Comcast in Los Angeles, California - Extremely Poor Standard Definition Cable TV

Comcast's standard definition TV signal quality is the worst I've ever seen. I just moved here from California and find the state of Washington still living in the electronic stone age. In terms of high quality fiber optic TV and Internet services normally available across the nation, Washington shows up as the black hole in the upper left corner of the map. I recently found, for $15 from Home Depot, an HDTV Antenna that pulls in far better quality images, including a number of HD channels, into crystal clarity, for ZERO DOLLARS a month. Not as many channels, mind you, but MUCH BETTER QUALITY than Comcast has been able to deliver in all their years in business. Get a clue, Washington and Comcast. You need a change of management in this state.

Comcast over billing

In November I had serious problems getting phone service and Internet service. Both were intermittent and just unreliable. I called Comcast and they said they would lower my bill. Since I did not have phone service that month and irregular Internet I was given the month free. Later I became subject to a virus that was interfering with my laptop shutting down. This virus was traced back to Comcast. Comcast's techs agreed this was their fault and offered to remove this for me at no charge. I was charged anyway. Furthermore I was told the rep who lowered my bill due to having no phone service did not have the authority to do so and I would have to pay the bill in full. The charge for the virus was removed. So now I have to pay 2 months bills, this is hard on me since I am a disabled man, my vision and hearing are compromised. Comcast in Sacramento, California - My refund and BAD service!!!

I am sick of Comcast!!! I have been dealing with them for 2 months now about a refund that I was supposed to get. Just today alone I have been disconnected or hung up on 6 times. That's right 6 times!!!!!!! I finally got to a person that would help me and said that I would get a call back in an hour. I never got one so I called back then they said they were closed. That is just one day of 2 full months of disaster. I was supposed to get the refund because of bad service. Now I am having bad service getting the refund. I was moving and they disconnected my service twice too early then they disconnected my internet and then lost my phone number, who looses a phone number.?! In a nut shell there service sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beware the Comcast $50 Service Charge

Recently, the comcast switch outside my condominium failed, and I lost internet access for 1 week. When the techncian showed up he wanted to talk about my television service. After telling him multiple times that the televisions were working fine, and after showing him as much. He then stated, you may want to replace the cables to the television, becuase sometimes they go bad. Recognizing instantly that he was trying to foist the $50 service fee from me, I told him, "Please don't worry about the cable television, just fix my internet". He finally plugged a device into the cable running to the internet modem. He discovered there was no signal available. He then went outside, where he spent an hour troubleshooting the problem, and getting into a verbal confrontation with the property manager. After returning, he stated to me, the network signal box outside had failed, and that a comcast network person would have to come out to replace it. I said ok. He then stated, I made you a television cable anyway, so you can replace the cables. Comcast then attempted to charge me $50 as though the problem I was experiencing had something to do with my inside cable or equipment. I don;t use their equipment, and he didn't make any repairs inside my home. However becuase he handed me a cable they are trying to call it a repair. This company has stooped to the lowest levels in an effort to generate revenue, and it is very sad. I am going to switch my service over to another provider as soon as I get my money back from these thieves.

I too just ended a call from a customer service representative from Mexico. I had difficulty understanding and that's frustrating.

I am not a satisfied customer and am attempting to pry-off the talon's of this company.

I cancelled service and they continue to make monthly charges. Signed, Red, White & Blue!

Its been like months i been lagging do to the internet i even switch the modem had to go over there and get a new one because they wouldn't bring it or else they charge me, Contact a technician online they always tell you the same *** and to restart the modem but the problem is not the modem or my pc is their freaking cable they refuse to replace because they said we already had one install but supposedly i think their suppose to replace everything every time you move or set up a new connection in a new place. Been months and still not fix my ping goes high every few secs and internet just starts to lag and stuff. So whats the point of high speed internet paying for all this *** that doesn't work properly like it support to.

Yo i have the exact same problem everything you just said in games my ping goes hella high and i have high speed internet i contacted a technician like 5 times still nothing. I even replace my modem and had to go get it or they'll charge me nothing worked this is ***!

thats because comcast is a shared network. everyone in your area is on the same coax.

the more modems on that coax the slower you go. plus your modem will drop too. why don't people get it! go with the phone co.

at least your on a dedicated two wire circuit. no one else is on it.

i know. been working for the telco for 30 years

Comcast in Yorba Linda, California - Three weeks!

Ok so it took Comcast three weeks to finally come and install my cable and Internet. They canceled on my twice without telling me and I was waiting the first time for them (morning wasted!). It's so annoying because the third time they ended up changing the time to 2-4pm and I waited and agian nothing! So finally wedsenday hopefully they get it together if not I am switching this is to much of a head ach and I haven't even started. Three time in three weeks it's so annoying because they can't provide the service they promote.

Same here, what a nightmare....every time you call you get different message, how can any business be so bad and still be in business? They are not helpful in resolving anything.

First experience with Comcast moving here from out of state. Not happy at all.

Comcast Stress

Starting off Comcast made things ridiculously stressful. The cable box didn't work at first, the techs were nice and helpful, but in the end it was a technical issue on their end that made this ordeal last two full days. I can't describe the frustration over how much time was wasted and thoughts of cancelling cable and just having internet. Now it is billing issues. Have had Comcast two months, the first online automatic bill pay went through while the second was reversed. They wanted to charge me $25 for this. The only reason I found out that my bill was reversed was after several unknown calls coming in 2-3 times a day. The automated messages gave no information, and half the calls had the number chopped. When i had tried to answer my phone I would get an automated message to call a number, no other information, so I didn't waste my energy thinking they were soliciting or something annoying of that sort. Finally, getting irritated I picked up and was shocked when a human responded. She had no explanation over the 2-3 calls a day or the automated voice messages. To pay the $82.63 I hadn't even known I owed there would be a fee. Why would I pay a fee when there should be no outstanding balance? Also, I am very concerned with my credit so all bills are paid in a timely manner. I paid the amount online and avoided the fee, however, after wasting a lot of time I still do not understand the odd amount due, but plan to have it addressed. Whatever might be the case, Comcast has a lot of technical issues that need to be fixed. Given the choice I would switch to another cable/internet provider if that were possible. As it is I am tempted to cancel cable since it is not necessary and I do not like the idea of paying a company not providing proper customer service. What has happened to the days when customer satisfaction actually mattered?

Comcast says something is done on chat, then tells you over the phone that it is not possible.

So much for "customer Guarantee" so after spending much time online, and on the phone, your company refuses to honor what they promised. (everytime I called or chatted, my account info was verified) When I called I was told that the internet deal was online only, and I had to go online to complete, which I did. The only problem was that they where unable to remove the installation fee, and that I needed to call to have it removed. when I called, I spoke with a very rude Micheal, who told me that he could not remove the fee, and that I was not eligible for that offer. He continued to be very rude the entire call, refusing to let me finish speaking, and refusing to honor what i was told was a done deal. I asked to speak with a manager (which i was told that Micheal was). Zach (supposedly a manager also) called me back (he tolk a SLIGHTLY better tone), but still refused to honor what the online chat told me was a done deal. Zach kept saying that 'The terms and conditions are the final word'. But would not admit that your costumer guarantee is BS. If a representative for comcast says something whether it be online or over the phone, I expect that the company would honor the deal that was promised, to me this is costumer guarantee. This issue has caused me to cancel ALL Comcast service completely.

I had a similar experience where I ordered a promotional deal online and was specifically told I could renew in 6 months. I saved the chat, and sure enough in 6 months they said sorry but the rep was mistaken and it didn't matter if I had the conversation in writing.
