Comcast - Billing, Installation, Service, Everything Else

Comcast as a whole, is the most incompetent company to deal with. Half of their employees do not understand the concept of basic accounting or simply reading a bill. Every time I call, I spend at least 2 hours getting transferred and hung up on by the *** people they hire. The fact that your online billing only updates once a month is absolutely ridiculous. How can I avoid speaking with your ill mannered customer service reps if the online billing is always wrong? I wish you long years of suffering and quick bankruptcy, you P.O.S. company, Comcast.

Buyer beware. Salesman will say anything to get you signed up. Majority of what he said was lies. Said there would be no charges for installation, actual changes were ~$160. Said our monthly bill would be ~$125, actual bill was ~$190. On top of all this, the bill is nearly impossible to understand, including 20-30 line items w unhelpful names like "service fee". Aside from the billing issues, service is comparable to Direct TV. Luckily we were within the 30 day window to cancel wo being charged. Comcast is garbage. You have been warned. Do not ever ever ever get this product. After a 12 hour installation on a house prewired for security systems everything is false advertising. The cameras have a 10 second delay from entryway to monitor. Commercials watching a sleeping baby is false advertising. Baby will choke to death before you see it on monitor. Now after disconnect before 30 days you have to deal with all the charges comcast claims you owe. If you get this product don't say I didn't warn you. Still fighting. Be ready to owe 400.00 minimal???? Why

Comcast - No internet

We have currently had three techs at our house In the last five days, three dinners disrupted, they got in my attic and had insulation on their shoes (made a mess). All three had a different solution to a problem they created, an upgrade for HBO and STARZ. Finally we have tv service with no Internet and might I add we have talked to over five people by phone ourselves trying to troubleshoot. The last guy we just talked to told us WE need to take our modem and switch it! All Due to their problem which is now mine. If the problem isn't resolved soon, they can come get it all. We pay over 2500 annually for this kind of service. Ridiculous!

Comcast - Installation Review from Baltimore, Maryland

I ordered service to my apartment and the rep number one came an hour kate because he was "stuck" at another job. Then soon after he came he barely spoke English and then said he could not install the internet service because he was not sure if a cable line was working or not. After calling the rep I verified there was no service and the tech still refused. Very incompetent and made it harder to just stall service than it need to be because I didnt have their cable service.

Comcast - Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Rip-off artists!

I signed up for service which was going to cost $129 total monthly. They said free installation. I have had service for 10 weeks & my bill is $719. The upped the monthly amount by $30. They charged me for installation. Wi-fi wasn't working right & it took hours & hours on the phone to convince them to come out & fix it. A new box was sent here ahead of time. They charged me for BOTH sets of equipment while we were waiting for someone to come & do the repair. I could write a short chapter about all the craziness at this company. When I called corporate to make a complaint about the billing & service, I explained to her that the wire in the backyard was supposed to be buried within 2 weeks. two months later it wasn't buried yet & my son accidentally cut it in half & it took days to get service restored. Lady at corporate actually told me to "be quiet" & said something like, "you listen to me, I am not a field person, I have never been a field person, the stuff field people do is not on my computer, so I don't want you talking about that sort of stuff." She previously told me not to "interject until I am done saying what I want to say." After a several minute lecture FROM her, I asked for a supervisor & was told one would call me back within 48 hours. It is not unusual to be on the phone for hours trying to resolve something, unless of course you get repeated dropped calls from them, which is not unusual either.

Comcast, incomplete installation, no call no show for appointments

We called for installation on Friday. Tech showed up and had no idea what he was doing, he spent 5 hours here then said he would be back at 10am the next day to finish. At 11:30 Saturday he was a no show, so we began to contact him on his cell. He said he was sent to another job first but would be here after. We asked for him to have his supervisor call us, and he never did. Tech called back and said he would be back at 3 pm. At 4:30 he was still a no show so we called Comcast. Comcast set an appointment for a tech to be out at 10 am the next morning. On Sunday at 11 am we still did not have a tech. We called Comcast and they said they would have a dispatch supervisor call us. No one called. They set up an appointment for Wednesday at 1-3 pm. She said they could not escalate my claim and do it sooner because I needed to call the first night my installation wasn't finished, not a few days later so that is the soonest she can get a service call. I called Monday and spoke to someone who escalated my claim after I said I wanted to cancel installation and have them remove and reinstall all of the other services they took down. They of course apologized for my inconvenience and told me they were so sorry for my problems (every single one said the exact same line) but dispatch would call me to get someone out today and finish the installation. I told them I am cancelling service today if it is not finished today. They told me dispatch would call in less than 30 minutes to set up a time. 2 hours later I still had not received a call so I called back. I spent over an hour on the phone and was told someone would be out here today, they put me on hold and talked to dispatch and they would call me within the hour to let me know what time someone will be here today. 2 hours later I had not heard back. I called again and provided my case number. I was told, he could see the notes and the two messages sent to dispatch asking for immediate assistance and request that someone comes to the house today. They told me they don't know what happened because they are looking over the notes and dispatch has complete notes to contact me today but they would not only send back out to dispatch but call me personally between 4-5 pm to be sure I had been contacted and they were coming out today. 5:30 pm No call no show by dispatch. No call, no show by comcast service to see if they had contacted me. Call comcast to cancel installation and I am told to call back tomorrow because that office is only open until 5 pm
