Details
Comcast filed a collections action against my husband's credit report because we were "tied to the address of the account." He lived at that address 34 years ago with his ex-wife. His SS number is NOT tied to the account and because they don't want to do due diligence, we have to hire a lawyer! Horrible company with no clue what impact their negligence and false reporting can do! My husband has cancer and this error on their part is having horrible negative implications on us!

I have had Comcast for two years and I have had to call customer service 3 or 4 times. The majority of the reps have strong accents and you cannot understand them. Also, they are un-trained and have no idea what they are doing. I had to call four different times and speak with four different reps in order to get my phone line installed and working correctly! Without notifying me, Comcast decided they were switching packages and took five channels away from my package. When I called, I was informed I would now need to pay extra every month for these channels! Not to mention, I had to speak with 3 reps to accurately find out what was going on after the first rep mistakenly added the wrong package to my account! Are they not a billion dollar company making absurd profits already? They need to take more money from those who have less money than their big wigs do? It's ridiculous. When my contract ends, I will be terminating service!!

Charged for non existent service | Comcast in Port Ludlow, Washington

Your technician was NOT able to connect broadband up to my home (515 22nd ave, seattle wa 98122), but I was charged anyway. After several calls to comcast to get you to stop billing me for non existent service you finally stopped after about 5 months. Then you put a negative entry on my credit report...for an account that NEVER EXISTED.... I''ve filed a complaint with the FCC and local BBB as well as all 3 credit agencies.... I would be nice if Comcast would do the right thing and remove the negative entry on my credit....once again for service that you NEVER PROVIDED..... I have no idea what my comcast account number is since I've not had service at this address EVER.... my phone number is 512.569.4895...please call if you want try and undo the damage you've already done to me....

I was told by a customer service rep from one of xfinity's lobby locations that my promo was about to expire. She suggested i call retention to get another promo before they increase my bill. To my surprise when i received my bill the increase was already added to the bill. I went from paying $168.00 to $210.00.I could not believe the customer service from that department. I spoke with two different people on different days and they act like they were robots. It was like they were reading a sarrivalcript. I told them i was looking for something cheaper and they kept offering me something higher. One told me one thing and the other something else and when questioned about it said that there was some misunderstanding. I was over talked by one rep. She was more eager for me to close my account instead of assisting me. Long story short, i spent over 45 minutes on the phone and was given a promo that i do not like. It was strange that she was able to quote me a price when it was more than i could afford, but was not able to tell me how much my bill would be with the cheaper price. She claim that the reason was because of my location the taxes are different. I have been with Xfinity for over 10 years and had never received this type of service. I'm now in the process of looking for another cable service. I use to defend the company, but from what i have experienced i can no longer do that.

I am in the same process as you. When I told Comcast I was no longer going to have their service they said I had a contract that I would be charged a penalty.

The contract expired in October 2013. LIKE YOU i have been a customer since 2011

The cost has continually increased Dec 2015 my bill was $162 now January 2016 its $170 way too much for an 83 year old

Getting an audio "skip" every 10-12 seconds. Also, my I-Phone Comcast email password has to be re-entered every 2-3 days. Is this normal? I would hope not! (I am dropping Comcast/Xfinity/the Dark Side this week. Uck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had account with aldelphia and filled chapter 13 in 2005. They did not show up at BR procedings. In 2099 I called to get cable and made sure to as 3 times if that was going to come back to haunt me!!!!! I was assured it would not. 3 months later they came back and jerked all equiptment out. Every time I paid the put it on the OLDBILL. They had it planed because they never even buried the wire. It is in my exs name now but they still give me a hard time he had a code which I know , I am sick off it. i am on Disability and it is still on my credit.

Comcast absulutly sucks !! Sincebi moved into my house in CT there has been problems ever since.. They disconnected me 2 weeks after getting connected!! They claimed i wasbover due on my account.. Brand new, first time connection how can i be over due in 2 weeks.. Then they charge a disconnection fee AND a reconnect fee. I have been in my new home for about a year and they have been disconnecting me every 3 weeks ...at every 3 weeks. I even paid rhe over due amount volunterally a few time to clean the slate .. Same thing.... 3 weeks later ....yeaap !! Disconnected again ... I hope they dont disconnect my cell phone!! I dont even have cell service with them ..haha. I have delt with 50 agents and a handfull of supervisors. They are NO Help!! Waste of time!! This account is unexsplainable..so is the service!! I have had it !!!

COMCAST rip off

This company rips off it's customers, I don't own an HD tv yet every month for 4 years am charged an HD technology fee of $10. I've called multiple times to complain spending hours on the phone, and using minutes that I PAY for, only to be told if I don't keep the HD digital boxes, I can't access ON DEMAND. Which is also a service I PAY for. Now I call again and find out they DO have a non HD box, that will allow me to access the services I pay for without being ripped off for an HD technology fee I have no use for. So basically Comcast/Xfinity stole $10. a month for the last 4 years. Now they are supposed to be sending me the 1 free box, and 2 charged for additional boxes that I should have had to start with at no extra cost, but I just got the e.mail telling me I will be charged monthly for 4 additional outlets PLUS a DVR that I never asked for, don't want, and don't need. So they finally after 4 years did away with the $10. fee I never should have paid, but then tried to charge me $10. each for 2 boxes I have no need of, and another $10. for a DVR. I didn't order, or want any of this equipment but they want to charge me $30. a month for it. THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! BEWARE, Check everything, stay on top of your account, and AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!

I called a week or so to make changes on my account with Comcast. Originally my husband was calling to cancel services. Tye answered our call and boy did we get a HUGE surprise. Instantly my husband put on a smile, within a minute or so I actually heard laughter, I walked into the room assuming he was watching TV a comedy or something. NOPE he was talking still to Comcast. This was such a treat, Tye was very honest infact there were a couple of questions my husband asked Tye said " I am not sure but I WILL get the correct answer for you" she then put him on hold a minute or so. Long story short we got bundled into a quad play, Who knew how much we really did NEED a security system. So, this employee really cares and is efficient. We set up a call back for both my mom and a coworker of mine, They were dish customers, After hearing about our experience we ALL are diehard Comcast customers. Thank you so much Tye!!
