My Comcast cable box went bad. I was without cable for a month. I just now called Comcast, they sent out a service repair person who replaced my bad box. They charged me $50. I could fully understand the charge if it was something wrong with my system, but it is...

I am going through this right now. These boxes belong to Comcast, we rent them each month.

Mine is bad also. I have two options. I can have a Comcast Service Technician come out to replace their defective box at a cost of $60.00 to me, or go to a Comcast store and switch them out myself! I am totally amazed at the *** customer service Comcast extends to their customers.

They focus on getting new customers instead of keeping customers.

If I could get a quicker Internet service from anyone else, I would switch. Im just screwed.

COMCAST

COMCAST Cable vision provider is the most horrible service company I have ever seen. I made my payment last month as I do every month. I get a bill this month for $271.35 so I head to the local Comcast office and wait in line (for ever) the lady at the counter said I owe $271.35 so my bill went up $161.35 for no reason. So I had to cancel my service I can't afford $271.35 a month. The lady at the counter said my promotional period ran out after a year, I told her it's been this way for 3 and half years. Basic internet and basic TV no premium channels. So I get back to the office and call the 1-888-Comcast to find out why I'm being charged so much and the initial recording gives me my account info and said there is a $106.63 payment pending. So I press 0 for a live person and the woman gives me pretty much the correct information that I should have been given in person at the Savannah office, so I tell her I will keep the Comcast account open and she tells me there will be a reconnection fee?? It's only been 12 minutes since I was at the Comcast Savannah office and they are telling me that a tech has already went to the house and disconnected my cable vision. So they give me the wrong information that causes me to have to cancel my service then they give me the right information and they want to charge me for a reconnection charge and this whole ordeal took place in under 25 minutes since my office is less than a mile from Comcast Savannah. So they would rather lose me as a customer then waive the reconnection charges that I know is BS there is no way a service tech made it to my house and disconnected me all within the 20minuets this took place between cancelation and reactivation.

Comcast worst service on Earth??

Ordered Comcast Xfinity internet online, new to country, so were told we had to go into the store for an "ID check". My wife waited in line for an hour to be told there was no record of that request, and that she didn't need to have come. Thanks for that. We haven our own modem, so ordered the "home installation kit". We were told we wouldn't be able to connect until it arrived. What a load: we waited a full 7 days to get the kit, which contained our customer number to enter into their website...that was what I waited 7 days for?? Then, 3 days later, we get a modem in the mail we never asked for. We refused to take it back and told them to pick it up themselves and we were told we'd be liable for it if we left it on the doorstep. Liable for something we never ordered...go jump Comcast, you have no idea how to run a company.

Comcast took my phone number without my authorization or an order!!!

On Feb 7th, Comcast took my phone number away from AT&T without my permission at all! No one in my home made the order, Comcast can not provide me with the mandatory third party recording of our approval, because there wasn't one. This is illegal. I am so mad. I have had no dial tone for two days and AT&T says it will be 3-5 days to get it back. Where can I go to get information on how to sue Comcast, this is against FCC regulation. Or do you know of any contact information to someone at Comcast that will at least offer me some credit to my Cable bill? How can they get away with this ***! Liz

I'm compiling a list of people and stories just like this for a class action against Comcast. I'm in the middle of a situation that's been ongoing since 8/29. As of today STILL no dial tone.

Send your story to ComcastLawsuit@Gmail.com

Comcast Sucks!

I tried to cancel my account and transfer all the equipment to the new roommate. He called to get the account, but they stated that I need to call in to relinquish my rights to the equipment. Understandable. I called in, new acct transfered me to billing, who then transferred me to another person, and finally when everything was settled, the roommate wants to start the account, he can't get the same promotion that he had previously discussed with the new acct rep. Can people at the call center have the same script?!?! is it really that hard? We asked to speak to the management, and then got transfered to a voicemail after beign on the phone for 40 minutes?!?! WTF?!? is this what they call superior customer service? WAKE UP COMCAST UPPER MANAGEMENT!!!

Comcast sole expensive provider of Internet connection

I use Comcast for Internet connection only. I have no choice whatsoever and pay $63,66 monthly. Out of curiosity, I checked the cost of Internet connection in London (Pond Sterling 3,25), in Paris (10 Euros) and in Berlin (12 Euros). I wonder why an Internet connection in the US should be by far more expensive? I use Comcast for Internet connection only. I have no choice whatsoever and pay $63,66 monthly. You have many choices. If you have a landline - you can get DSL and Dial-Up.

Also; anyone, anywhere can get Dish Internet from companies like Hughesnet.

You are wrong.

And Comcast can charge whatever they want; they're a private business. Besides, internet is not a requirement for life.

Comcast is a very poor value

I subscribe to basic Comcast cable tv. After delivering an HDMI cable box, the service tech failed to set up the system completely and left my home without ensuring that service was operational (I had nothing). I had to phone in another service call immediately before I could watch anything. I quickly realized that the audio drops out intermittently and to get it back, you have to channel up or down momentarily and then back to your station to get sound restored on the channel you're watching. I called them and they said the problem is not with their system. That was 2 months ago and I still have this happening at least 3 times a day! They are not interested in helping me. $60 per month, terrible programming, faulty hardware and worthless support. Their advertising for cable service is enough to make me VOMIT!

Comcast in Florence, Mississippi - Service charge for work outside my home

After having a problem with my phone and internet service three times that hadn't been resolved. I had to *** from work to meet people that never showed up. Each time I called, the service call was going to take up to two weeks to get someone to my house to check out the problem. On the fourth call I was finally given a service call for two days later. No one ever mentioned a service call fee. The tech shows up and checks my modem inside, and seems to working ok. Minor dropage in signal. He then goes on the outside of my house and changes out something. This seems to have corrected the problem. I have never been told of a service fee. I can understand if something on the inside of my house was bad and I would be responsible for it, but the outside of the house seems like it would be their equipment. I called the help desk and could barely understand the lady I talked to. She was no help at all. These people are the biggest ripe off artists I have ever seen. I have been with them for many years. I will be looking for a new provider in the near future.

I'm not surprised. Comcast always ripped me off when I was with them.

they charged me a service fee to get my internet fixed because their lines were apparently no good. funny thing is..

when I moved in, they never bothered to check the lines. they had me install my own cable boxes and modem because the house already had Comcast cables.
