Comcast - Internet and router service

I take it this company Comcast is doing testing all hours of the day and night!! I have to unplug due to hot stage!! I am happy that I don't have to pay for such service and a matter of fact pay to replace equipment!! I wish it was such a router to see what is hook up to this router?? I said before I do unplug router to cool off,but when plug back in it goes back to what you see in video!! I take it this is how you do business with your customers!! At times when I want to use or download better yet send something all it does is spin like stuck in mud just like a tire to a vehicle spin after a while I get to use my turn!! I wonder if it happen there you would be working on it in no time!!

I signed up for Comcast internet June 2016. On August 26, 2016 I signed up for Comcast Xfinity triple play I was told I needed a phone to use the voice function, (voice works without a phone) I repeatedly Declined the phone service, but I was told I needed to sign up for it But I didn’t have to hook it up, of which I agreed. My first Months bill carried an equipment charge of $10.00 For internet/voice equipment, after calling Xfinity and explaining that I previously had internet and supplied my own modem and router I was given a follow up tag number to show they had indeed submitted A follow up. This scenario has continued every billing cycle since August, I call and I’m given a call tag. It is now February and I am still being charged for equipment, the sales person Also, told me I would receive a $200.00-dollar gift card, and every month when I call I am told it take a while to receive a gift card.? Being so frustrated with Comcast I called to drop to a lower tier of service And was told my triple play package is the cheapest they offer and if I drop The premium or sports channels my bill would go up. I cannot wait to drop Comcast when my contract expires, meanwhile I would like To get my $200.00 gift card and the $10 00 equipment charges refunded to me,

My cousin has Comcast in New Jersey, and it is horrible. They can wait days before they inform her she has about 20 missed calls. They are a disgrace. I can call her, know she is home, and she never gets the call, or is alerted days later of missed calls or messages. This has been going on for months and months. You would think they would care, but they do not. I think a carrier pigeon could get a message to her faster than your service. How about a turtle, even that would be faster. I can always tell when you have her internet down, when I do not hear from her for days.

***Contact Better Business Bureau for real results*** Comcast should feel embarrassed. I very rarely complain about services I purchase, but Comcast has consistently ruined my cable/internet experience on countless occasions for approximately 5 years. If you run speed tests, you will quickly realize you receive a fraction of the speed you paid for, depending on time and day. Speaking with Customer service is dangerous - they withhold information regarding future price/rate changes, so demand crystal clarity when subscribing. -Comcast customer service will inform you there is no complaint dept if you ask. -Comcast customer service will speak to you nicely, but *** bald into the next life. -Comcast believes in Price/rate changes for everyone! -Hidden fees, Yes Please! Every few months a new charge will appear on your bill that you didn't request. Just routinely call and have these removed (20 min. to speak to Rep so set aside time). -Comcast won't take you seriously until you contact Better Business Bureau. Some day, A great moral force will demolish the Comcast Empire and demand apologies from its elder prophets. Until then, We the people must cope with the deceitful and incompetent blow hard that is Comcast.

I've had service(?) from this company since 7/2015. They have fouled up my billing on more than one occasion, been untruthful, have awful service, don't invest in utilizing USA phone support (anti-American) and now I truly believe they are throttling down my WiFi so I give them even more money on a monthly basis to get a "faster internet connection". Some days WiFi drops out completely. You call them and you are lucky if you can get away from their initial voice recognition system which is horrendous in and of itself. If you are lucky, you hear "service is out in your area...we are working on it". Finally, I've had to leave work on 3 occasions to be present for a technician to come in to fix the system. I AM HOPING THAT THEIR MONOPOLY IS NOT EXTENEDED BY THE FCC WHEN SOME ISP WANTS TO BUY THEM OR VICE VERSA. They are the worst company I've ever had dealings with. I truly believe they are throttling back WiFi to get people to get a faster and obviously more expensive package

Hello i have been with comcast for four yrs an have been being bill for my own modem i as well have been haveing isssuse since september where the cable an internet are going very slow where if i change the channel it takes ten mins for guide to appear an ten mintues for the channel to change an now my cable have not worked since new years eve an now it firday the 6th of january evey time i call comcast i get the runn around an then the send two techs out whom didnt do anything an an the still chanrge me for them an the cable still dosent work nor dose it work in my bed room i had t rearrange my entire room to get the internet to work iny bed room also my bill startin july was only suppose to be with taxes a other fees 160-170 never have seen one bill for that amount NEVER

I've had nothing but bad experiences with comcast. They double charged me the guest month for a "deposit" no one bothered to mention. Then the service SUCKS! Nothing loads correctly and movies cut in and out. Now our Internet mysteriously cut out yesterday, we exchanged modems, and it's still out. But of course they can't get a technician here for 3 days. I will NEVER get xfinity again!

I've been with Comcast for years now and finally my last move to Naples, FL as I'm on fixed income & retired! I had my new manufactured home wired for cable & high-speed internet! The agent told me if I agree to a 2year contract my bill would be one price for all my services.....WELL, my bill has always been higher and service goes out every now & then especially internet! When I call for help, I speak to someone I can't understand and is very frustrating! My bill is way to high for what I get & service is a joke! I am looking at other options like many because Comcast is NOT the only kid on the block anymore!

Comcast - 2 Cancelled Service Appointments by a No-Show Technician

I have Comcast internet service and have been having a ton of issues with spoty service. I called multiple times to get this fixed only to be told that the modem needed to be restarted. After doing this multiple times without any resolve I asked for a tech to come out to look at the line. The 1st appointment the tech never showed up even though Comcast said they did. I rescheduled for the following day and the same thing happened. I called customer service and put a few complaints on twitter. I received a call back from a manager who proceeded to tell me I had an outdated modem, not true. The modem was purchased this past weekend and is on the approved comcast list. She proceeded to blame me for the intermittent service due to an old modem. Someone on twitter finally contacted me back and all they were willing to do was reschedule the appointment. I have wasted so much time dealing with Comcast. Their service is terrible and their customer service is unable to solve issues or provide credit for the wasted time. I would love to switch to a different provider but do not have any other options.

Comcast - Internet data usage plan

This plan doesn't explain enough. Does it effect downloading and/ or watching a movie? How about watching watching on movies on iPad or iPhone? Even on television? What about emails sending pictures? What is the amount one will gave to pay to receive this plan? Outside interference will one have to put up with!! Last time someone look at my connection what was found was 3th party router!! Is this going to really fix a problem or just add more to it?? How will this make the internet system secured?? Wouldn't it be better to add an app. To iPhone and iPads???

having had the service for some time 2+ years and in the last year the problem has continued to increase in frequency. our video feed has no problem but the internet drops off completely we have had customer service out 2 times and they all brag how the signals are adequate and we should not have any issues after replacing the router/hub/wireless device they leave. only to have the problem happen again and again. the us/ds lights will start flashing and go thru the restart whatever and service will soon return sometimes for a short period and sometimes longer, the problem has only been acknowledged by there online tech support and they could not do any thing for it. they all pursue the WiFi as the problem but my computer with monitoring software is a hard line and i am surprised it has been up long enough to type this text when the upstream/Downstream lights drop out the link to the provider service is basically gone. This stops all thru put. i am pursuing other providers. i am sick of it and will not recommend it to family or friends.

This is called "ranging" when a couple of the lights on your modem/gateway drop off. You can replace the modem a thousand times and the same thing will occur.

The reason is because the problem exists before it even gets to the modem. This is clearly a case of signal loss. Since you said you are not experiencing reception issues on your tv(s), then the signal loss is close to the modem. Verify the coax (screw on cable) is finger tight.

Follow that same cable from the back of the modem. Is there a splitter you happen to run into?

Replace that two dollar point of failure. Also, no ports on a splitter should be left open as often times ingress and egress are a common variable based on the symptoms you are experiencing.
