New comcast rip off!

I recently called to add HBO to my cable and what they failed to tell me (until I got the bill) was that there is now a $5 "change of service" fee! So, in order to add things, anything, to your cable/phone/internet with Comcast, they will now charge a fee to charge you more! I know it doesn't make any sense so I asked to speak to the supervisor which the rep refused to let me speak to stating he would have to put in a request. I have not heard back yet but I am requesting to have the fee removed as I was not advised at the time of the change. FYI - the rep stated there would be no charge to remove features, just to add them.

Comcast Failure to Install

Comcast service really sucks. I scheduled transfer of service and was given 4/23/11 between 2-5, Comcast showed up 3 hrs early without calling. Installation could not be complete due to wiring issue. Comcast contractor called to schedule completion installation & told me date was Mon., 4/25 between 8-11 am, I told him I would have to *** work without pay & agreed to that date & time. I called 4/25 @ 9 am just to check and was told my appt. date & time is Tues., 4/26 between 2-5 pm. I wasted my whole day without pay without even a phone call. I have called Comcast numerous times & online chats with no offer of any compensation for my inconvenience. I am seriously in need of another cable provider.

I had to make 8 appointments and 6 of them were cancelled by Comcast with NO notification to me. This seems to be a common practice with Comcast with no regard for the customer. I have notified my State Public Service Comission and I suggest others do the same.

They were supposed to show up at my house today between 5:00 and 7:00. Never called, never showed.

I called at about 6:30 to find out where they were and I was told the service call was cancelled. When I asked who cancelled it, they said the tech called and there was no answer, so he cancelled the service call. I asked what their protocol is - the techs are supposed to leave a voice mail with details regarding confirming or rescheduling - I received no call and no voice mail. We're sorry, he can come tomorrow.

No, I have to work tomorrow. After a half hour of battling with two different service reps, I finally had to settle for Saturday - a full week after I called with the complaint to begin with, because I can't take any more time off of work this week. They are the worst service provider out there.

I have phone, internet and cable with them, and I am treated as though I am annoying them and taking up their time whenever I need assistance. They are awful.

comcast used my personal cel# as the primary Account tel#, w/o my permission. they intentionally locked me out of my account by setting it up for me using my cel#, not telling me that my new comcast ph# is NOT the number to use to register an account online, which they already registered! then I needed a 4 digit pin to reset my comcast email password, but w/o the 4 digit pin I needed to go home to receive a call on my comcast land line to reset my email password!!!!!!! ludricous! the dvr is totally useless because it says 0% capacity even though I was allowed to schedule recordings of several TV shows

Comcast sucks

I have used Com cast on and off by necessity for years when there is no alternative. It has never been a good experience. Their customer service is terrible and they always have an excuse for changing and increasing pricing. Calling them is a complete waist of time. Recently I complained about an increase in on my Internet charge and they said that I could take the lower service, which I was never told about, to reduce my bill. Don't you know that the following month they raised the price on that service taking away the savings I had just received. You simply can not win with this company. Please give us alternatives so we can show Com cast our dissatisfaction.

Comcast - Worst Customer Service EVER

It takes a lot for me to complain about a company. Comcast has been horrible ever since I signed up with them. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. I have talked to reps both online in a chat and over the phone and the same horrible service goes across the board. I have basic internet and have not had the support I needed. I had previously gotten Comcast a few years ago in Virginia, and had a bad time with them as well. Trying to be optimistic, and in a different state (Colorado), I signed up again. What a terrible idea. In all, do not get Comcast. I'm seriously going to switch to a different provider and at this point I would rather pay more money for worse internet if it means the reps in customer service don't act like they have never been through a day of training in their life.

I think they train them to interrupt customers too. Nobody could possibly be that rude without training. I'm the customer and I'm trying to ask you a question, why the **$#@ are you talking while you should be listening?

All they want to do is send technicians out and all the technicians do is tighten the cable so much that it requires a wrench to undo it.

The last time they were here it took a whole month before their lingering body odor faded away.

I am not exagerating either. PLEASE Verizon!! Bring the 4G to my town. I just need an ISP that is NOT Comcast or Qwest.

Comcast is the WORST!

I have done business with many cable companies in my life. They include Viacom, Cox, Time-Warner, Brighthouse, Adelphia and now, unfortunately, Comcast. Believe me, I don't hold any of these companies in high regard, but Comcast is the stinkiest *** out there! I almost feel sorry for their "representatives" who have to answer the phones. I know it's not their fault that the company they work for is a bunch of mercenary, lying, cheating, influence-peddling, crass bunch of ***. But they should have known that when they took the job! In my two years with Comcast, I have never gotten the same excuse twice. In the "Comcast world", facts are apparently transitory. According to them, what is true on Monday is not necessarily true on Thursday. How can any company do business that way? I'll tell you how. When I was young, the most loathed businessman was the used car salesman. (Granted, this was back in the 70's, but I'm sure miost of us has been there!) It was widely known that "used car salesmen" were liars. They still are. However, by and large, most of them and their offspring have moved on to selling cell phones and cable service. I know many people are upset with having to call India for technical support, but at least more Indians are honest! Any company that trains their employees to be cold-hearted liars represents a problem to me! But that's not the worst of it!!! In my attempts to identify another cable/internet provider, I found out that there are no others in Georgia. Let me clarify: there are other carriers in Georgia, but none of the "others" can supply me with the internet speed I need. After weeks of questions to various agencies (state and federal), I was informed that Comcast was the ONLY provider licensed to operate in Georgia by the FCC. I'm sorry, does that not fly in the face of "free enterprise"? Does that not invalidate the ability of a free mrket to select a better product? Of course it does. My 6 year old knows that. The problem is that Comcast is so Huge. They are the largest cable provider on the eastern seaboard. Their annual political contributions make most of our families' accumulated wealth look like *** in a bucket. I urge all of you to thwart Comcast's goals; which are to rip you off and lie while they're doing it. Tell your representatives that you're tired of it and you would prefer a TRUE fre market. Read some books.

Comcast New Box Killed Internet & TV

We just got 5 boxes today as we were told it was now required, and non of them work, all 5 do not work, there is an error messege that shows up and now our internet is dead. Between my father and husband they were on the phone with comcast for a total of 4 HOURS. My father was asked by someone to give the serial # from our modem and computer and ever since then the internet has been dead. They were asked about various serial numbers from various departments, everything has been "registered' and on top of that they were told it would take a total of 20 minutes PER cable box to set up. WTF?!?!?!? Now the cable boxes won't shut off, we have no tv and no internet AND they were told that they could schedule a service request for TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. UM TODAY IS FRIDAY !!!!! We are paying for a service that we are not getting, how is next tuesday an acceptable appointment?!? Why would it not be a next day service appointment?!?!? Its obviously something that comcast did wrong on their end, how could we have 5 bad boxes, plus the internet should have nothing to do with the cable box. It would be one thing if our service was knocked out due to weather,etc and there were a lot of customers that needed their service fixed, but this is clearly a 'Comcast sucks at life' issue. And apparently if we unhook the box and just run a plain cable line to the tv it works, so again, I say, WTF COMCAST!!!!!

Don't choose comcast

Comcast is the worst cable company. I can not tell you the amount of hours i have spent with billing issues and technical problems. Most recently, i canceled HBO to lower my bill. No one informed me that this would "unbundle" my services, actually raising my bill by more than $50 a month! Now, i call and they tell me there is nothing they can do! i am told to call "customer loyalty" who alsosay there is nothing they can do. I am only loyal becuase i have no choice, there is no other options for cable in my area.

I went to my on demand today and found that half the library is missing, all I wanted was to watch a favorite program on the discovery channel choices , well ...it wasn't there to be found anywhere, I know sometimes they update their selections, but it is absolutely rediculous that I called and got no answers and decided to ask the live chat, and after three times absolutely no one could have an answer, a simple answer for my tiny little question of "what have you done with your on demand choices?"Why doesn't comcast know what is going on with their on demand contents? Are those even real people who you are chatting to? The reason I am so upset is because I pay alot for our service and when I have a concern, I think I deserve a decent answer or to be connected to someone who knows,i dont understand why someone cant say if they are updating some of the folders but instead they tried to send a signal to my box, and my on demand library, blame my bill,and so on.Unbelievable

Comcast over charged my account

Comcast over charged my account and when i got in contact with them they told me there is nothing they can do for the next 7-10 business days. Now keep in mind my bill was $97.84 and they charged my card $343. No i have other bills to pay, no food or gas in my car and they telling me an *** out of luck. When asked to fax a report of incident to my bank so they could clear it in 6 hours instead they blatantly told me NO. And this is after i called at first and they told me call back because they computer not working, i asked to be transferred and they told me they can't do that either because the phones not working. I called back and they had me on hold for 10 min at a time. I am sooo disappointed in comcast it's *** ridiculous.

Never use a credit card when paying Comcast because all the employees have access to it. If you ever stop by their office, you will undertand why.

They are all uncoordinated and so slow hoping customers will give up and walk away. Join Netflix and put up an outside antenna for digital channels.

When I signed up with them I was quoted 159.00 for all my package , including everything I wanted, from that day on...I never saw a bill for less than 195.00, I pay ten dollars a month for the hole in my wall where the phone jack connects to the modem.REALLY???? After getting no help from them today for a simple question..I'm so disappointed in them ...booo
