Comcast in Denver, Colorado - Most Shady Company in the World

Comcast is the worst business in this world. Don't EVER do business with them. We got their internet service (only because barely any other services are available in our area)... I was dreading it but we needed the internet. We set it up ourselves and it worked fine for the first 2 weeks. All the sudden it stopped working for no reason. We called someone to come out here and they didn't tell us it would cost a dime. After waiting a week for them to send someone out, my boyfriend waited at home all day from the 8am-11pm timeframe they gave us. They showed up an hour after; he obviously was out running errands after sitting all day waiting for them. We had to call to reschedule. Another 5 days went by before they could someone out for a second time. They ended up fixing the internet.... However they screwed up our TV (DirectTV who is awesome!) and WE had to end up paying DirectTV to come out here to fix what Comcast screwed up. We cancelled our service with Comcast before our month was even up and I was told by not one, but two different (surprisingly nice and helpful) customer service representatives that they were sorry for our trouble, "it sounds terrible" and that we wouldn't be charged anything for the service. What a joke. They ended up sending us to collections for $94.76. My boyfriend paid it so it wouldn't hurt his credit. I called and spoke with Comcast and THE RUDEST person was "helping me" and told me that it "didn't matter what the other people had told me and this is the way it is." Now looking through the bill I'm also seeing some *** "Failed CHSI Sik" charge for $99.99. ... Which would mean what, exactly, Comcast?? The most ***, shady company in the industry. We hate them so much that we literally would rather not have the internet at all than work with Comcast. And in this day in age you can imagine how tough that is. But I refuse to give that miserable place another penny. Don't ever do business with them. The only reason they are still in business is because there are not many other options out there. Just remember Comcast, Karma is a ***. Can't wait to see you slowly fail. Sorry for the rant but I'm pissed.

Comcast in Denver, Colorado - Unrepentant dishonesty

1.0
Details
Beginning with my signing up for an account in August of 2014, I proceeded to pay for three months of HDTV, DVR, and several channels that never worked. After several attempts to resolve this with communications through both online chats and phone calls, my issue was finally resolved after they agreed to send out a tech to investigate my issue. Once the tech arrived, he proceeded to perform the same diagnostic checks that the original installer had done to no avail. Once completed, this tech eventually checked the connection on the back of my house and found an archaic filter attached to my connection cable. I had been billed, at this point, for 3 months of services I never received. After this semi-competent tech repaired the outdated lines on my home, all was fine for several months. After this issue was resolved, the billing nightmare began. My bills began to reflect payment dates that apparently had no bearing or connection to reality. I was told that my next bill was not due until the normal time of the following month, yet my service was cut off on 3/30/2015. I called in and paid the required "past due balance," and my service was restored. I returned home from work on 3/31/2015 to my television and internet not working again. I called in and was told I was required to pay another ~$30.00 charge, and could not be told why. I could even expect to pay the superfluous "reactivation fee" that I was told I would have to pay on my next bill, but to have to pay two days in a row? Comcast operates under the same tactics as a classic monopoly, and answers to no one. The hoops they require an everyday consumer to pay just for the privilege of watching television is absurd, and I am still paying for their nonsensical package that includes a home phone, despite the fact that one under the age of 94 still uses a land-line.

I guess Comcast has rights on any modem bought and sold through other vendors. I returned their leased modem 2 years ago, purchased a new one from Best buy and was fine for over a year. I received a letter from Comcast this past August saying they were going to...

Such a long message. You got things straightened out?

.

I had an almost exact situation, but this went on for almost 1 1/2 years. They were charging me for my own moden after I turned in my rented one!

.

I's suggest to ANYONE, to find the local Comcast service center, and go there with your equip/bill. They are friendly people and there to help their customers.

(No I DO NOT work for Comcast).

. I went to the local service center (about 15 miles away), and they did straighten out the situation.

They even went back 3 months of the renatl fee. I blame myself, I should have checked.

Comcast in Denver, Colorado - Unbelievably bad

Where to start? They billed me for hundreds of dollars that I didn't owe for calling information on our phone (which we never use) but after months and months and hundreds of dollars finally gave up after unsuccessfully talking to dozens of people for hours and hours finally gave up (I now have my phone service with another company) I continue to have TV and Internet service with them as there is not yet a reasonable alternative but as soon as there is I am out of there. With the phone problem all I ever got was well the computer says you called so owe for it. One of the worst bureaucracies I have run into. I feel sorry for the employees as they are not empowered to help the customer. Virtually every month there are wrong and vague fees and fees for things they say they will not charge for. Last month must have been a dozen things. And their customer service is a joke. They have 1 800 number that is difficult to navigate through and after you've waited 15 or 20 minutes it will say no one is available and hang up on you!! I recently had a change to my service which was screwed up and spent hours and days trying to get a live person before giving up. (they finally fixed the problem on their own) This was despite paying an extra service fee for years. (If anybody knows about a class action lawsuit on this horrendous situation please let me know)

Comcast customer service=bend over with no lube

I literally talk to comcast more than I talk to my own mother. The only difference is that every time I leave disappointed. Its bad enough to provide terrible service, but dont tell me that you dont provide terrible service. Admit you suck, fix my problem, and then lets move on. The problem is that every time I have a problem with comcast and then try to fix it, I end up more upset with them than when I originally got my problem. Who knew that having internet that doesnt work is actually the happiest way you can have internet service. *** you comcast and every single person in your customer service department, you all suck.

Comcast New Service

We recently moved to a new state and Comcast is the only company who offers both internet and cable, so we went with them. I ordered the packaged online but what I received was NOT what I ordered. First of all they only sent 1 box, not the DVR which was originally included in the package. When I tried to connect service, nothing worked. Not the cable nor the internet. I called and they said they had to send a technician, it would be 2 weeks before a tech could come out. This took FIFTEEN phone calls. 1-5, FIFTEEN. The tech comes out, activates 2 connections (was supposed to be 3) and says nowhere on my account was I supposed to receive a DVR. I couldn't deal with it at the time and decided to take the weekend to just let it rest. Monday rolls around and there ensues an additional FIVE (5) reps and a 2 hour and 10 minute call. The previous supervisor I had spoken to said we would be credited a full month of service (Rita Robertson) well the credit was NOT noted on the account. Future supervisors said I had to contact Rita directly to find out where the credit was but, get this, they do not know how to contact Rita...How can I possibly contact her then?? Mysterious. At the end of the 5 person call I was connected with Stan in Customer Retention who assures me my account is now squared away (without the credits of course) but I have no way of knowing if this is true until the first bill comes. I have no idea what to expect. I still do not have a DVR, although I am being charged for it, I do not even know what package I have because everything got so convoluted, I have the wrong internet speed, and mounting charges for mysterious shipping and tech visit... I could never, in good conscience, recommend Comcast to ANYONE, ever. My frustration level is comical at this point. All of this to PAY for a service. This isn't free, I am paying for this aggravation. I'm starting to feel like a *** because I'm actually doing this to myself for some cable and internet. IF I receive the first bill and it is not as I was promised I will go with someone else because I do not have the time or intestinal fortitude to continue with this bizarre charade Comcast calls customer service.

I recently switched my service from one address to another. Shouldn't be so complicated right?

I still cannot access my account online. I have been in the office 4 different times, called 3 different times only to be hung up on once. Some other persons phone number on my account. Seriously, does the right hand know what the left hand is doing?

And for godsake, does anyone speak english? So fed up!

Comcast in Denver, Colorado - I hate this company!

My internet has bee up and down hundreds of times over the last five months. Comcast told me to buy a new modem and it still doesn't work. They rerouted a cable and left it sprawled across my yard for the last two months in an attempt to fix the problem, but it still dsn't work. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM!! I am in jeopardy of losing my job because I need to work from ho!me. I was just left on indefinite hold and after van hour, was hung up on. Worst customer service ever! I hate that I am stuck with them.

Worst experience paying comcast bill ever

Comcast recently changed their bill paying routine. Used to be, you would get the information about past due amounts/service interruptions fairly quickly when calling into to customer service, through their automated csr. This worked well and one could quickly pay your bill and the service was back up in seconds. Yesterday, I made the mistake of actually getting to a live person and that's when the problems started. After getting drilled by the human for more information than I cared to discuss I had her transfer me to the automated system so I could pay my past due amount and avoid the additional $5. She transferred me to another human. After asking for the automated system again, the system was no longer recognizing my customer info, so I hung up. When calling back I got the automated system and made my payment and thought all was good. Cable would be up shortly and internet was never out. After about 10 minutes, I called back and the said that they would ping the cable. That's when the internet went out and cable was up. Not good. So after about 20 minutes during which I unplugged the modem a couple of times, I decided to fill out the comcast info on the default internet page. This brought down both internet and cable. The default comcast page started timers 10 mins for the internet to come up and 45 minutes for the cable to be up. Yeesh! We went to dinner. Came back to find internet was fine but cable had to be customized again. We had to set up favorites and recordings all over again. Gotta think that human error malicious or not was in involved in the ordeal. So next time I call, and get a human, I'm hanging up immediately and call back and use the automated system directly.

Comcast Sucks

When I moved into my apartment, in June, I was persuaded to go with Comcast internet and cable. Little did I know what a mistake that would prove to be. They came and installed my cable and internet, no problems yet. Then I called to add On Demand to my service, issues start to arise. A Comcast employee was trying to fix someone else issues in the building and managed to unhook my cable. Then I called about a wireless modem, when that finally arrives I realized they charged me a $49.99 install fee, which I would have been ok with if someone was here to hook it up. In my first week of service with Comcast I had to call them at least 5 times in the course of a week. Not including calls to restart my router. I have had numerous issues with them and today my internet connection was spotty, and I am not even using my modem we are talking hardwire into the router. I called and just cancelled my service then they proceeded to insult me by calling me she when I am clearly a guy. Either have Comcast and pray you never have issues or just get rid of your services with them.
