Comcast web site wants too much information

Comcast web site refuses to give general product information unless you enter your street address. And, you can't send comments on their web site without entering even more personal information. If you want to compare their service with others, you can't access the information. They shouldn't have an internet site that doesn't provide consumers with general price information. It isn't a safe feeling to feel forced to enter a street address. All they should require is a zip code. If your area is blocked out of service, then there should be a notice stating the areas where service isn't available along with the product information. The Comcast web site is very User Unfriendly.

comcast is the worst company ever when it gets to resolving problems and their custermor service has the rudest and unprofessional people who work there, they will lie to you to keep you there, i had a problem with my phone service for two and half months basically it just didn't work had no dial tone call comcast three times to come and fix it with instruction to call me before hand on my cell to make sure i could have someone there, well needless to say they didn't call and just left a note saying they where there. i called back the third time and finally they followed my instruction and called and had no problem getting in to fixed the phone.

the service man said the phone was not hook up correctly there was a short in the line and he fixed it in about 10 minutes . the week before he came out i talk to adam in custermor service he seen where i had called before and where i had instucted for them to call before they came out so he said to deal directly with him and he would get me a credit for the time i had no phone service just to call him back after the tech came out and fix the phone. well i did and he wasn't in the office as he said he would be well i called back and talk to Angie in Custermor service in the knoxville tennessee office who was just basically very rude so I made the commit about canceling my service and she came across like she really didn't care. I think companies like comcast only think about one thing and thats making the money.

they could care less about you or me. I truely do not understand why comcast believes they can get paid for a service they don't supply for what ever reason, but they do. I made the commit to one of the reps .

Let me just put it this way if you went to a resturaunt and order and meal and they never brought it to you would you pay for it. I don't think so but comcast does they expect you to pay for service you don't get .

Comcast is terrible

My hd feed goes out all the time. When I call, I am on hold for at least 10 minutes (like tonight). When I finally get a customer service rep, I am offered to pay additional money to fix their product which is not working. (HD DVR box) I already pay close to $200 per month for a static-ridden phone, internet, and cable. When I DVR shows, I go to watch them only to find out the hd feed was disrupted and they have a messed up picture and bad sound. (I have exact dates when this happened- at least four times) . When you call they are incredibly rude and only want to sell you more services.

Comcast - Charging for no service

Unrelated to the storm- my cable (internet & tv) went out in August - it took them 5 days to get someone out to fix it. Funny thing was I could get the guide on tv but no pictures. The technician told me it was some sort of problem only on my line. I was promised a credit for the days I was without service over 2 months since the incident I am still trying to get the credit. Related to the storm - I called when I got power because my internet was out and my TV was doing the same thing as in August - guide but no picture. I suspect that whatever the tech did in August is broken again as my neighbors all had their services (comcast/at&t etc) running including one who told me his cable never went out even in the storm. I called comcast & they wouldn't come fix my service because there was an "outage in the area". Not sure what area they mean since it was just my house. Called a couple of days later & convinced the CS dept it was just my house - no other reports were coming in from my neighborhood. So service was scheduled - NO ONE SHOWED UP & NO ONE CALLED TO CANCEL. Service was rescheduled and ONCE AGAIN today no one showed up & no one cancelled. Comcast is able to run their business like this because there is no other cable internet provider. Get this - I tried to cancel my service today but if I do they will only give me credit for the outage up until the 24th and they will bill me for service from the 24th til today - no matter that I still do not have service. I am trying to find out who I report this to - there has to be a federal or state agency that handles a business saying that they will charge you for services NOT received. I am posting this everywhere I can - we all need to report this to the state.

Here is what I did-215 665 1700 is the

number for HQ in PA. Call that number

and speak (don't EVER take no for

an answer-regardless-) and DEMAND

follow up.

I try to settle things myself, but at times

I must get people to do what they are

hired to do........work for a living!

You will get results.

Comcast - Unparalleled Incompetence, Appalling Service

How can Comcast exhibit such astounding incompetence and abysmal customer service and still be in business? I guess they must be paying off the right politicians to retain their monopoly on cable service. I subscribed to Comcast cable and internet service in South Florida in November 2007. From the beginning I had nothing but problems. First, I could only get about 10 television channels. It took three months, a number of missed appointments, a series of visits by an assortment of chuckle-head technicians who each had a different theory of why I was not getting the service I was paying for. Finally, one chucklehead decided to change-out the cable box and that resolved the issue. Next, I couldn’t seem to get Comcast to send a correct bill. In addition, they do not offer billing notification through my online banking service as reputable companies do, nor would they send a billing notification to my email address. I had to settle for a paper bill via USPS. Then in May, my service was suspended for non-payment of the April bill. Of course I had paid in full and on time. Even a copy of the cancelled check was not sufficient to convince them that I had paid. When I phoned Comcast and advised the representative that I was dissatisfied with their service and wanted to cancel my subscription, she had the nerve to tell me that I could NOT cancel my service while my account was under suspension and that I would continue to be charged! None-the-less, I disconnected all the equipment and turned it in to Comcast (with another copy of the cancelled check). Undaunted by the fact that I had paid in full, they turned my account over to a collection agency and made a derogatory report to the credit bureaus.

Comcast - Day 12 - No Service

Like many others affected by hurricane ike, I have been without cable and internet for 12 day's, even though I have had power since 09/13. I have had enough of Comcast and their lack of information. I just would appreciate a little bit of information. This morning, at 9:00 a.m., I returned 3 of the converter boxes back to my local Comcast office and cancled the service (switching to AT&T Uverse). There was a line that was outside of the facility and down the sidewalk with people just like me. Maybe they will begin to understand how poor service and lack of comunication leads to loss of business.

I'm doing the same in regarsd to Tv service, unfortunately Comcast is the ONLY broadband option for me... and it's really starting to irk me.

We're 18 days without service...and all their 'engineers' etc that are supposedly working in the area, are apparently invisible.

Comcast's upgrades increase our Internet problems

For the past month and a half it has been problem after problem, losing internet connection for no reasons on almost a daily basis. We were told in different occassions, that it was our modem, our router, we unpluggged, plugged back, rebooted, you name it and today, that I was even told to contact Microsoft. The bottom line is, we rarely had any connection problems all these years . But for the past 45 days, we would lose connectivity on a daily basis, for 1 or 2 hours, for no reason, and then it would come back again, without us having touched absolutely anything at all. Our internet connection thru Comcast seemed to have a mind of its own. And today, after turning it on our computers to access our email through Outlook, all of a sudden Comcast did not recognize our passwords at all. Their kind CC rep had a lot of patience guiding me through all manners possible to get Comcast recognize our passwords, which we had used all these years with no problems. She finally recommended that we contact Microsoft, because it seemed to be a problem with Outlook. Give me a break! All of a sudden Outlook does not work, just after they did an upgrade? So, without having touched anything, 2 hours later, I try to check our email once more, from the same PC, and miracle of all miracles: it works Comcast has been installing new rollouts, doing upgrades and all that stuff they do to justify new price raises. However, all these "upgrades" have been affecting us, your for the past month and a half. There is no other justification. We don't have FIOS on our end of the street yet, but we are seriously considering switching ASAP. I work from home, and all the problems and service interruptions I've have interfered with my job. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?

Comcast Philadelphia sends DRUNK technicians

Comcast - specifically Comcast in Philadelphia, is the worst run company I have encountered. And the websites to order service never work. Want to order their new Triple Play with cash back? I tried this 2 months ago and after talking with 10 people including a regional manager (not sure of the exact title) Comcast still thinks I have service in my apartment and when i go to order online, I get none of the deals. Nobody is able to fix this because they are too lazy to take care of this. Back to the title- In my building, Comcast has so far: 1. Sent a technician who was sent up to my apartment by the concierge and never showed at my door, then lied on the report and said nobody was home. 2. Sent a drunk technician to my friends apartment- smelling so bad of alcohol 3. Never once showed up on time to any appointment in my building And I have just bought a new TV and am thinking about internet/cable service. I am now 3 months WITHOUT comcast because I don't want to give them any money. Even though I want to try to order service now, my address is still screwed up so I am not able to. If anyone from Comcast is reading this- send a reply and I would gladly like you to call me. In the meantime, we will all continue to spread how poor Comcast deals with customers.

Comcast - Horrible Service had to Cancel, then the fun started...

So I have been a customer for 4 years and recently moved apartments. They promised me a Saturday install for September 6. No show. They promised me then that they would show up Tuesday. I took the day off work to be home. No Show. I then canceled my service. The problem is that there are no other options for cable and internet service so I had to call them back. I got the same service, but with an "appointment" ten days from now. I have no faith that Comcast will keep its appointment. But I have no other options. If there were any other services in my area I would switch.

Comcast - Useless Installers and Customer Service Reps

I took a day off work and the installers showed up late and took 4 hours to connect one phone jack. After reviewing the problem I solved 5 minutes. Addtionaly, I called to speak to a manager as the service was horrible on a spamming issue. The internet connectivity is a joke. As an IT professor my time wasted for hours as I called 10 times and nobody was remotely qaulified to help me. The company advertises great service and delivers another. Hopelessly under trained people and poor internet ervic as the router must have been reset one hundred times. Good Bye Comcast

Comcast has the worst customer service

I have been trying for two and a half months to get an erroneous charge off my bill. I have logged over 20 phone calls and 10 hours on the phone with no progress. I speak to person after transferred person finally ending with a "supervisor calling me back" as you can guess no one ever calls back except for an automated phone message telling me I need to call to settle my bill. I moved 2 1/2 months ago (a mile between old and new address) and was charged over $300.00 for not returning my equipment, obviously I shouldn't return my equipment I am still using it. During this period I have not been able to purchase pay per view movies and events because my account is over limit. If I didn't like the product this issue would be a no brainer, I would take their equipment to them and tell them to shove it, unfortunately I do like the cable service and the high speed Internet works great. Whoever is in charge of their customer service should be FIRED, and their boss should be fired for keeping them around. The display of incompetency and overall lack of care on this matter has been incomprehensible, this posting does not begin to convey my frustration.

COMCAST owes me money and will not pay.

In Jan 08 I stopped my internet service with COMCAST. I have now made over 15 calls to over 6 numbers and have logged over 4 hours in call time being bumped from one office to another, many not knowing what to do or how to help. Some offices say they will help but with no action. The end result is they have still have not returned a simple $22.69 they owe me. In Feb 08 they stated it would be 4-6 weeks. In Aug it is still 4-6 weeks. I guess the check is in the mail! Image if we owed them? Do you think they would have taken action?

Three months trying to get comcast serivice to a doctors office.

For three months a children's doctor that serves needy children, and needs internet service to get hospital lab results, has been trying to get service in a building that already has comcast. The landlord had sent a simple agreement to comcast several times and called repeatly yet no answer from the sales reps at comcast. Is business that good at comcast they don't want more? How can I contact a top manager at comcast to see if they might want one more customer? Does anyone know the e-mail or address of the president of comcast? Any suggestions?

Comcast didn't show after 14 hour wait

Called Comcast on Monday (11 August) they said someone would be out Wednesday (13 Aug) after 3pm, but I could keep calling Tuesday to see if I could pick up a cancellation. After repeated calls Tuesday, I was finally told that I had a "MUST COMPLETE" ticket and they would show up sometime between 8a and 8p on Wed; they wouldn't give me a time. Took the day off and started calling them at 6:15p to find out when they were coming..........kept getting the "MUST COMPLETE" story. I called every 15 minutes until 9:30p and was told I would have to call back Thursday morning and reschedule my appointment. Called Thursday at 6:30a and got an appointment between 2p and 4p. At 1p, someone called and asked if I still needed someone to come out. They showed at 3p and finally the cable that was cut coming across the neighbor's yard. The call center was RUDE and CLUELESS and I was without cable, internet and phone for 3 days. They didn't even apologize for the delays. Unfortunately I am out a day of wages and even if they refunded the 3 days of service I would never see it because it is paid for by the Homeowners Association. Contract is up for renewal next year and I am going to vote not to renew! Call center repeatedly refused to let me speak with a supervisor.

Comcast, bad service, liars! long hold times! Comcast = *** Artists!

I hope comcast is reading this!!! So i set up service in june. since that day i have had bad service! the tech did not install my modem, instead he was texting his "G mama baby mama mam thing whatever". after that the internet worked for a few (3) days. after that i had 4mb service. i did sign up for 16mb high speed for only $90 bucks. i called about it and they gave me my 16mb back. also i do server level upload and download from home. well that lasted for 2 weeks. then i noticed that my ip address does not resolve to my modem. a tech came out at 5 pm, i had comcast schedule the tech to out there at 6p. i was coming home when i found that the tech came out eariler and that he cannot wait for me to get on site. i told him what need to be done. the ignorant SOB told me that he doesnt know how to log on to my home computer. i ask if he has a tech's (company's) laptop. the answer is NO. so i told him that OK go keep yourself busy be checking the line inside the home, his response... i dont know where the modem is. i told him where is was. he didnt test it. i told him, ok go to the outside box and test the line there. well that was the end of that. well there went about a month and a half of 45+ min hold times 3 times a week. oh and the sad thing is that a few times i got voice mail. that just pissed me off! finally i get a hold of some one friday 8/8/08 i immediately ask for a manager or floor supervisor, 30min wait. he assured me that he would have a technician out on tuesday 8/12/08 despite my unwillingness to pay for very bad and unfair service and he gave me a $20 bonus credit. well tuesday rolls along, at work around 10am i get a call to see if i wanted the tech to come out earlier, i said no because i was at work(1 hr commute to home) the appointment was for 1p-4p. i went home at noon to be there at 1, which i was. i wait and wait, i get a "courtesy" call at three that the tech cannot come out because of the bill issue. i explain the situation to them, basically they want me to pay 225$ for a service im not getting and they denied that i was holding for 45min at a time because they "monitor" the calls. and customer service hung up on me too! today i am going to call someone over there that is above a floor supervisor! i have be wronged as a subscriber. i am done with comcast!!! at&t here i come!!! now i know how this person feels: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/17/AR2007101702359.html I hope comcast is reading this!!!

Comcast is not willing to fix my problem

I'm a comcast client for almost 7 years, my service is not working. For the first time I requested phone service with comcast and my phone, internet and cable is not working. Comcast technitians have missed three appointments and customer service states is nothing they can do. I have a bill of almost 3 hundred dollars for a service that I'm not receiving, I'm running out of options. One of the technitian told my husband that the amps are not strong enough, I should I fix this problem? I'm having a contractor review the lines that comast is not willing to check... I need help.
