We have been subscribed for at least two years and the internet IS SLOWER THAN A TURTLE. IT ALWAYS STOPS OR ITS SLOW EVEN WHEN THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON USING IT AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO UNHELPFUL THAT I HOPE THEY FALL DOWN A TUB OF MOLTEN LAVA. ANYONE THAT SAYS COMCAST IS OK OR EVEN CLOSE TO OK SHOULD STOP TAKING WHATEVER MONEY THEY ARE GETTING TO TELL THESE LIES. WE ARE SWITCHING VERY SOON, WAITING FOR THE CONTRACT TO BE OVER. DONT EVER GET COMCAST! IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT 0 STARS.

Don't use Comcast

If you have any other option, don't use comcast. Every time I move, I have to suffer through several missed appointments before a technician shows up to install my internet and cable. When you speak with the customer service reps about this, they blame the customer and tell contradicting stories. I was told the the technician couldn't enter my building due to problems with the phone access system (my building doesn't a phone system, it has a front desk security guard) and another person told me, no, the technician couldnt' find my building. After this, 2 separate reps told me that I would receive a call from the dispatcher to set up a new appointment. The call never came. When I moved 2 years ago, I had 4 missed appointments before the technician showed up. I understand scheduling can be difficult but Comcast does not understand that for each missed appointment, I have to take a half day at work. Instead of an apology and some sympathy, I receive blame. As soon as I can switch services, I will. Also, your bill will increase randomly. Your service will be interrupted. Your DVR won't always work. They might shut off your cable then say, it was an accident that occurred when you upstairs neighbor moved but they won't be able to fix it for 2 weeks. Don't use Comcast.

Comcast lied to me!

I am 22-years-old and moving into my first apartment in Boulder, Colorado and wanted to get internet from Comcast. Over the phone I gave them my information, they told me that they had a 6 month new customer price which was $29.99 per month. They scheduled a time to come install it and I thought I was good to go. Three days later I got a call from Comcast and they said there was an issue with my account, and they could not identify me over the phone. My only option was to go to the Comcast store. When I went to the store I was treated VERY rudely by the representative. I told her the issue and she typed in some information and then informed me that they could start a new account. I would have to pay a deposit of $50 and my monthly payment would be $60. I told her that I was told over the phone that for a new user it should be $29.99 for 6 months. She said the only way to get that price is to order over the phone, which is right back to the original problem. I called Comcast and told them what the store representative said and they said I could only get service from that store for $60. Bait and hook is not my idea of good business practice. Thanks for your friendly help Comcast, not.

Comcast - benefitting from monopoly, how do we get alternative????

I am in a neighborhood where Comcast is the monopoly (on high speed internet) - so we all have stories around here. Six years later, and I should get a complete refund of all that I have ever paid to this lousy company if you paid me just $5/hour for the time spend with their customer nonsense (do they really call it service - they are joking, right?). Working from home, but internet has been non existent for the past five days since someone apparently decided to change some detail on my account. Oh I could go on - there's something every month. I know everything they ask me to do every time I call in. But what do we do? What is our alternative? Which organization can we all sign onto to get these corporate guys booted? I look over the complaints and we can all vent - but they don't give a *** because we don't have alternatives....

Comcast jeopardizes small business move

After many weeks of dialog and attempted service connection with COMCAST for a small (35 person) northern Virginia office they now say the don't know when they can connect even though the cable is already into the new office space (we are moving from another office building); they say that the area served "is in transition".... what the heck does that mean; we're now a little of a week from our move-in date, in today's world small companies cannot function without reasonable internet connection/service and COMCAST looks like a bunch of lost sheep; the company appears to be incompetent. Comcast provides poor service and then tris to make it sound like the issue is only happening to YOU

My nightmare four years with Comcast has been horrible, but no one else provides cable where I live. Try calling the Presidents Executive Service Team Lisa Rosario at 703-789-8314 or Tony Miiller at 703-926-2178 and you will get nothing! Just lies and more lies and they say they cannot put anything in writing or even send you an email to confirm they are going to do what they say (???)... an internet provider that cannot respond? More bull&%$# from Comcast! DEMAND to speak to the RETENTION TEAM when you call 1800COMCAST - they are there solely to try to keep your business! I am trying this today (just found out about this yesterday) but I have no hopes at all. I hate COMCAST!

Comcast-How to get just a little service!!

If I treated my clients like Comcast does, I'd have to live in a cardboard box and eat what I could find in trash cans! But then I wouldn't have cable service, and this handy-dandy tip for you! I still want to take all of my comcast equipment and run over it with a steam roller, but Here's a suggestion which worked better for me: On my third attempt to resolve a dispute I CALLED BACK AND SAID I JUST WANT INFORMATION REGARDING WHERE TO SEND A WRITTEN COMPLAINT BY CERTIFIED MAIL! It got me earlier service, and a $50 credit, although little remains of my dignity or desire to stay with COMCAST. We called in because of some minor pixillation. The technician left us with no service (cable or internet), AND THE OUTSIDE BOX OPEN WITH WIRES STICKING OUT! For the first 3 calls, Comcast wouldn't schedule a return visit for TEN DAYS! after the initial visit which cut off my service entirely! The second was the most amusing....I spent nearly 9 minutes with someone named STELLA (4 of those minutes pleading with her to connect me with a supervior, or a least a human with more than 2 active brain cells, who kept saying "I don't understand what the problem is....I finally dumbed it down to MY SERVICE DOESN'T WORK...AND SHE STILL KEPT SAYING SHE DIDN"T Understand what the problem was! Her "supervisor" SHAWNELL wasn't any help either. It took a call to ROB, and a request merely that he help me get the national address: Comcast Corporate Offices 1 Comcast Ct. Philadelphia, PA 19103 Ask for your local office(s) too, so you can cc them. At that point, they started trying to help me...Go figure!

COMCAST owes me money and will not pay.

In Jan 08 I stopped my internet service with COMCAST. I have now made over 15 calls to over 6 numbers and have logged over 4 hours in call time being bumped from one office to another, many not knowing what to do or how to help. Some offices say they will help but with no action. The end result is they have still have not returned a simple $22.69 they owe me. In Feb 08 they stated it would be 4-6 weeks. In Aug it is still 4-6 weeks. I guess the check is in the mail! Image if we owed them? Do you think they would have taken action?

Comcast Missed Appt and Poor CS

I made appt. on Saturday at the Waldorf Comcast office for a Sun. appt 12pm-3pm. Technician was a no show even with a phone confirmation of appt.. I have not had internet service for 2 wks. CS stated problem was with ZoneLabs. I removed Zonelabs and installed McAfee and the problem has not been resolved. Talked to CS foru times and access to internet problem has still persisted. This has no show for the appt. happened in the past. iExpected to pay for service but technical issues are difficult if not impossible to solve without an act of Congress.
