and cut off twice and transferred 3 times. I have been a comcast customer for over 15 years . in the past 12 months my service has been horrorable, I would loose phone service, have constant internet interruptions, and lossof t.v programming, This horror story continues thru this year every month it's another problem .My most recent problem started in July I kept losing my connections and phone serv. I was sent an updated modem and the problems got worse. Finally a tech name lee came out and stated comcast was using the same signal as my dir. tv and tapped into my line. He assured me he would fix it and stated all the splitters were bad . There would be no charge . I then started losing phone service. When i spoke toGregg ID 5zp and thenTakara on 7/27 540 pm they stated they noticed a phone #941 347 8538 I assured them my Phone # was 941 505 1663 for 14 years . They said it would be corrected, and would creit me I then stated I was charged 64.20 for a serv. call they said that was an error. during the next few weeks my phone would go off an on . On 8/26 I spoke to Phenocia and then Antonio in retention they said there was glitch with the phone #.I was then referred to tech service on 8/26 at 220 pm and spoke to Alexander who claim to be mr fix it and stated in 24 hours everything would be corrected. on 8/29 I lost phone service, I recieved a recorded call which due to the thick accent and bad connection I couldn,t understand. I had no phone serv. This morning I called customer serv,. and spoke to Penny, she claim to fix the problem and call Billing .After 45 minutes I reached tiffany who took the info and stated phone serv. had not been corrected she put me on hold for 1 hour and 25 minutes . Finally Courtney cook, retook all my info and stated some one had reversed my request which caused me to loose my phone# and issued a new number she says tech is off till tueday and I can't get calls on my old number. I am writting you because of all the problems going back to last year loss of connection service t.v and now loss of my phone #, staff saying they will credit my account but don't follow threw I have made numerous phone calls and have spent countless hours on hold, only to have my service screwed up again and again the 14 yrears prior I had no problems but this last 12 months have been ***. Please help I am truly disgusted. John.... Do you live in my house???? They are a nightmare and I am looking for an alternative.... would rather had slower internet that is actually reliable... And hopefully will find a company that keeps the promises they make to customers who have patiently dealt with years of unreliable service and dishonest customer reps.
