Comcast did contact me in this one, but their response is disappointing, they said the advertised speed is for direct wire connection, and not guaranteed for wireless... First of all, when I was signing up for internet service, the rep on the other end of the line...

Comcast in Santa Maria, California - Internet data usage plan

This plan doesn't explain enough. Does it effect downloading and/ or watching a movie? How about watching watching on movies on iPad or iPhone? Even on television? What about emails sending pictures? What is the amount one will gave to pay to receive this plan? Outside interference will one have to put up with!! Last time someone look at my connection what was found was 3th party router!! Is this going to really fix a problem or just add more to it?? How will this make the internet system secured?? Wouldn't it be better to add an app. To iPhone and iPads???

At midnight 09/14/16 Comcast changed the WAN address from 24.10.21.182 to 24.10.18.114. As a result the cable modem was forced OFFLINE until about 3 AM, back online for only several minutes and finally back to normal at 6:08 AM on 09-15-16. About 6 hours of service was lost. Their assertion that they provide 99.99% reliability was not in place during these six hours. As a result of the address change all the port forwarding and VPN addresses that are referenced in our book marks had to changed to the new WAN address prefix. This is about 100 changes made in more than 10 computers. Before this morning, the entire network (cable modem, router and switches, customer owned) worked perfectly until Comcast made a WAN address change.

Comcast in Sacramento, California - 2 Days of No Internet Service (Outages)

Today is Sun. July 24th 2016 at 2:30 am. My internet just came back on after a reset. It's been off since Friday 1:24 am. I called the local Comcast number and stated to the digital non-human voice that it was internet connection problem (after it told me that my phone number is associated with my address). Immediately I was told that there were outages in my area and the service should be on by 5 am. Later that day no service and their phone now answers with "the number you've dialed cannot be reached at this time." After 3 attempts I use my cell phone to google an 800 number for Comcast. I am told that there are outages in my area. Saturday - same thing. Sunday - same thing until around 12 midnight. I called the original number I had for Comcast getting a live person who promptly tells me there haven't been an outage since the 22nd. Say What?? I informed her that the automated voice reported there were outages for 3 days. What I wanted to know was how will my bill be adjusted for lack of service. The live person again tells me there was no outages listed. So is the digital voice programmed to tell us what's convenient or is the live people who the call center is farmed out to not getting the information? You can bet I'm not a happy camper and I plan on changing from the company. I feel like it's a breach of contract on their part.

You router and address that are on I found that since I change password that I get more and more direct tv!! I did take pictures of this to show Comcast not of what should not be there. To show you that other companies are using your internet system. Why is it doesn't direct tv gave their own internet system. And to show others at the same time. My Comcast connection goes in and out literally several times an hour for 1 - 10 minutes on a bad day. Disrupts work and is really aggravating. The connections are checked, the wifi is fine, it's the actual Internet that disappears. No solution from Comcast though the tech support guy gamely tried one time to troubleshoot. I'm paying for very high speed, and am in the Bay Area, and so expect *some* reasonable reliability. Interestingly I haven't had any rude or abusive customer service reps, just *** Internet. Has anybody else had this problem?

Leaving Comcast after six years—happily

When I first had Comcast Business service installed, there were a few issues with the dedicated IP addresses, but otherwise the connection was fast and reliable. The charges have risen by less than 10% without explanation or reply to my inquiries. Each month I get something in the mail asking that I contact them for any needs, but apparently if those needs fail to increase my bill, there's no point in returning my calls. Recently the modem has been going off-line more than once a week. Typically, this can be corrected by cycling power, but not always. When I have to call the company to reset the modem from the main office, they can do it. Each time I complain about this annoyance, I get the line that I could avoid these issues by upgrading—adding cost. American businesses have wandered a long way from their public relations roots, but this chutzpah is more than I can bear. They will not replace the modem because they claim that the service I got six years ago ($85/mo. is too cheap) is no longer offered so they do not feel obligated to fix it. Fortunately, there are alternatives to their once monopoly in San Francisco. I have submitted a complaint to the California AG. I don't expect much.

Comcast sucks

What's up with COMCAST? I pay nearly 200.00 a month for internet and TV Streaming. However, over the last 7 days...ain't getting any satisfaction and TV Streaming!!!!!!!!!!!! I only get some error message, no customer service after EST business hours or an outsourced non-american representative attempting to understand Comcast's inability to provide what I'm paying for?? Don't you think that all of us American's should get a credit for everyday that Comcast can't meet their contract obligations!!! ***...if I don't my bill they cut me off...is it unreasonable to expect the same professional courtesy...! Or is Comcast allowed to screw us over for when they are incapable of meeting their responsibilities?
