Tropical storm winds a week ago, no lines down, Comcast still has service out without communication or explanation. Att has restored all the neighbors that dumped Comsact last year and had less than 2 hours outage.
To make matters worse, the cable plant for Comcast is in major disrepair. Looks like they are spending all resources dabbling in wireless with Verizon MVNO. They had a contractor come out and raise the drop, however just looped it and didn't connect the cable strain relief so will probably disconnect from the coach connector once service is finally restored.
It really telling about their management, the field crews are usually excellent, the failure is on management with communications, distasteful planning and systems. Contact center in Manila or India told me they loved me and I am appreciated, at minimum that communicationwasn't appreciated and was kind of ***.
