Comcast in Provo, Utah - Customer Service = None

Recently upgraded to the business class because we were being throttled on our residence level. (Understandably. We were in fact going over the limit.) However, ever since the upgrade, our connection has been inconsistent. One minute we will have a connection with 10msp (ping), 50megabits down, 10 up (Which is a good connection). Run that SAME scan 2 minutes later, and we have 250 milliseconds ping, 1 megabit down, 1 megabit up. (This, is a *** conection.) I have called Comcast to have them come out and take a look. The appointment was made, but the Technician did not show. I called the next day and sat on hold for 40 minutes before hanging up. I am so unsatisfied with this ***, but I have no choice. Comcast has the best speeds to offer for my block, but they are so inconsistent that I can't help but want to BEG a company like Utopia to come out to our area. To say I am extremely unsatisfied would be an extreme understatement. Comcast, you genuinely suck. I give your "Customer Support" a 0/10

If you would like to cancel your service with Comcast and you don't want to pay the cancelation fee just cancel the credit card you used for the account. Tell the bank you lost it and get a new account number.

This will stop Comcast from charging anything to your old account.

The return the equipment.If this service is not older then 30 days you have the right to cancel the service with no extra charges.... And don't get Clear Internet they suck as to speeds and connections, I know I have there service.......

Comcast in Chicago, Illinois - Poor poor poor service

I wish I could use someone other than Comcast, but I do not have a choice. Darn monopolies... Bad customer service... very expensive ... poor quality of service and no refund on outage. Technicians are either very late or never show up for appointments. I have been a customer for 5+ years and yet my service charges always go up. I have asked multiple times on help to reduce bill. I have internet + basic digital cable --- my bill is $156/month. I don't have phone, no DVR, no on demand, no HBO....!!!! Totally frustrated and I wish I had a south or west facing condo to get Direct TV or Dish

Ask to speak to retention they won't offer anything unless you ask, and if a CSR won't give you credit ask to speak with a Supervisor.

Comcast Billing is Always Incorrect

Comcast has the worst customer service and trying to get somewhere with their chat reps is useless. The billing is ALWAYS incorrect. I'm supposed to hair their "blazing speed internet" @ $29.99/month plus $5.00/month modem rental but the bill is always $40 some dollars or above. I've even contacted their escalations department and they are just as bad!! I was even promised a wireless router from them when I signed up, I was told I just have to order it online, I did that same day my service was installed. I was promised it in 3-5 days, it took a month to get to me!! Eventhough this all happened back in January, I'm still upset about it and when I saw someone else's complaint about Comcast, I just had to share my experience. There should be a law about treating customer with such disrespect!! And no one ever even apologized, not even at the escalations department!! Any apology goes a long way Comcast!!

Comcast is a Fraud & a Waste of Time & Money

FYI - Comcast Personnel get their service for FREE for those who do not know this. And Watch They lie to you about those 1.99 boxes which is you get three and then you get charged after the 3rd box. Also The box that was 6.95 well now its 9.99 it get channels like the big boxes. but it small and no has no time signal. I had the TV and Internet service never really had to much problems. UNTIL I got the phone service all heck broke lose. I have had the service for 3 months and the service is bad. The call logs are not up to date and the message get crossed. Example I had a message so I went on line to hear them well the call was my husband and not DHL service and I had another call the was the same way. I have had Comcast out here almost every week. And Cooperate involve but the issue still remans. All I hear is the engineers are working on it and it a state wide problem. OK if that is the case get your so call top notch engineers and get the problem fix. Its bad enough The 2nd line you have basically nothing 11.99 a month unless you want to pay 22.99 and get the feature you get from other companies for less!

Comcast's employee cable service is not free it is discounted so the agents can assist customers with products and services by having access to it. The only difference with the 2 types of phone packages is long distance and voicemail, the cheaper of the 2 does not have long distance and voicemail, check with your local competitors and see what you get for 2 phone lines with unlimited long distance, voicemail and caller ID before you have a fit!

New comcast rip off!

I recently called to add HBO to my cable and what they failed to tell me (until I got the bill) was that there is now a $5 "change of service" fee! So, in order to add things, anything, to your cable/phone/internet with Comcast, they will now charge a fee to charge you more! I know it doesn't make any sense so I asked to speak to the supervisor which the rep refused to let me speak to stating he would have to put in a request. I have not heard back yet but I am requesting to have the fee removed as I was not advised at the time of the change. FYI - the rep stated there would be no charge to remove features, just to add them.

Comcast Failure to Install

Comcast service really sucks. I scheduled transfer of service and was given 4/23/11 between 2-5, Comcast showed up 3 hrs early without calling. Installation could not be complete due to wiring issue. Comcast contractor called to schedule completion installation & told me date was Mon., 4/25 between 8-11 am, I told him I would have to *** work without pay & agreed to that date & time. I called 4/25 @ 9 am just to check and was told my appt. date & time is Tues., 4/26 between 2-5 pm. I wasted my whole day without pay without even a phone call. I have called Comcast numerous times & online chats with no offer of any compensation for my inconvenience. I am seriously in need of another cable provider.

I had to make 8 appointments and 6 of them were cancelled by Comcast with NO notification to me. This seems to be a common practice with Comcast with no regard for the customer. I have notified my State Public Service Comission and I suggest others do the same.

They were supposed to show up at my house today between 5:00 and 7:00. Never called, never showed.

I called at about 6:30 to find out where they were and I was told the service call was cancelled. When I asked who cancelled it, they said the tech called and there was no answer, so he cancelled the service call. I asked what their protocol is - the techs are supposed to leave a voice mail with details regarding confirming or rescheduling - I received no call and no voice mail. We're sorry, he can come tomorrow.

No, I have to work tomorrow. After a half hour of battling with two different service reps, I finally had to settle for Saturday - a full week after I called with the complaint to begin with, because I can't take any more time off of work this week. They are the worst service provider out there.

I have phone, internet and cable with them, and I am treated as though I am annoying them and taking up their time whenever I need assistance. They are awful.

comcast used my personal cel# as the primary Account tel#, w/o my permission. they intentionally locked me out of my account by setting it up for me using my cel#, not telling me that my new comcast ph# is NOT the number to use to register an account online, which they already registered! then I needed a 4 digit pin to reset my comcast email password, but w/o the 4 digit pin I needed to go home to receive a call on my comcast land line to reset my email password!!!!!!! ludricous! the dvr is totally useless because it says 0% capacity even though I was allowed to schedule recordings of several TV shows

Comcast sucks

I have used Com cast on and off by necessity for years when there is no alternative. It has never been a good experience. Their customer service is terrible and they always have an excuse for changing and increasing pricing. Calling them is a complete waist of time. Recently I complained about an increase in on my Internet charge and they said that I could take the lower service, which I was never told about, to reduce my bill. Don't you know that the following month they raised the price on that service taking away the savings I had just received. You simply can not win with this company. Please give us alternatives so we can show Com cast our dissatisfaction.

Comcast - Worst Customer Service EVER

It takes a lot for me to complain about a company. Comcast has been horrible ever since I signed up with them. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. I have talked to reps both online in a chat and over the phone and the same horrible service goes across the board. I have basic internet and have not had the support I needed. I had previously gotten Comcast a few years ago in Virginia, and had a bad time with them as well. Trying to be optimistic, and in a different state (Colorado), I signed up again. What a terrible idea. In all, do not get Comcast. I'm seriously going to switch to a different provider and at this point I would rather pay more money for worse internet if it means the reps in customer service don't act like they have never been through a day of training in their life.

I think they train them to interrupt customers too. Nobody could possibly be that rude without training. I'm the customer and I'm trying to ask you a question, why the **$#@ are you talking while you should be listening?

All they want to do is send technicians out and all the technicians do is tighten the cable so much that it requires a wrench to undo it.

The last time they were here it took a whole month before their lingering body odor faded away.

I am not exagerating either. PLEASE Verizon!! Bring the 4G to my town. I just need an ISP that is NOT Comcast or Qwest.

Comcast is the WORST!

I have done business with many cable companies in my life. They include Viacom, Cox, Time-Warner, Brighthouse, Adelphia and now, unfortunately, Comcast. Believe me, I don't hold any of these companies in high regard, but Comcast is the stinkiest *** out there! I almost feel sorry for their "representatives" who have to answer the phones. I know it's not their fault that the company they work for is a bunch of mercenary, lying, cheating, influence-peddling, crass bunch of ***. But they should have known that when they took the job! In my two years with Comcast, I have never gotten the same excuse twice. In the "Comcast world", facts are apparently transitory. According to them, what is true on Monday is not necessarily true on Thursday. How can any company do business that way? I'll tell you how. When I was young, the most loathed businessman was the used car salesman. (Granted, this was back in the 70's, but I'm sure miost of us has been there!) It was widely known that "used car salesmen" were liars. They still are. However, by and large, most of them and their offspring have moved on to selling cell phones and cable service. I know many people are upset with having to call India for technical support, but at least more Indians are honest! Any company that trains their employees to be cold-hearted liars represents a problem to me! But that's not the worst of it!!! In my attempts to identify another cable/internet provider, I found out that there are no others in Georgia. Let me clarify: there are other carriers in Georgia, but none of the "others" can supply me with the internet speed I need. After weeks of questions to various agencies (state and federal), I was informed that Comcast was the ONLY provider licensed to operate in Georgia by the FCC. I'm sorry, does that not fly in the face of "free enterprise"? Does that not invalidate the ability of a free mrket to select a better product? Of course it does. My 6 year old knows that. The problem is that Comcast is so Huge. They are the largest cable provider on the eastern seaboard. Their annual political contributions make most of our families' accumulated wealth look like *** in a bucket. I urge all of you to thwart Comcast's goals; which are to rip you off and lie while they're doing it. Tell your representatives that you're tired of it and you would prefer a TRUE fre market. Read some books.
