Apparently this site works. I got a call from the Executive Customer Relations Team, who gave me credit for their errors, and gave me only the internet, which is what I wanted in the first place. Good for now.

I am a disabled senior, and I cannot get out much. I wanted internet so I could "get out in the world". I called Comcast (after I found out Comcast was the only service available, WHY IS THAT?), and asked how much it would cost for internet. The fast talking sales person said the triple pkg (tv/phone/internet) was a much better deal for under $80/month for 12 mos. I had a friend over and told them what the sales person said, and he said it seemed reasonable, so I agreed to their price. I didnt need the tv or phone, but used it because it was there. The tv would lock up several times per week, and the "on demand" seldom worked. I got a lot of strange phone calls with phone number they gave me, from people I didnt know, and many who couldn't speak English, and have no idea what they wanted. For 6 months, the bill was for around $75/mo, as the sales person had stated, and I paid it on time every time. After 6 mos. I got a bill for around $153.00, with an explanation that they had billing errors the previous 6 mos. No they didnt, it was what we agreed to pay. I went on their website to their hopeless chat session to find out what was going on. I got bounced around several times to other people who said they couldnt help me, but would transfer me to someone who could. Nobody helped. I finally got someone to write up a "trouble ticket" and they said someone would contact me within a couple days. I gave them my contact info so they could do so. About a week went by without a word. I went back online to their website, and noticed I had an email. I never used their email acct, which was not my contact info I gave them either. By happenstance, I just happened to go to the email acct, and someone had replied, stating that they indeed mis-billed me, and I should be paying $130.00, and I could not continue the $75 rate. Of course, I couldnt reply to their one-way emailing system either. I finally found a way to email customer service, and explain the whole situation. I live on a limited income and cannot afford $130.00, (this is the "real" triple pkg. promotion, which will still go up later after 12 mos.) I did not phone them, because I wanted everything in writing, and had also read endless problems with trying to get issues solved over the phone. I told them in the email I never wanted the triple pkg in the first place, so please cancel the tv and phone, provide me the due credit, and give me my original request of the internet promotion only. That was over 3 weeks ago now, and nobody has contacted me, just send me another bill now over $200, which obviously will never get paid. I guess the only way they will contact me is when they turn the services off, and turn it over to collections, which obviously I cant/wont pay because of their lack of the ability to solve a simple problem or even communicate with me. The real problem in all of this is lack of competition, which I read the FCC just approved a merger of Comcast with another cable company. It will all just get worse until we boycott the Comcast's of the world. I spent 30+ years developing world-class customer service organizations, and Comcast fails miserably in every regard.

Why do I have to surf through hundreds of channels to find the ones in my package? Why do I have to continually view Comcast offers for events and packages? I just want to watch TV!! Customer service sucks after long hold times and multiple options to get to a human. It is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and zero customer service. I feel bad for their employees. Man talk about having to get bs all day long while execs rake in millions. Who is going to fix this monopoly? One hundred words? This is a true Comcast nightmare story.. Customer service that is the worst, and then, after 2 months, a bright spot out of all the idiots that work there. 6 weeks ago I received a letter stating I was being upgraded to the new dosc3 whatever and I would get a new voice modem. I thought great! Sent in my request.. this is where the *** with comcast has come very close to junking them and going with uverse. I received my modem.. it's a voice modem with WIFI and a router.. Upon learning that I cannot turn off the wifi, it has to be bridged by comcast, as comcast will not let you get into the router part.. Also learned that every time the modem needed to be reset, it would have to be bridged again. I would just use my own router. SO I called them, explained the elec. here, goes out and blinks all the time, That I needed a modem with no wifi.. they said sure..... no problem. I think, all is good.. well a week later, along comes ups with my package, I send back the other one.. open it up and.. ITS THE SAME MODEM. I'm getting pissed now.. recall them.. explain EVERYTHING once again, am assured they will send me the correct one this time.. Hung up, called the retention dept, and explained everything again, they double checked and assured me the order is there and it will be the right one.. I feel confident, got 2 different people looking at it.. I wait.. and wait.. Ups lady arrives.. Big box.. thought, well.. we'll see.. Sent the last one back AGAIN. Opened this box.. now what do you think I got? 2 TWO thats 2 of the wrong modems. Who in there right mind orders or uses 2 effin modems? Doesn't comcast look at their orders? Does not the shipping person look.. I was assured this would be a voice modem with NO wifi. Appears they do not care what the order states, they just go so fast and grab grab grab off a shelf, not reading and ship it out.. SO again.. another contact with comcast.. By now I am HOT.. this has been a month now. Ongoing comcast ***. called comcast explained ONCE AGAIN.. all this.. Am assured again that I will receive a voice modem with no wifi no router.. just a simple *** voice modem. What is so hard to understand about this request?? I wait once again for a week.. ups lady comes again even she is laffing and bad talking comcast. Telling me to get Uverse, it's cheaper, and you get a 200$ gift card. Any way.. I get the box.. small box this time, I really think this is it! Wait, the box is awful light. I send the 2 wrong ones back at the same time. I open the box.. Know why it was so light? It's a *** empty box!!! What the *** is this ***??? Furious now.. I call comcast yet again.. this makes 6 or 7 delivery's of nothing but ***. This is not a company, this is a circus. and a over priced one. I did online chat this time. explained yet again my problem, and let me tell you it's getting harder to do as the story is getting LONG. This person assures me they will get it straightened out.. I said I doubt it, heard that 6 times before. and anyway.. they said it would be shipped. The right one.. hahaha They know nothing about doing something right. ANYWAY, This was Thursday 8/14 The next day I got an email showing where my bill was changed, which just proves whoever I chatted with did SOMETHING, but, I have NOT received an email that says "My equipment has shipped" Thought I would this morning 8/18 Nothing. SO.. now I don't think they even put the order in. I will probably once again call them. But it will be my second to last call. I've had enough of a dysfunctional company. If this is not fixed. all I want is what THEY offered ME free.. an upgrade. I didn't ask for it, nor did I ask for this ***. One voice modem, with no router or wifi.. what is so hard with this? I already have a call into uvers and they are coming today to check me for installation. Not going to commit yet, but having my options open. Going to get the actual prices, what I get for it eq etc. Comcast will have one last chance and frankly thats more then they deserve. What am I asking here? Well a *** voice modem with NO ROUTER or wifi. I mean I didn't ask for the upgrade, I got a letter in the mail saying I was being upgraded. Maybe even a check to see if this was even ordered and being shipped? What else am I asking for? Everyone I talked to should not have a job there. I get an email and call from a woman soumds_esl@cable.comcast.com From get this.. CORPORATE/ I tell her my whole story, she assures me that SHE will send me the right modem. I doubted her and said so.. her exact words were: "I'm from corporate and I will send you the right one" Well guess what??? I got one and it was.. WHAT? THE WRONG ONE AGAIN. This time no shipping label to send back. I called her and emailed her back for a week.. progressively getting more pissed. She has never returned one email or call. A Comcast Corporate ***.. and THIS is what you want if comcast is to get even bigger? Now to tell you about a fantastic guy who works for comcast.. Now.. I went on facebook and found a comcast page, and just posted the words "Comcast sucks." A couple days latere I got a message from a guy who is in Philadelphia, and named Peter. I do not know if he is corporate but his email address is also cable.comcast.com. Well THIS guy needs a raise.. after a week of talking with him he found one of the modems I was looking for. Had it sent here, and is now sending return mail stickers and box as well.. Also, will credit my account for the battery I will have to buy for the thing. When comcast sold me on the telephone part, they guaranteed a battery.. I had explained my elec goes out in the country here all the time.. well the new modems do not come with a battery now. If I knew that was what was to come, I would not have got phone service with them at that time.. switch and bait eh? Also this Pete is crediting my account 100$ for the aggrevation I have went through.. Hows that for support.. This guy needs a raise! Are you LISTENING comcast. This is the sorry sack of *** comcast is now..It will get worse trust me. It will get so bad people will start fighting back. and I for one will join them. Comcast is to big for its britches now. Don't let it get MORE out of control. Their tech help knows nothing.. I've had pixelation on the tv when I use the computer. This has been on going for a month as well. Had a guy here, cut the ends off my cables put new ones on.. called it fixed.. it is NOT fixed yet. But the good part.. he sat in my kitchen waiting on something he had hooked up and talked on his cell phone for 30 min something about his kid and basketball. When he got the reading whatever he wanted, he said see ya, went out in my drive and sat in his truck.. no *** now, for over an hour with the door open so I can hear him.. about his kid and basketball to the same person. Is this more of why comcast charges so much for *** service?? cant wait to go dove hunting and start shooting birds sitting on comcasts cable wire. Un effin happy customer BUT this Pete in Philadelphia needs a RAISE comcast... ONE person went above and beyond to help me.. where 8-10 others could not, and/or would not do. Well, Nikki, I think that he would like them to do their jobs right the 1st time ... or maybe even the 2nd time instead of the 10th time, over a month later.

I think that he'd like it if they provided competent customer service. You're living proof that you can't fix ***.

If you don't work for Comcast, then you should apply. They'd hire you in a heartbeat and probably put you in a Management position.

I called comcast and placed an order, the technician showed up to do the install, he did not have enough equipment and informed me that he did not have a signal coming into the house. He ordered a new cable to be ran. The work was done a few days later and after waiting 3 weeks, i called them back for them to complete the install. I was informed by a sales person that there was no record in the system associated with my address or phone number. He proceeded to take the new order and informed me that the price i was quoted was wrong and that the new price would be $30 a month higher, additionally there would be a $39 charge for the installation. We got disconnected and by the time i called back the comcast offices were closed. The next day i called back and was quoted a the same package for $5 more dollars a month and an install worth $60. Again we got disconnected and now the monthly price was $125 and the install price $200. Comcast is the most dishonest company i have the misfortune of dealing with. They used the bait and switch tactics and kept changing prices and install cost. I highly recommend you re-evaluate if you are considering comcast services.

Comcast - Tv Package Review from Chattanooga, Tennessee

I came in to no service again from Comcast, but just on one TV. After spending 34 minutes on the phone an associate had fixed an ongoing issue of different channels coming in on one TV than the other (this issue I have paid for service calls), one TV not having any cable service tonight, and she had offered me a triple play package. While I didn't need a home phone, this was going to give me many more channels than I have and upgrade my Internet for just about $6 more than I was paying already. Although I called with an issue and had issues with Comcast since the beginning, my issues had finally been resolved and I was going to even upgrade. This lasted long enough to eat dinner. My cable went out again just on one tv. When I called back, another 33 minutes and I'm told the offer I was offered I cannot have. I was instead offered a lesser package for about $22 more than the higher new rate I had already accepted. Since there is a monopoly here, my choice is to take what channels are given when they are given and at the rate they are charged or do without or do without. I feel to have decent television the rates are exorbitant. To offer me something, take it away, and then tell me I can't have it was insane, especially when I didn't call to add services to start with. I didn't even have service. It should be against the law to not stand by your word. Oh wait, it is isn't it? But that's only if you're not above the law. Remember you're only as good as your word. Character has failed this company. I don't want a free month of HBO. I don't watch it. When you make an offer and an offer is accepted, you should not take it away.

Comcast - X1 box did not work 3 months - credited then took credit back

Here is is my letter to comcast ( tis after after 10 plus calls and 8 months no resolution) Dear Mr Karinshak, My name is Fred G Volk III and I am Director of Operations for PeriShip and have been desperately trying to resolve a customer service issue that started late last fall on my home account. and now more than 8 months later I receive an account shut off notice - So as you may imagine my frustration level is high and feel that I have been a loyal customer for many years ( take a look and my revenue and stellar payment history) and yes, I am decision maker for multiple accounts. ** Making an inbound call to your team is painful and I will never call in again. Whats real interesting is that there is no competitive pressure for you in my market so perhaps thats why there is little to no concern. Here is a brief recap of the concern and I am dismayed as to why the xfinlty team cannot resolve. ** You sold me on your new X1 platform - I upgraded in fall of 2013. The TV did not work for months and we called multiple times and your technicians came out multiple times and in between we had the just reboot your system on an almost daily basis. If the TV was not on the channel you wanted then forget about it - The X 1 was frozen and screen locked up. Even more interesting to me is that the technician did acknowledge that there were system wide issues and then my wife even received a follow up apology call and thanked us for our patience and that the account would be credited. At that time I was already frustrated but also felt that the call was appreciated and that credit showed to us that you were interested in retaining our business. ** Trust me I have much better things to do with my professional and family time then call you and mess around with a TV box and the189.99 credit did not come close to covering anything. And also trust me when I say that thankfully for me 189.99 is not a problem to pay - but why when you did not provide the service then drag me thru the most dreadful customer service experience ever. So the bill comes on 2.11 and I see the credit and felt that it really was not sufficient but thought well lets move forwards. I pay the bill and event throw in extra $100 just because I like to stay on top of everything (bill date 2.11.14) The next bill cycle on 3.11 the bill was much higher and after wasting even more time reviewing I called and was told the credited were a mistake. I try to explain that it was not a mistake and since then multiple calls made and no resolution. Mr Karinshak - I respectfully request a review of all calls and interaction on my account for the last 9 months and you will see the lack of follow up and how more of my time was wasted. At one point your Vermont center even sent a technical out to install the x 1 box when I already had one - When the arrived and told me what they were doing it was comical. Whats not comical is that I just received a FINAL Notice Of Disconnection and I am running a business. I would also add that I pay for a business class static IP and some were in your process my internet speeds came to a grinding halt - And yes I have that documented as well ( 6.6 mbps down and 1.1 up) Really ? Then to top that I was taken out of my package price and paying higher price for the bundle - much higher than my neighbor. All I can say is that I expect follow up and some meaningful resolution before you shut my account of 15 plus years off. Best Regards, Fred G Volk III

Comcast offer upgrade then revoked offer

First of all, let me open by saying that the individual I talked to on the phone in the sales center was extremely helpful and friendly despite the situation being extremely disappointing. I was mailed a promotion for an upgrade from Comcast that consisted of Digital Starter TV and Performance Internet for $69.99 on a 2 year contract that included 6 months of HD DVR service. I currently have just Performance Internet. I called to sign up for this upgrade and an additional sports package. I was informed that the offer was not available in my entire state. So here are my concerns: 1. My address is printed on the offer I received in the mail. Why would I be receiving solicitations for services Comcast will later refuse to provide? 2. I currently have Performance Internet, therefore it is available in my area. Digital Starter TV is available in my area based on my conversation with the sales representative. I'm willing to go on a 2 year contract. How is this offer not available to me if the service exists and I was targeted for the offer? I'm not canceling my internet service, but I am an unsatisfied customer.

ComCast Billing Is Very Not Smart!

We are not happy with our *** bill, comcast scares the heck out of every single customer they have. they must lose thousands of good solid paying customers, just because they have a very wrong and *** billing system. They send you 5 bills a month, They charge you an entire month in advance, so your bill look's outragious, they are rude as heck when you cann them, they shut you off if you late, they charge you a just wrong fee to pay your frickin bill with a live person, they don't act freindly at all or want to help you in anyway unless your paying them in full and even then they are just rude as ***. as soon as I can I am going back to dish tv, it's cheaper by far and much better service, dish works with you if your late, dish wants your bussiness. I will keep comcast if they wise up and fix there *** billing and don't charge you a month ahead of time, also the bad attitude they all have. the modesto ca comcast needs a new management or ceo that can make the customers very happy. soon they will be out of bus if they keep charging like they do and billing like they do. the internet tv is coming in a year that will amaze you. you will not have to buy a package deal at a horrible price just to watch the one channel you want. if they let me run the company, I would gain millions of very happy new and old customers and make comcast far more stable and wealthier. trust me. comcast you better very fast chang a whole lot of how you do bus.

Comcast Billing Practices

Well of course like everyone else Concast business model and practices border on extortion. For 2 years as part of my bundle my bill was quoted as approx $185.00 per month. Mind you i dont have anything extravagant. 1 TV with a HD Box. 1 TV with a HD DVR and our Bedroom TV with just a basic digital adapter on it. Standard Internet and Phone service as well. I just had HBO prior to this NEW 2 year bundle. Somehow i got this Premier bundle without my knowledge. No biggy i'll take it. Now as of Feb 8th i was told my 2 year contract was up. So i get the bill and its now $233.00. And to top it off as of March first i'll be billed another $9.95 for a "HD Technology Fee"...WTF is that?....Plus some of the other services are going up as well. So i figure my bill is now going to be around $250.00 or more. I dont know about you but thats a little ridiculous. So i call of CS and see if i can get reduced somehow or moved into another lesser bundle. I dont want or need any of the pay changes. Basically was told i cant. I said but i just want HBO. Was basically told its an all or nothing package, you cant really select the pay channels you want any more. She did suggest that i remove the $3.19 fee for Home wiring protection plan that i took......OoooooOOOOOOOooooooo. Yeah that'll help. So in the meantime i have FIOS comming out on March 4th for install and kicking ComCrap to the curb once and for all. Of course once i return the equipment and cancel service they will be up all in my butt trying to get me to rejoin with awesome incentives.......*** me!!!!!!......I signed up with FIOS for a 2 year contract with pretty much the same Comcast package. 1 Multiroom DVR(better than Comcast), 1 HD box and 1 basic adapter., phone and internet. Not only did they speak English and appear to be from the USA but she was very helpful. Mind you i realize they were putting on there best face to get my service and that might change once im a customer but none the less it was refreshing. So for all that i am now paying about $155.00 for the first year. Approx $179.00 for the 13th to 18th month due to some promotions ending and then for the last 6 months about $195.00. To me thats ridiculous savings!!!!.Plus i get a $100.00 Visa gift card!!!...And i can add and subtract services without fees too unlike Comcast....You know i didnt want to change over. I now have to redo everyone who has my Comcast email address. But its a smaill price to pay now. Comcast has just gotten ridiculous. I remember working for a small cable company about 20 years ago. Basic cable was about 20 bucks and if you had all of the pay channels(HBO, Cinemax, Disney and Showtime) your bill was about 60 bucks if that........WOW, times have changed......Come on March 4rth!!!!!!!!....Buh Bye Comcrap!!!!

There was no way I was getting Comcast. All I wanted was internet and after finding out I had to rent a modem by the month, F that.

I did go with Verizon but even they really aren't all that good. Very slow DSL for an expensive price, but it is way better than Comcast.

Comcast stopped by my home offered to lower my bill with a new package plan of course I excepted will from there it goes down hill the install was terrible the tech left to get another box since the first one did not work said he would be back in 1 hour that never happened it was 5 hours later before he showed back up and cables are running every where in my home even after I ask him if this is what it would look like and he said no now this started in December I still have the same tv not working and I called to get someone out here again to fix the problem and they canceled my appointment with no call to say they weren't coming I have called the corporate office and still told wait another day how lomg should this company be allowed to treat the public like this when is someone going to step up and give the public what they pay for

Comcast another ripoff

They are now shutting off channels that were orginally supplied in the contract. When I called to see where these channel went , guess what they have been moved into a new package you must buy. They can tell which channels you watch alot, so thet shut them off and create a new package. This is real dishonesty at its finest. They should lose the license. This kind of treatment of consumers can not be tolerated. Time to go back to direct TV, however they most likely all work together to create this type of trap, not hard to understand why people want and should get government control of these companies

FYI: Comcast and other cable providers have no clue what channels you watch, they do not track that info, only Nielsen boxes track that.

The channel line-ups are changing a lot based on what the owners of those stations are demanding from Comcast and other cable companies to pay them for access to that channel.

Some channels cost Comcast a few dollars per customer....example: if you have 80 channels and they all costed Comcast $2 each then Comcast would have to charge you $160/mo just to break even. Luckily most channels are pretty cheap and Comcast owns a lot of them (E!, NBCsports, USA, etc.) - it sucks when you lose a channel that you like but that's how it works.

COMCAST BEWARE

Sales guy at Comcast comes to our office to offer their services at a "huge" discounted rate..."take the package, it's free stuff" We didn't need TV, we didn't need phone lines...we needed basic internet connection to check email. We end up with Super high internet speeds? Cable TV with a ton of channels (we don't even have TV in office) and phone and fax lines... NEVER USED them. Called to cancel within the 30 day window and are being told we owe $183.67 for stuff we never ordered or used... Go Comcast! What's up with the 30 day money back guarantee?

Comcast and the disappearing customer

First came the "Upgrades" to their network that removed 50% of the TV channels we typically watched, then came the increased rates for the programming that remained (not much, just enough for me to go "hey, didn't they just REDUCE my offerings???"), and then just a bit more of an increase, then they moved the channels from the "normal" numbering and forced you to use a box or have all your channels on 81.8 or 82.13 or other bizarre channels, and FINALLY, without any warning at all, they move just one final channel away from my basic package and POOF! this customer disappears! I don't know why I didn't go out and buy an antenna a year ago...
