Comcast - Bad tech. Cable poe service with compan

5 days now no x.1 tv no internet from comcast ! thursday tech checked inside cable its good ! repaced cable modem. Outside tocomcat amplify on pole shows noise on outside trunk cable! No outside cable tech!!! Been told by 2 techs hes coming !! text supervisor in Philippines dont even know my probems here or see notes! No one communicates in comcastor talks to sub contractors!! Disorganization on repairs and don't care! Take my money and ignore my none repair no services for 5 days! Why are monopoly internet providers like comcast? Un accountable! For bad service and immunity fromstate fed regulations?? Bs

Comcast did contact me in this one, but their response is disappointing, they said the advertised speed is for direct wire connection, and not guaranteed for wireless... First of all, when I was signing up for internet service, the rep on the other end of the line...

Comcast - Single parent in college.

Details
Single mom of 3 kids, i work full time and im a Full time college student. NO internet, so can't turn in my assignments, cant go to the library. That cost money for a babysitter. Called comcast and what do they say. They Can't come out untill tomorrow and someone over 18 must be home. So i have to take the day off and miss out on pay, and i have homework due at midnight tonight. So pissed off. Said they will credit me. Ha ha never have in the past.

Customer service is awful! Internet, TV and Phone service keep going out. There is an outage in the area but no one knows anything about it. What can't they have the technicians put up to date info on the the website? Customer service is in the Philippines and they have NO idea what is going on nor do they speak English very well. I am switching as soon as I get me service back...good bye! WHY DO I NEED TO HAVE 100 words? This is crazy. Iwill keep writing until it hits one hundred words words words words words words words words words...

Comcast in Chicago, Illinois - 2 Cancelled Service Appointments by a No-Show Technician

I have Comcast internet service and have been having a ton of issues with spoty service. I called multiple times to get this fixed only to be told that the modem needed to be restarted. After doing this multiple times without any resolve I asked for a tech to come out to look at the line. The 1st appointment the tech never showed up even though Comcast said they did. I rescheduled for the following day and the same thing happened. I called customer service and put a few complaints on twitter. I received a call back from a manager who proceeded to tell me I had an outdated modem, not true. The modem was purchased this past weekend and is on the approved comcast list. She proceeded to blame me for the intermittent service due to an old modem. Someone on twitter finally contacted me back and all they were willing to do was reschedule the appointment. I have wasted so much time dealing with Comcast. Their service is terrible and their customer service is unable to solve issues or provide credit for the wasted time. I would love to switch to a different provider but do not have any other options.

Comcast in Fishers, Indiana - Internet service dropping out

having had the service for some time 2+ years and in the last year the problem has continued to increase in frequency. our video feed has no problem but the internet drops off completely we have had customer service out 2 times and they all brag how the signals are adequate and we should not have any issues after replacing the router/hub/wireless device they leave. only to have the problem happen again and again. the us/ds lights will start flashing and go thru the restart whatever and service will soon return sometimes for a short period and sometimes longer, the problem has only been acknowledged by there online tech support and they could not do any thing for it. they all pursue the WiFi as the problem but my computer with monitoring software is a hard line and i am surprised it has been up long enough to type this text when the upstream/Downstream lights drop out the link to the provider service is basically gone. This stops all thru put. i am pursuing other providers. i am sick of it and will not recommend it to family or friends.

This is called "ranging" when a couple of the lights on your modem/gateway drop off. You can replace the modem a thousand times and the same thing will occur.

The reason is because the problem exists before it even gets to the modem. This is clearly a case of signal loss. Since you said you are not experiencing reception issues on your tv(s), then the signal loss is close to the modem. Verify the coax (screw on cable) is finger tight.

Follow that same cable from the back of the modem. Is there a splitter you happen to run into?

Replace that two dollar point of failure. Also, no ports on a splitter should be left open as often times ingress and egress are a common variable based on the symptoms you are experiencing.

Comcast misleading Data Overage Charges

From the beginning I have had an issue with Comcast. I was jerked around about getting it installed, told I could self install and then when that was not true I was charged for installation even though I was told that would not happen. I informed Comcast upon start up that we need high speed internet because we streamed Netflix, Hulu, Etc and also used the internet a lot for gaming and surfing. I told them I did not need cable and I was talked into a package deal because it would be 'less money' to get both the internet and cable together. Now I am being charged for data overages- I WAS NOT aware that we had ANY cap whatsoever on data, I would have NEVER agreed to this. I do not get a paper bill, I have to log into an app to access information. I usually just pay my bill. However, this time it was $100 higher. After digging, I was able to discover that I was charged $100 for data overages. I called and spoke with someone at Comcast and was treated SO rudely. I have never in my life been jerked around so much by a company. I am VERY upset and disappointed. I do not want this to happen to other people.
