I have not been a Comcast customer for several years, however, some of my neighbors are. There is a Comcast cable box attached to the side of my townhouse. On Tuesday, 2/1/11, strong winds blew the lid off the box and the lid is dangling from the cable box with a cable wire holding it up, posing a danger to anyone passing by. It is also banging loudly against the side of the building. I have pictures. On Saturday, 2/5/11, a Comcast technician was in the area. I asked him if he could put the lid back on and he just got in his truck and drove off. On Monday, 2/7/11, I called Comcast, explained the problem and requested they send someone out ASAP because of the possible danger. I was told a tech would be out on Wednesday. Late Wednesday afternoon I called Comcast to get a status of the technician. I was told a technician would not be out until 2/16/11. I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting on the phone for more than 20 minutes, I was told a manager would call me back. Today is Thursday, 2/10/11m 6:40 p.m. I have not received a call back. This is a dangerous situation and someone from Comcast needs to take responsibility for their equipment asap.

After all of that aggravation with Comcast and their "customer service" and their "professionals" WHY do you STILL HAVE A COMCAST BOX ON YOUR HOME?? You don't have their *** service (thankfully) and I'm guessing they aren't paying you anything for allowing them the use of your townhouse for their equipment?? Believe me, if Comcast could come up with a fee for it, they would be charging YOU for that box...

So WHY is that box still on your townhouse again???

Was looking to switch to Comcast

I called looked to switch from Dish and briefly spoke to a representative. After less than two minutes on the phones she asked me to hold. While I was on hold for more than ten minutes without her at least telling my why I was on hold. I got nothing but the hold music for over ten minutes. Before I talked to anyone I got a automated message as me to answer a survey about the service. I said yes as I always do to surveys because I am easy to please and I always leave good feedback. A few hours after my call I got the call from the survey and gave my first bad review leaving all ones thinking someone would call back and so that there is some form of customer service there or that Comcast at least values customer feedback. But I got nothing that was the end of it, the only thing I got out of my experience with Comcast was they don't value potential customer which makes me believe they think even less of there current ones.

Comcast Does Not Honor Contracts

Comcast Will Not Honor Their Orignal Sales Contract at a Fixed Rate And Try to Add on Aditional Charges, When Asked About This They Their Agents First Swore Up & Down That It Was Just the Taxes & When I showed Them Specifically Where the Error Was in My Bill & In My Monthly Pricing Plan Then They Put Me On Hold Only to Come Bac with the Idea That it Was Then That They Raised the Price of My Modem And That Was Not Covered Under My Monthly Charges, But My Sales Agreement Says Otherwise And Does Cover & Include Inrternest, So That Just Doesn't Hold Up. Service Has Been Lousey, No One Ever Answers the Phone or Gets You to the Proper Departments. They No Longer Reply to My E-Mails, I Have Had 2 Cable Boxes Stop Working On Me in the 4 Months That I Have Only Just Had the Service, Their Personal Sales Representive in My Neighborhood Is Absolutely Worthless, Does Nothing for Me That He Promised, Nor Does He Even Answer or Respond to My Calls Half the Time, and When He Does, He Just Tells Me I'll Have to Call Comcast About That. Absolutely Worthless & the Bundles Are Nothing More Than ... Lies & Complete Scams !!!

Comcast in Jonesboro, Georgia - Promised new package included a program with equal cable speed

Comcast agent promised that a reduced cost plan included one premium channel. This month's bill reflected a separate charge for the channel. Thus increasing the cost of the package. Because the employee has since left the company...the supervisor is unwilling to provide the channel at no cost without regard to the employee's notes left on the account. The supervisor was unwilling to provide an immediate upper level supervisor's name to address a complaint to. Comcast has gotten too big for it's own good. I am looking for another cable provider in my area (Jonesboro, GA) who can provide me with speedy cable Internet, and phone service for my home business as well as some NFL channels for my sports fan husband. Comcast continues to make AT& T look ever so good. Comcast misapplied a payment and it took them two months to find it and apply it appropriately. In the mean time my cable services were interrupted more than 4 times and late charges were applied.

Let me see if I can help anyone. I don't know how well this will work with those of you that have the bundle with Comcast but Here is what I did.

I only have internet and I have sat tv with another company. The cables for the 2 are on separate lines. I told them when I set up at my new house that I want the cable for the internet to come straight into my house and to my modem without any cuts or splitters. dont let them use *** existing cable.

make them set new cable. you are paying alot of money for there bs monopoly service so they should hook you up with new equipment. Every time the wire is cut it slows the connection down so you must eliminate those where possible. If you do have to use a splitter, get an expensive one.

Next, get an actual line technician out there to tweak the frequency at the pole. most people they send out are idiots so make sure you get a line tech that knows what he is doing. Whatch them set it up. Dont let them *** with a half *** job.

Make them earn there money. Hope that helps!

the cable company just gives you the stations. the stations themselves are responcible for what airs.

(think of it as a supermarket- thes upermarket gives ou the food, but the individual companies are responsible for the ingredient is their products.)

a station will not take an ad off unless that ad violates regulations for ads in your country. (taylor swift endorsing a product would NOT count.) as they are paid to put those commercials on.

(and also paid for frequency and timeslot)

as for shows, they are taken off air when they get low-no ratings. Don't watch them and they have more of a chance of going away, but if lots of people like them- majority vote there.

Always take your problems with Comcast to the FCC.

Law requires Comcast respond to the FCC with copy to you.

Filing a consumer complaint is free. However, you still may not get the problem resolved to your satisfaction.

At least you can cost them some admin time and postage.

Plus they most likely have a lawyer review the response.

Cost them as much as you can!

Comcast in Chicago, Illinois - Installation of services

My wife set up installation services for cable, internet, and phone for this morning. Surprisingly they showed up on time which was an excellent way to begin, however it took a surprisingly downturn afterwards. James went about explaining what he planned to do, and since he wanted to cut into AT&T'sn, I asked him how long it would be until we were back up, because I needed to notify work. That is when he began with the attitude. He and his partner left without doing a thing. We called Comcast and told them we needed someone back out here for an installation today, and I bet you can imagine what we did, canceled our services. Even our 250.00 monthly service for two years was nothing Comcast wanted to save. Comcast is a monopoly here in the South, and it's a shame.

Well Comcast has turned my cable and internet off twice due to non payment, however the non payers were my neighbors yes they got the wrong people 2 times

My story: I changed my credit card - normal thing, no? Yes, in the normal world.

Not for comcast. I tried to update the autopayment to a new card, the website was giving me errors. So I made a 1-time payment, tried to talk on their chat (ridiculous, the representative disappeared for half an hour, in the middle of a 'conversation'). I went online again and set up automatic payment, and I THOUGHT I WAS SUCCESSFUL.

So now I logged in, it's fricking February, and the auto payment is still not working AND THEY CHARGE ME LATE FEE.

*** yeah, a great business plan - I'm giving them my credit card and saying 'hey take the money', they refuse to take it on time and charge me for late payments!!!!! How a wonderful business plan they have, to screw things up themselves and charge customers for it!!!!!
