On Oct 16 2019 I called 1 800-comcast to order their cable tv/internet/voice service. I was told the call was recorded.

I thanked the rep for this as it protects me as well as them. The rep said the install fee would be. waived after getting permission from a supervisor. When the first bill came it had an installation fee on it.

Since billing has only text support I texted the same story to the billing team stating I would pay for service but not install fee. The billing support person said any time there is a visit to the home a fee is charged. I advised that salesman said differently. They replied that the salesman had mis-communicated their policy.

I replied the salesman represents the co and is incentivized to get accounts to sign up therefore he waived the fee verbally knowing that the company would bill for it anyway. This is a criminal conspiracy and needs to be stopped.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $70.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Charging for "no-charge" service has ALWAYS been Comcast's mode of operation here on the West Coast too.
