Call them and cancel the service and follow your oral request up with a certified letter telling them that due to your continuing lack of service you consider any "contract" or agreement to purchase their services is null and void. Advise them they can come out and get any equipment they want of theirs but you will not pay for service not rendered.

Make sure you do NOT pay them anything as they haven't provided the services. If you gave them your credit card info, also dispute all charges, etc. This is why you never, ever give these companies your card or bank info as payment.

Always request a monthly bill which you then verify and pay via check or your bank's bill pay service---which is free at major banks. Anyway, good luck but never pay for something you don't owe!!

Comcast is the worst service provider. Their subcontractors don't show up or leave in the middle of an assignment. Who runs this show ? What are the options ? The Comcast help line is a joke. They give me a 420.00 credit for no shows. My time is very valuable. Even the schedulers can't get it right. We agree on a date/time. Then I get a notice to remind me for a time that I did not choose. What is up with these people and organization ? I wish that there were other options for service providers in my area. I would tell all people, don't use Comcast.

My underground cable broke in January so Comcast put it across my lawn till April when the ground thawed. So they never showed,I called and was told two months to fix it so I told them I was going to cancel my cable and it got done in one week. I told them I had sprinklers so they said they would do it with shovels that didn't work out they hit the sprinkler line. I've been calling Comcast every week for six weeks and got no where at all very frustrating.

If you can dial the phone to customer service, assume they know how to plug in the *** TV. When you tell them up front that you've turned the cablebox off then back on and all TV's in the house are having the same problem, and they still insist on walking you thru the list on their screens, you know the level of help you will get from their customer service professionals. After a lengthy spirited discussion, you finally get a service call appointment, for 5 days down the road. They say they are trying to improve customer service....Sure they are.

I work for corporate housing and I would like to tell you about my recent experience with 3 of your technicians. I had to that were absolutely amazing. Not only where they professional and efficient, but they went above and beyond there responsibility. Their Tech#s are 8364 (Roberto), and 8322 (Will). I would love it if there is a way to reward these two. The third person #8671, was totally the opposite. The way he set up the system was incorrect, when we attempted to login, the password he wrote was absolutely impossible to read. In addition he used the restroom, without permission. Leaving a nasty mess. Without being to detailed it was disgusting. These are fully cleaned and furnished units, with me being the last person in it, prior to the tenants arrival. My opinion is this man should be at the very least suspended for this. Absolutely unacceptable. Thank you, and I would love to have some confirmation that this has been received. Extremely high rates. They have a monoply in my township, so i dont have a choice but to use their services. Their customer service is a joke. I needed a technician to come out for service. He asked me if i was adding an extra line, which i wasn't. I winds up, there was a problem with the outside line. The technician also had to repair the shoddy work that the first comcast technicians a few years ago. Comcast tried to charge me for the outside line that was finally repaired, but after debating them, they did credit me. Hopefully another cable company will be able to come into my township, as i can no longer afford their high prices.

Comcast Installation Complaint ( or lack there of install?)

Hello , spoke to a customer service rep 2 days ago and set up service for today 05/28/16 between 1pm and 5pm. Waited for service or at least a phone call till 4:20pm when I finally called into Comcast to ask about service mans whereabouts. Spoke with a young lady and she stated technician came to my home at 1:38pm. Huh? He knocked on door and then called me . Again huh? Room mate , dog and I never heard door bell ring and I never got a call from technician. My dog was roaming free in yard and would have barked at anyone she didn't know on my property . Let alone a Comcast van pulling into my fenced driveway out in rural Golden Gate!!! It had just quit drizzling rain so maybe the tech didn't want to work? Lovely woman on phone then stated that unknown ghostly service man notated that I had to have a new cable line run because box was 250 feet away? Huh? I live in a rural area however I had service with Comcast in 2014 , lines were previously run and my home is 125 feet off the center crown of the asphalt road and MAIN telephone pole they run service off of is approximately 150 feet from cable box on west side of home. HOWEVER my neighbor currently has Comcast and there is a telephone pole between our 2 homes and Comcast previously ran cable and internet off THAT telephone pole which is approximately 35 to 40 feet away from my cable box. I get the impression the technician did not want to work late today and choose to falsify his paperwork on this potential installation. I asked when they would send someone else and of course since it is 5 pm on Saturday and Monday is Memorial Day it would be Tuesday between 8am and 8pm?? Wow! What horrendous customer service. I can honestly see now why I dumped their service 2 years ago. Technicians that don't show up then lie about it and then I'm going to potentially be charged for adding new lines when lines are already there or can be run off neighbors and my existing pole and box??? I'm very disappointed to have waited all afternoon for nothing. And it appears Comcast doesn't give a *** about my time waiting. And then to find out they are going to probably try and charge me for a quote "250+" foot line installation is bogus!!!!! WOW!!! How is Comcast still in business ?

I may be wasting my time to say how bad Comcast service is. If you go onto Comcast Reviews and Reports, it shows their service desk representatives are rude and not knowledgeable. Then the technicians that are sent to our home are just as, for lack of a better word, ***. I don’t believe that anyone is trained to sell or use the equipment they offer. Every time they show up at my home to repair or install something it NEVER happens the first trip. It usually takes several trips to get the job done. When you call to have someone come back out, and after being transferred a couple of times, it would be too easy to just send the same technician. The second trip, the issue starts all over (from the hour phone call, to the lack of knowledge when the so called technician gets there). It’s a waste of my time and your money paying people to do what should have been done in one trip. Is that how you stay in business, deliberately NOT doing the job the first time?? Then passing the cost of multiple trips onto your customer?? So to make a long bunch of bull, shorter; Comcast ranks in my book, THE WORST service you can ever “not” receive. On a 1 to 100 scale, they deserve a 1. I am SO UPSET right now, and I hope that they read this and take it to heart, before they lose all their customers to Dish and Direct. Take some pride in your company, and train your employees to actually care about WHY they have the job they do in the first place…CUSTOMERS…PEOPLE!! Without us, there would be no you!! Try to make some changes, so your customers won’t feel this way. Thank you. The saga continues… I was told that there would be someone at my home on Friday, April 22nd between 1-5pm and no one showed up. No call, no nothing. I guess they don’t care if their customers are sitting there for hours waiting for them to show up. What a joke! Then they wanted to come out to my house on Sunday afternoon in the same time frame, from 1-5pm. Of course my answer was no. We set the appointment up for Monday between 8-10am. They sent the same man that came out the first time (on April 20th) and he didn’t know how to complete the job that first day, so why was he back at my home? I showed him everything that needed to be working and that was a waste of my time. Needless to say, I had to have yet even more technicians come out to my home to get the boxes working. They came out on, what was the 7th day involved in JUST TRYING TO GET MY BOXES ALL WORKING. On the 26th of April, they sent 2 different trucks (what a waste of the consumer’s time and money there alone, not to forget the several other trips they made). Between the two men they sent that day, hallelujah, they got my cable boxes working. I have one question to ask Comcast/Xfinity… DO YOU TRAIN ANYONE THAT WORKS FOR YOUR COMPANY?? From my experience, I DON’T THINK SO. WARNING TO ALL COMCAST CUSTOMERS: BE PATIENT AND DON’T EXPECT MIRACLES. THAT IS WHAT IT WOULD TAKE FOR THE TECHNICIANS TO ACTUALLY GET THE JOB DONE THE FIRST TIME!!

After 9 years with Comcast at two different residential addresses, I have finally switched to a new company that costs less and provides far better service. Over the years, it has never ceased to amaze me just how little energy or effort Comcast puts into its service, and how little it seems to care that its customers (myself in particular) are dissatisfied with its service, pricing, speed, and attitude. Moving to a new address? Thinking it will be easy? It won't be. Comcast is sure to bungle it, or forget to make the transfer, or some such idiocy. Expect even the most basic technical issues to require 3 or 4 calls, and expect to be disconnected frequently after waiting on hold for 45 minutes. Comcast's service is utterly and absolutely "third-world," literally what one would expect from a monopolistic ISP in an impoverished country run by crooks and staffed by know-nothings. If you are moving to the Nashville area anytime soon, PLEASE do yourself and your family a favor and switch to a service like United Communications, which has excellent service, great speeds, and costs far less. (And no, I am not a United employee, nor have I been cajoled by United to write this endorsement!)

They can't get my bill right and I'm truly worried they'll keep making up charges and I'll have no recourse. I can't trust them anymore - plain and simple.

They won't ever put any promises in writing and don't even have an email address for billing department.

Think about it - They're an ISP for crying out loud! That's like saying you can't send a letter to the post office!!

I've had the worse experience with Comcast customer service. They never arrive on time. They send service people that do not have repair knowledge. They are rude and lazy. One service person spent the entire time telling me how he can't install or provide the service advertised. One person was confrontational with my husband. I enjoy the tv service as long as there is absolutely no human interaction. I would lose my job if I performed like Comcast representatives.

I have always had good service from Comcast. I always assume they will be late because I have enough sense to know that many things can go wrong with technical applications, and trouble shooting can take some time.

Add to that the fact that you want your service as cheap as possible, which means they must pay their help as low as possible.

This means they have trouble finding qualified help.

This is the typical american mentality. You all want to shop at walmart, then you are stup1d enough to complain that there are no good paying jobs in america.

Comcast is so cheap they employ call centers outside the USA ( the Phillipines ) so the don't have to pay min wage or benefits. The people who are supposed to be helping you resolve issues could care less. In my case bold faced lied to me about turning on my service in ten min. The reps are told to say what ever it takes to get you of the line within there five min time limit. and to say what ever it takes to get you to buy services you don't want or need. when you get a little behind in your payments they turn off your service. but do not reburse you for the days you were without service and still paid for it. they do have a right to shut off your service for not payment but not to charge for the days you were without service. shomtimes *** happens that we have no control over. Comcast does have control and still gives poor customer service to save money.
