Comcast in Oswego, Illinois - Email problems

Details
I had an email address and password that worked until this morning. Now I have a new address and password. I never asked for them. All of my emails that were sent to the old address are gone. I've talked to two different people (who could barely speak English), but got absolutely no satisfaction. Comcast is horrible. As soon as we're not locked in to one of their "specials" we'll be going somewhere else. We had them at our old address, but when we moved we were considered new customers.

It's odd that when you call to cancel and they say it's cancelled, it's not actually cancelled. I just got a letter in the mail from the so called executive customer relations. She tells the FCC that they do not deal with accounts that are passed due. My bill was not passed due in anyway before I called and cancelled. She also states that she had attempted to call me and email me numerous times only to get nothing in return. That's where the lie continues, the last call I recieved from comcast was about my wifi somehow mysteriously reaching their ridiculously low cap, in just 8 days. How? Especially when no one was around or home at the time to use the internet. But that call was back in November. The last email I had gotten was in December and I had answered that one. So, how do they justify this? By telling the FCC that my account was disconnected for non payment. So that's what you call canceling? Comcast is a corporation that needs to be taken down and disbanded for the lack of customer service, *** equipment, excessively raising bills, and for their "don't call it a cap" data cap.

This one of the worse monopoly companies in south florida. I am unable to switch to another provider and Comcast knows that, which is why they slow down the internet at night every night. When I called to complain they "reset" and yes it definitely speeds up, but the next day it slows down again. I called again and they said that was unacceptable and would send a technician. The technician said everything seemed fine, the speed is fine the connection from the outside is fine, everything is fine but told me that he would write on the paperwork that he changed a connection on the exterior to ensure that i wouldn't be charge for them to come out and there wasn't an issue. I told him to do whatever he wanted because I was not going to pay anything, zero. Biggest scam, if only they wouldn't steal from me and deliver what I am paying for.

inter net hasn't been working right for long time been calling them they said they set up appointment for a tech guy to come out but when he didn't show i called again the lady said that there wasn't a tech showing up even tho they gave me a time and day when he was showing up after being on phone with the lady about 1/2hr she hung up on me.At this up comcast service blows and i wouldn't recommend this service. comcast makes you pay alot for service that isn't even working right. When you get there agents on the phone they say they make appointment and they don't then they hang up on you.

Over 2 years later im getting debt phone calls from them now firstly theyve never spelled my name right then ontop of that my bill was only spose to be 80$ and i got a bill for 120$ i payed it then they shut off my service after 20 days and wanted another 110$ they wer charging me late fees on late fees cause they didnt even tell me how much i really owed in the first place they dont care about customers at all and i was tired of paying that much for just internet so i switchex to at&t havent had a problem for qlmost 2 years now and its not even 50$ a month for internet so yeah theyre just a bunch of *** artist

in the last week I have had 2 business days with no internet or phones seperate incidences I have had 4 within the last few months. Their business customer service reps are trained to give you the run around and will not escalate your concerns. I have resorted to a complaint with the fcc I will have to fight to get released from this contract the penalty is 75% of your unused contract In 23 years I have had 4 providers and Comcast is by far the worst, not just because they have outages but also because the way they treat you and their staff training on how to try and get rid of you There is no place on their business web site to email a complaint The supposed supervisor I got on the phone after a 30 minute wait told me not to talk & hung up on me when I asked hime to send me an email of the procedure to be let out of the contract. I feel sorry for anyone that works for comcast I have comcast intenet at my home & it is just as bad

Lightning struck my home over the weekend and I had to purchase new televisions and I replaced the equipment (modem and DVR box) from Comcast, only to have the NEW equipment (modem and DVR box) not work....I called in to customer service and was on the phone for about an hour and I was totally unsatisfied! The person was not capable of handling my problem. My cable and internet is still not working and cable is too high to be on hold more than I enjoy my TV and internet. I wish there were come cable companies in my area.

It sucks, but it wasn't Comcast's lightening that struck your house. Just be glad they didn't charge you for their equipment. Doesn't seem legit to give Comcast a bad review for a lightening issue.

If lightening struck your house, wouldn't there be a possibility that the lines in your home went bad? First initial thought, but I'd check into having a technician come to your home.

Just make sure you have their Service Protection Plan for $4.99 on your account first so you don't get charged $99.99 for them to come out there.

After everything is fixed, just call back into them and take it off. Work their system.

Comcast admitted charges weren't correct, still wouldn't reimburse

I realized from my bill that Comcast was charging me for a modem that I was not renting from them. I had purchased my own modem several years ago. Customer service stated they showed at least two years of this $10 per month charge, but they couldn't go back any further. Do they not keep records past two years? I have had my own modem for 8 years. Supervisor at the call center stated that it was my responsibility to inform them of the wrong bill when it occurred. That even though they have documentation of my $10 per month payment for several years, they could only credit me $30. This is their policy and they would not budge. I have been with Comcast for 11 years, but I will not be with them another. For a conglomeration of this size to have no customer loyalty is very sad.
