Comcast - I feel sorry for the Customer Service Reps

Comcast sets themselves up for failure. All I wanted was the internet. I was going to do the self-install, but I only got two wires without the box. With seven o clock only half an hour away, I quickly tried to call the service center near me to pick one up. It took me 8 calls to figure out that they do not have a number for the service center!!! It is a SERVICE center!!!! The automated response system is awful. I only wanted a phone number but I started to get advice from a robot about how to plug in my box that never got to me. Oh, but they didn't forget to send a little notice about how I will be charged 10 dollars more if I don't switch to paper-free. I was finally met by an agent who gave me the exact same number I had just called. After spending an hour on the phone, they still could not switch me to paperfree. The service reps have absolutely no power and are there just to get screamed at. Anyways they were nice enough to waive the shipping and handling cost for the second box. If comcast didn't have reps ask for you information just after the robot did, i would have been so much better off. It took forever to get a simple thing done. I can't even imagine getting anything installed for me.

I do not like calling customer service to get someone I can't understand from a foreign county. Why doesn't Comcast hire within the U.S.

to service U.S. sales.

Details
Comcast deleted 11k of my emails. Assured me they were still on the server and would be no problem to restore them. After countless hours on the phone they didn't know why but they were deleted by Comcast and they are forever gone. I am really screwed now and Comcast does not care at all about this. Monopolies do what they do. Need regulation here is my feeling.

Comcast - Lowered My Plan

Due to the high price Comcast was billing me, over $200 a month I lowered my plan down to a manageable price I could handle. Since than I have virtually no screens! Even when I click on search and type in a movie I would like to watch I am automatically ask if I would like to Upgrade My Service. When I say no then I do not get to watch the movie! Some of these movies are very old! I clicked on the very first Dracula movie and was denied access! Regardless how old the movie is I do not get to watch! This is their way of trying to get customers to upgrade their service to a much higher plan. As soon as my two year contract expires I will definitely be leaving Comcast! Even when I lowered my bill I still received the higher bill. So after calling several times I finally got the correct bill. Then they charged me a reconnect charge because I refused to pay until I got the bill corrected.

Comcast - Snails are faster than this internet

Sitting in a hotel in Chicago trying to stream the Royals game, every night around 6 pm the internet slows to a crawl SO SLOW that you cannot even run a speed test. Hotel has Comcast Hotel ISP. The speed in the hotel is NOT the problem, it's with the ISP. If I had internet this slow at home I'd have chewed my arm off by now. My old dial up was faster than this. Since I'm not the actual customer I can only complain to the hotel management, but it's a national chain so I might as well call my dog and give her an earful. No wonder this is the most poorly rated corporation in the country.

On most days I'm averaging .67 Mbps and I'm ready to start gnawing on my arm. I've called at least 40 times, they rewired my home, changed out the modem twice and checked the remark. I've heard more stories and lies than I've heard in my whole life!!!

Comcast service failures for more than 4 months

Comcast keeps going into refresher or pops a statement "this is embarrassing". Technician or agents have lied about problems in the area. When I have called for help or resolve I am hung up on. I have had Geek Squad help 14 times since March and always it is a Comcast problem. The Comcast incidents have affected telephone service and TV problem. Comcast Technicians visited and replaced cables and the problem still exists. I was promised a $40 deduction in my May billing and instead the bill was increased $40. Your supervisors are of no assistance. You create new paperwork to cover your tails reporting that the increase is part of the bundle and that I had actually received a $174 .95 credit when the bill was $274.95 ; I may be 82 years old a 3 time veteran but I am not demented. I have the paperwork showing your scams.

Comcast - It works good for about 8 hours

Purchased an xfinity wifi hotspot week pass for roughly 20 dollars. payment cleared, I had fast internet for a few hours. Then I went to work, got home and when I tried to get on the net, it was trying to get me to pay more money. "I was like wait, I paid for a week pass, why pay more after not even 1 day?". So I call customer support, after about 2 hours of nonsense I finally got ahold of someone who said "that's unusual we will give you a refund." ok cool, things happen no big deal. WELL I'm in a situation were I don't have home internet, so I tried again. After all it's the best deal I'm not paying 10 dollars for 1 day that's ridiculous. Again same thing, rinse and repeat. about 5 tries later and 12 hours of my life spent on hold I say " It's not worth it". I upgrade my phone to a higher data limit so I can tether it. I fall asleep with my tether on and use 5 gig in one night (probably update downloads). I decide I can't win, and go back to xfinity, it looked liked they updated their site, so I was confident I would get my end of the agreement this time. Wrong. Same ***, my patience has run thin at this point, I paid a contract and xfinity did not honor their end of the agreement. Let me put it this way, since I have dealt with xfinity they have not honored their end of the agreement once... not even close. The xfinity hotspot access is a scam. It didn't function correctly from the start and the fat cats said "launch it anyways!" I would support xfinity if they would give me what I paid for, however they have not done that once since they have had my credit card number. Don't waste your time this is like a newborn baby who hasn't developed yet. Give it 10 years and it might be something, but right now it's just *** diapers. Don't waste your money on this pre-*** scam.

If you love having your internet go out at least once a week this provider is for you. I consistently have issues when the weather is perfectly sunny and clear. But don't call and ask them if there is an issue with service in your area because they will attempt to offer technical assistance at your house rather than checking to see if there's an outage in the area (true story).Meanwhile, I always have my 10 basic cable channels that they charge me for and the additional 10 dollar fee on top if my traditional bill for some mysterious fee. In comparison, this is the worst internet service I've ever had, hands down. And that is compared to ATT, Time Warner, and even other branches of Comcast in other states. Can I please get consistent service!
