Comcast over billing

In November I had serious problems getting phone service and Internet service. Both were intermittent and just unreliable. I called Comcast and they said they would lower my bill. Since I did not have phone service that month and irregular Internet I was given the month free. Later I became subject to a virus that was interfering with my laptop shutting down. This virus was traced back to Comcast. Comcast's techs agreed this was their fault and offered to remove this for me at no charge. I was charged anyway. Furthermore I was told the rep who lowered my bill due to having no phone service did not have the authority to do so and I would have to pay the bill in full. The charge for the virus was removed. So now I have to pay 2 months bills, this is hard on me since I am a disabled man, my vision and hearing are compromised. lost sound in certain channels so placed service call. guy came out to fix and changed receiver. got sound back. 2 months later, sound was lost on same channels so placed another service call. since could not be helped over phone, so scheduled person to come out again. all they did was do something to remote. was surprised that i received a $27.99 service charge for that, being that lady over the phone could not help me with fixing remote so she made appt. for me. called comcast and CSR by the name of Gabriel, with a heavy accent was rude and un willing to help me. AND he raised his voice at me, so i just let him know ok will pay the charge BUT will cancel my cable and internet service by this Saturday and I hung up. As soon as i hung up the phone, i went online and purchased a converter box!

Comcast in San Francisco, California - Day 12 - No Service

Like many others affected by hurricane ike, I have been without cable and internet for 12 day's, even though I have had power since 09/13. I have had enough of Comcast and their lack of information. I just would appreciate a little bit of information. This morning, at 9:00 a.m., I returned 3 of the converter boxes back to my local Comcast office and cancled the service (switching to AT&T Uverse). There was a line that was outside of the facility and down the sidewalk with people just like me. Maybe they will begin to understand how poor service and lack of comunication leads to loss of business.

I'm doing the same in regarsd to Tv service, unfortunately Comcast is the ONLY broadband option for me... and it's really starting to irk me.

We're 18 days without service...and all their 'engineers' etc that are supposedly working in the area, are apparently invisible.
