Comcast - Poor customer service

I signed up for Comcast internet June 2016. On August 26, 2016 I signed up for Comcast Xfinity triple play I was told I needed a phone to use the voice function, (voice works without a phone) I repeatedly Declined the phone service, but I was told I needed to sign up for it But I didn’t have to hook it up, of which I agreed. My first Months bill carried an equipment charge of $10.00 For internet/voice equipment, after calling Xfinity and explaining that I previously had internet and supplied my own modem and router I was given a follow up tag number to show they had indeed submitted A follow up. This scenario has continued every billing cycle since August, I call and I’m given a call tag. It is now February and I am still being charged for equipment, the sales person Also, told me I would receive a $200.00-dollar gift card, and every month when I call I am told it take a while to receive a gift card.? Being so frustrated with Comcast I called to drop to a lower tier of service And was told my triple play package is the cheapest they offer and if I drop The premium or sports channels my bill would go up. I cannot wait to drop Comcast when my contract expires, meanwhile I would like To get my $200.00 gift card and the $10 00 equipment charges refunded to me,

Comcast Internet Only Service

At midnight 09/14/16 Comcast changed the WAN address from 24.10.21.182 to 24.10.18.114. As a result the cable modem was forced OFFLINE until about 3 AM, back online for only several minutes and finally back to normal at 6:08 AM on 09-15-16. About 6 hours of service was lost. Their assertion that they provide 99.99% reliability was not in place during these six hours. As a result of the address change all the port forwarding and VPN addresses that are referenced in our book marks had to changed to the new WAN address prefix. This is about 100 changes made in more than 10 computers. Before this morning, the entire network (cable modem, router and switches, customer owned) worked perfectly until Comcast made a WAN address change.

Comcast - Slow internet speed

When I try to download a web page and it is slow - I do a speed test and guess what - I pay for 75 and I am getting 45, 57, 62. I have called in for a "reset" 50 times and then called for an agent - probably 12 times and all they do is a "reset the modem". The next day - my speed is back at 47, 55, 63 when I have trouble. They are ripping the paying customers off and I am now going to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General Office of my state to address the problem. This is nothing new with Comcast and customers need to make it clear that they are being cheated.

Details
This is ridiculous were paying for reliable service. So when im taking a timed test for college i should not have to worry about the internet failing on me but that is not the case. The internet decides to fail in the middle of a timed test (50min 50question). When i call to find out how long the Internet will be out the service provider lets me know it will be out for additional 4 hours. This is unacceptable and is destroying very important things that can not be replaced. Which includes grades for test for college classes that i do not see comcast helping me pay for.

had bundle service with cable, internet, and phone. down graded and kept internet. for 2 months waited for a corrected bill as supervisor assured me that it was a down grade. on april 27 recieved bill for early termination as they changed there mind about a down grade. i still have internet so how can they charge me for early termination. somebody help.

Comcast - Questionable Behavior

I have to say this is the worst experience I've ever had with a company and it really makes me question Comcast’s ethics. Here's another cautionary tale about a customer who was quoted one price and charged another. This makes the third month that I have called in about my bill being more than I was told it would be. For the last two months I spoke with people who were very understanding. They could see in my account that there was a mistake made and they told me that they could fix it (all I had to do was wait for the correction to show up on the next bill). I know now that this was all an act. Something I was told to get me off the phone and keep me happy because every month I still saw the same incorrect price. Today I call and… well at least I can say the lies finally stopped. I was told that the promotion I was given is no longer available and the price on my bill is the best I am going to get as all other options are either the same amount for less [product] or a higher amount (basically I just have to live with the higher price they charged me). The fact is, this is the only internet provider for my apartment so I actually do have to live with it. They got to reel me in with false advertising and I get to pay the higher price because I have no other choice if I want internet (which is necessary for my job). Here's the kicker. My price is only $10 higher. Something I wouldn't normally argue over because it's just $10 right... But here's what I realized and here's why I tried to fight it. Because Comcast is a large corporation serving millions of customers, if they charged only 10% of their customers $10 more than they said they would per month, they would rake in millions of dollars more than their quoted price allows. And no one says anything because it's just $10 and it's not worth the hassle. Well, label me a victim because I need internet so they’ll be getting their extra $10. Way to win Comcast.

Comcast - Without service

Needed higher speed for working inhouse. Had comcast installed. 6 hours later the internet and 2 of 3 tv sets were not working. this was on a wednesday. 3 phone calls on thurs. 2 on friday 1 on sat. 3 hours on cell with the tech guys. They sent a tech on sunday. After I told them that the equip was bad the tech determined that the equip WAS BAD. DUH. Comped me 25 bucks.BFD. Then they wanted to know if I was satisfied. OMG. Dont know what to say. Not.
