Comcast Cable ruined my ability to tape delay shows

When the switch to digital signal happened and we were all forced to rent a box, Comcast also began doing something to their signal to screw up my VCR's ability to record even the active, incoming shows. Now I can't time-shift those shows that are aired (cabled?) too late in the evening for me to stay up and watch. The bastards did this deliberately to try to force me to RENT their DVR box and service. Yet another attempt to stick their greedy hands into my pocket. This whole switch to digital signal has been such a scam.

I guess I'm a bit confused as to why the VCR won't record, but you still don't need to rent a Comcast box. My advice is to invest in a Tivo Premier from Amazon.

(cheaper than Tivo.com) Yes, I'm a devoted Tivo user, but it is a FAR superior product than any cable companies dvr. Comcast is required by the FCC to provide you with a cable card to use in the Tivo.

Comcast speed sucks for $$ we pay

Comcast DSL speeds: San Jose, CA I am paying 64$/month for blast which they promise 20mbps I am getting 6mbps...they are shameless idiots..they can beg or barrow. I am really pissed off and I am going to change after spitting on their faces for cheating consumers like this. Talk about their billing and its a scam. Someone called after 6 months and told me that there is a price change and it impacts me, I have to fight with them to keep the plan price. Every month you see an increase of 10C or 15C increase and if this is not a telephone line why would there be a any change in billing. God, punish these people

The reason is most likely your modem is too old to support the higher speed. I mean come on!

Mine was five years old.

When I upped my speed I also ordered a new modem. This is NOT rocket science people!

Comcast not so signature support dept.

in the last hour i made a call to comcast to fix issues i have been having with what is supposed to be WIRELESS internet i pay for with comcast however they have been of no assistance whatsoever and the representatives in what is called XFINITI SIGNATURE SUPPORT are ALWAYS extremely rude to me, the first time i called the *** hung up on me refused to answer my question and would not clarify my concerns he was rushing me and when i would not agree to pay for the service he advised me of he hung up. today the rep was a woman she wouldnt give me her name she seemed bitter and yet again when i refused to sign up for the service which she said was $9 and change (a $3 increase since i last spoke to someone) she transfered me back to regular tech support and i was waiting for over 20 mins. i do not intend to continue to pay for wireless internet if its not wireless NO ONE CAN NOR WANTS TO HELPS.

Comcast channel inconsistencies

Comcast says that channel 221 is lifetime movie network. It turns out it is ESPNU. I tried to call comcast twice. The first time they rebooted my machine. The second time, after 9 or so hours, they kept hanging up on me. I'm only trying to tell them that they have an issue with their broadcasting. Why are they treating me as if I am an incompetent person that doesn't understand their system? I am a programmer myself, and I just wanted to make them aware of the problem with their system. They have locked me out as if I didn't know what I was talking about. All I wanted to do was to make them aware of the problem. Instead I was treated as someone who didn't have a clue as to how their operation works. I would expect that as any good company they could at least as if they were their customer. Instead I was given the generic runaround like any other company would have given if they outsourced their company support to India. I would think that they would at least have contingencies should that happen. If anyone has a problem with outsourcing then that's me. If a company decides to outsource their help desk, shouldn't they at least give them a way to support issues that they can't deal with. Shame on you Comcast. If you're going to outsource your tech support, the least you can do is train them in what to do when you are at fault.

*** Comcast (normally i would start a email with DEAR but there's nothing DEAR about *** COMCAST, By far this company sux!!! As consumers and customers there's nothing we can do about this company...it's straight up a MONOPOLY and government should regulate it. It's criminal what and how they treat customers. it's even a waste of my TIME writing this buillshit about comcast. Does anyone know or how to file formal complaint to this *** company. If any angel could hear our prayers please DESTROY this company financially!!! As customers, we are so limited in cable service due to areas that we live and it sux to have *** comcast!!!!

Comcast in Fleming Island, Florida - Switch day off to meet cable man for repairs

COMCAST BUNDLE . It is Hard to believe I took the day off to meet the cable man to hook up the hd as promises. Was given an appt and Told to be here 0800-1000 Tuesday . 1015 noone shows, I call to find out what was going on. There was never an appt, no hd box was orders, no free hbo, and noone is coming, The sales person I talk to told me it is not showing on my record. This has jacked up my entire day. That bundle deal I got when I move is not worth it. We have been direct tv customers for ten years, and never seen so many messup with this initial order. Not to mention I waitied a week for my sons cable box to get reprograms, the initial installer never connected it, poor poor service sad.

Comcast in Portland, Oregon - Worst service I have ever experienced

I have been a comcast service member for many years consistently shocked at how horrible their service is. Their customer service representatives are consistently rude and when you get a nice one there is nothing they can do to help. I have tried mulitple times to make payments over the internet they consistently get kicked back because of whatever, so instead of notifying me of the issue they disconnect services when I try to pay by phone they want to charge me for an issue they are having with their system. This has been another day that my time has been wasted speaking to a rude Comcast Customer service agent. I am shocked that another company has not wiped this awful company off the map. Horrible service all around from the reps to the actual service.

I have hated Comcast since I got their services. Unfortunately I am forced to have them as satelitte in my opinion is inferior and I cannot get AT&T U-verse yet. Sigh, I feel your pain.

Comcast in Germantown, Maryland - Would like to know why this computer has unlimited commercials

Not only are the commercials distracting (when you are tryin to work ) now these not wanted reminders flash. Using the reference pages is next to impossable. I pay for comcast each month I do not want to see commercials, the TV has a ton of those. The only thing with out a commercial is the phone and I'm waiting for Comcast to find a way to do that. I don't need one hundred words to get my point across but you do. Why???? Have IQ's droped sharply in the United States or do you need everyone to repete the sentance over and over like a record.

Comcast Rip Off

So I recently signed up for internet through Comcast. They took almost 2 weeks to come and install my modem so I called and complained, ok they said they would wave the $35 installation fee. Well two days after the installation I checked my account online and have a bill for $137 dollars, just for internet service?! My internet rate is $29.99 for 6 months, and the installation fee was waved, why the outrageous bill?! Well, today is Sunday and yep, their closed. I'm calling tomorrow to complain! I'm disabled and live on a fixed income! I can't afford this!
