Comcast in Spanaway, Washington - Can we make it thru at least 1 movie?

it seems as though Comxast has trouble letting us view a whole movie to the end on a regular basis. Service is disrupted at least 3 times a day for at least 15 minutes. This is during the day as well as prime time. Their customer sewrvice never offers to find the root cause and correct it. They are to big for their own pants. 3 more months and my contract is up...I won't be back. In fact they are in breach of contract for failing to prtovide the service they agreed to. Never had this problem prior to their digital programing.

Comcast in Gray, Tennessee - Terrible customer service

1.0
Details
While watching HLN tonight (01/01/2016) the channel went completely blank. It would not come back on so my wife called Comcast just to see if there was an outage or a problem with just this specific channel. After getting some foreigner who couldn't speak English, she told this person that all she wanted to know if there was a problem with this certain channel. She explained all the other channel's were working so please don't reset the box. The next thing we know, it goes out where she sent a hit to it. I spent 10 years with Comcast so I know more about these boxes that someone who doesn't even live in America and is reading a script. When my wife asked her why she sent a hit to the box, she hung up on my wife. This company rapes the living *** out of the public with their exorbitant price gouging and they have the most horrible customer service. Actually, they don't have ANY customer service. The only thing Brian Roberts (the owner of Comcast) cares about is his bank account. They don't care what kind of service you get because they know there the only cable company in the area and they can get away with screwing you.

Comcast - Worst Internet Service I Have Ever Had
I have lived in several second-world countries. The internet service there was faster and more reliable than Comcast/Xfinity in California. Comcast has a 1 star rating in Consumer Reviews - that's with over 1,000 respondents. My pingplot is consistently in the red....

Sitting in a hotel in Chicago that has Comcast Hotel internet, about 6:00 pm the internet speed slows to a crawl, too slow to even run a speed test. If I had this at home I'd probably chew my arm off. I have Cox at home and it runs rings around this.

Leaving Comcast after six years—happily

1.9
Details
When I first had Comcast Business service installed, there were a few issues with the dedicated IP addresses, but otherwise the connection was fast and reliable. The charges have risen by less than 10% without explanation or reply to my inquiries. Each month I get something in the mail asking that I contact them for any needs, but apparently if those needs fail to increase my bill, there's no point in returning my calls. Recently the modem has been going off-line more than once a week. Typically, this can be corrected by cycling power, but not always. When I have to call the company to reset the modem from the main office, they can do it. Each time I complain about this annoyance, I get the line that I could avoid these issues by upgrading—adding cost. American businesses have wandered a long way from their public relations roots, but this chutzpah is more than I can bear. They will not replace the modem because they claim that the service I got six years ago ($85/mo. is too cheap) is no longer offered so they do not feel obligated to fix it. Fortunately, there are alternatives to their once monopoly in San Francisco. I have submitted a complaint to the California AG. I don't expect much.

Comcast Internet Service Review

A tree is laying on comcast wires pulling them down 5 feet. Cable line laying in backyard. No service. Rude rep. Will not accept my calls now. Hole in garage roof cannot be repaired until resolved. Saying won't come til Sunday night. I can't get anyone to understand what the problem is so that they will come! I don't care about holiday. Why didn't they fix yesterday?

Comcast - Service Transfer Review from Howell, Michigan

Comcast likes to place you on hold forever, transfer you into transfer ***, provide customer service reps that script read every response who speak very poor English. When they say "we will get back to you in 24-48 hours" that is a lie! They don't get back to you ever. They hope to frustrate you enough that you pay their bill. Most people do because it's not worth the aggravation. Every collection they report CAN BE disputed. Write a form letter and prepare to fax it when they report you to 2 or 3 collection agencies. Report them to the BBB and FCC. They jump when they see that and surprisingly you actually get a legit response. Do NOT pay them because it's easier. Fight them! Save your receipts. Because undoubtably they will sometime in the future accuse you of keeping their boxes or remotes. Attach it to your complaints. You will spend less time reporting them than you will waiting on hold or waiting for them to correct a billing issue. STOP paying their "tech fees" when their tech being sent out is their fault and not yours. Switch providers when you can. If you can't, go about it the smart way by not falling into their trap. Good luck! I know the frustration and anger is very real. They are an awful company to deal with.

If you are not getting what you are paying for, then cancel them and go with another company. And, don't pay any cancellation fees as they are not providing the service you contracted for.

Thus, they are the ones who have failed to live up to the agreement. See if Charter is in your area. Much better than Comcast. A better solution, and cheaper is to drop the TV service and get just an internet connection and then stream, for free all the TV shows and movies you would want for free.

Do some research. Much cheaper that way.

Comcast and their bait and switch

2.5
Details
Renewed Comcast last year (after attempting to cancel) with the understanding that I would need to keep HBO for 6 months and Xfinity base cable package for 12 months, which ended December. When I called Comcast to cancel they wanted to charge me a $100 fee unless I keep my cable for 24 months. Although the representative was very nice, she stated there was nothing she could do. I stated, I never signed a contract, to which she replied it doesn't matter. I would have never agreed to these terms since I will be living in London in 2016. I learned an important lesson, don't trust Comcast.

File a complaint with the FCC for bad COMCAST service

If you're getting the runaround from COMCAST you can file a complaint with the FCC. Wish I had known this months ago. I've spent six months trying to get Comcast to fix a frequent, intermittent problem with internet service. I'm really tired of having to have a technician enter my home every time I call. A tech was out last week and again verified that the problem was at the pole. I called today and confirmed that maintenance did not come out like they were supposed to. So I asked if their technician could just verify that the signal was still bad and then escalate. Comcast told me that it was an FCC REGULATION that the technician must come inside my home every time. So I called the FCC, who said they are there to help and to file a complaint. And, by the way, the FCC has no such regulation.

Comcast - MOVER'S EDGE IS A LIE AND JOKE

I'm curious, yet I'm furious about something that happened to me over the weekend. I was blessed to close on my first built from the ground up home...yeah the american dream, well to make a long story short, I called XFINITY for the guaranteed mover edge Program, well this was a Monday, I was told that it takes a week for a new install, well the commercial was wrong, because it didn't mention anything like that, needless to say, my new house in which I've never slept in was broken into Christmas night. The house was ramsacked, stolen property, damaged doors. Although I have homeowner's, I feel so exposed. I'm suppose to receive the services today but I HATE XFINITY. After my break-in I called to get something by the end of the night, because essentially it was there fault, I spoke to 11+ reps, hung up on 3+ times, 1 call back, several lies, NO COMPENSATION, NOTHING, NOTHING, HELP HELP ME WHAT CAN I DO?

Comcast - Technical Support Review from Vallejo, California

2.5
Details
I've had the worse experience with Comcast customer service. They never arrive on time. They send service people that do not have repair knowledge. They are rude and lazy. One service person spent the entire time telling me how he can't install or provide the service advertised. One person was confrontational with my husband. I enjoy the tv service as long as there is absolutely no human interaction. I would lose my job if I performed like Comcast representatives.

I have always had good service from Comcast. I always assume they will be late because I have enough sense to know that many things can go wrong with technical applications, and trouble shooting can take some time.

Add to that the fact that you want your service as cheap as possible, which means they must pay their help as low as possible.

This means they have trouble finding qualified help.

This is the typical american mentality. You all want to shop at walmart, then you are stup1d enough to complain that there are no good paying jobs in america.
