Comcast Bate & Switch

I called Comcast to see what could be done about my monthly bill - its up to $171 - for the basic, Triple Play. The customer rep Roel on the "Online Chat" venue, was very friendly, and asked if I could wait a few minutes while pulled my account and checked available deals. After quite some time, he returned stating he had found a Triple Play deal for $99/mo + $7/mo equipment, charge for a year and asked if that would be OK? I said yes, and asked what needed to be done to sign up. He said nothing, that he could take care of it in a few minutes, would I like to wait? So, as I waited - again for quite awhile - he processed the order. He then came back on line and said he had something to tell me. That when he went to sign me up, he had been told the deal was no longer available, but that there was another deal $104 +$7/mo. My response was no. That he had offered me a deal at a specific price, and that I had accepted. Anything different was Bate and Switch. There's an underlying principal of integrity, or lack thereof. Cable companies are notorious for nickel and diming their customers, and this was no different. He made me an offer, I accepted and then he rescinded - offering me a new, more expensive deal.

Seems to be a part of their "productivity" improvement in the Online Customer Service Dept.

Same thing happened when we tried to order the triple play.....told me the offer had expired at the same time I was reading the offer on the Comcast Website. It even said that the offer would expire....two weeks from the day I was talking to them.

Do yourself a favor and take your bill to the local Comcast Xfinity Store and they will not only honor the deal that you paid for but will give you a store discount. It seems that all the online offers can be beat by store offers and the CS people in the stores are great to work with, aren't trying to scam people.

Told by Comcast's lobbyist that I'm getting ripped off.

I was at a conference in Chicago and had a beer at a bar. Sitting next to me was the Comcast lobbyist for my region, who just so happened to fly the State Representative of my district out so he could go to a cable company conference as her guest, on Comcast's dime. Everything was on the lobbyiest even my food and drink, which was nice. The most interesting part of the night is when she told me that I was getting ripped off by my deal with Comcast. She gave me her card and told me to call or email her when I got back to the Seattle area but she never returned my messages. My internet goes out at least once a day. My cable was out on Thanksgiving during my football teams last game with their rival of 118 years. I was told that they would keep my rate low b/c the infrastructure in my area was bad (didn't do good due diligence before acquirement a company in the area). They continued to raise my rate anyway even to $202 a month last month and I only had the second tier service. Even they couldn't explain it to me. Yeahhhhh Comcast.....you are about to loose this customer that you've had for 12 years but I realize it's falling on ears that don't care.

It's worse being an employee of CONcast. They fired us after we complained about a supervisor sending emails telling us to work off the clock without pay. We won a class action lawsuit.

Comcast Has NO Customer Service!!!!

Let's get over the fact that Comcast service is mediocre at best. It has been over a year now that Comcast customer service can't even get my home address correct. Ironically enough, their Accounting department has no problem cashing my check each month so it seems they have it down just fine. As a result, they have created 3 different ficticious accounts and counting, creating erroneous charges including cable boxes I don't have and stating I need service calls to fix my equipment even though my equipment works just fine. Each time I'm on the phone for an hour plus going through the managers to get to a supervisor (which they never want to get on the phone) to correct having no service for a day at a time and ultimately, erase the accounts they made up!!!! This month alone I have spoken to 8, yes count it 8 supervisors alone. All who have promised that the issue is resolved, who don't take the time to go through the logs to actually take care of the problem, which they created in the first place!!!! It is amazing they are still in business.

Comcast has a monapoly in my area, they never resolved problems, they have the worst customer "represntatives" of any telecommunication company. They don't care about customer service at all, don't know why they call them that. if you want poor service and poor customer servide= go with comcast. they just dont care, because they have a monopoly. They cancel appointements even after you verify them and when you call, the customer representatives tell you the computer did it, the cable boxes are antiquated I'm always having technical problems which of course they cannot fix over the phone, you make an appointment and they don't show up, you call and the "computer" cancel it, on and on the merry go round goes on. No one ever calls back, they suck and they don't care. bottom line, Poor cable service, poor customer service, no caring. and unfortunately I have 9 more months on my contract.

Comcast sucks they continue to bill me after they recieved there equipment

I have been very disapointed from install day when i verry specifically asked for the install to be wall fishes through my unfinished basement they send jo so and so (not there tec) out and they wont even wire the house i call customer care again explaining after the 4th jo came out i finally did it my self over the corse of 1 year we changed out 6 dvrs and to cancellation date even after getting a brand new one it quit I call to cancel they say bring your boxes down and that will be it i did over the coures of two months i stall get bills over 340 now Because they cant get to the pole to put a filter in so i am being charged till that I call to do a business entity search to presue it in small clames they dont know what they are registered under so i cant even sue them thats bull and some one needs to be incontroll of them

Comcast in Meridian, Idaho - Cable tv keeps going out in the middle of night

getting very tired of cable tv going out in a regular basis. pay too much for such poor service. now nobody answers phone after 10:00pm, then when you finally get ahold of someone, they can't get anyone out to fix cable for a week. if this is the upgrade they keep talking about, it is really a downgrade. customer service representatives don't seem to care about the customers inconvenience or about crediting your account when you have been without service. recently the cable tv is going out more and more. i was also charged to have my cable reconnected after the neighbors pulled down some vines and pulled my connection out...not my fault, i shouldn't have been charged.

comcast (more like ***-cast) has to be the WORST internet, cable, phone company EVER! Their pathetic service is always going out and is too *** slow!

..Plus, they removed several basic cable channels, yet they increased the price!! WTF!!!! :( RIP OFF company!!! They don't care if you get good service, they just want their *** money!!

DO NOT go with COMCAST... Go with another service if you can!

Comcast are useless

My boyfriend has comcast and I live with him for many years, we agreed to disconnect it due to his extenuating circumstances and he does not want to deal with it. I went to comcast store and also called to disconnect, they ignored me simply because I was not on the account, they don't understand that I am member of household and pay the bills including comcast... they were rude, inconsiderate and horrible customer service. Should I accept that from I company that I paid services for?! I also reported that there is no cable services, it went out on me, they even didn't care to take a look at the problem and send a technician. I also returned the cable box to their store, they insisted that will keep charging for the overpriced cable just because I am not on the account. Can they understand that is NO thank you for bad customer service, and comcast disregard for the customer that pays for a service that I am not satisfied with?

I know Exactly how you feel...I have asked comcast to correct my security info about 8 times now since I started with them 4 years ago and not a phone call to CS, a fax to them, an email or going to the local center works...they are so incompetent its ridiculous...funny Eric would say your English is terrible in his reply post...he probably works for them...when you call comcast their recorded messages have serious accents and when you dial 1 to speak to someone in English...you get someone who has the heaviest accent imaginable and if they hint that you speak Spanish, will start talking to you in Spanish....I dialed 1 for ENGLISH!!!

Would you like it better if anyone could just call or come into the office, give your address, and make changes to your account just by saying they live there?? maybe your boyfriend should call and add you to the account? Oh, and your English is terrible.

My husband just got a call from comcast wanting us back. When he told her he didnt want her to go over her 9 minute limit, she said and I quote.... " I am not from customer service, I am from customer relations." Never denied the limit, so it must be true, but only for the poor saps in customer service!

Comcast in Mount Laurel, New Jersey - Comasters service the man i talked to about a trailer was mean and dis respectil.

on sat april 4 i went to the store to buy a trailer, 5x6 there was one on the lot. i took the paper out of the holder and went to customer service. the lady call some man, i think his name was doug. i told him that i wanted to buy this trailer, he stated that he does not have any in stock. i show him the paper and he stated that it was sold. the man was very disrespectful, and acted like he did not care. he would not even check if any other store had one. thanks
