Comcast shady billing practices and *** customer service

I bought my own Motorola DocSIS 3.0 cable Modem in 2010. For some reason they keep trying to claim my modem is owned by them. According to the rep I just chatted with, they never corrected the ownership listing in the billing part of the system the last time I dealt with this, over a year ago. If they weren't the only game in town for hi-speed internet I would have dropped them the month after this started, way back in 2011!!!! I can't understand why their billing system/auditors doesn't check with their inventory system on equipment. They could just as easily NOT be charging someone for equipment Comcast owns as they can charge for equipment a customer owns. Bad system integration, they need to fix it so their CSR's and customers don't have to deal with all the headaches!!!

Comcast does not honor 30 days money back promise.

My first comcast internet experience is really an unpleasant one. The service was installed on 02/11/2013 at 6 PM. But due to many times of failing to resolve some billing disputes (one of them was the service protect plan that I never authorized), I had to call their resolution team to cancel the service on 03/13/2013 at 2PM. They finally agreed to remove the over charges on 4/30/2013, after over a dozen times of phone calls and chattings. But they refused to pay me back my first month's payment, even though the service was within the first 30 days.

No customer service | Comcast review from State College, Pennsylvania

You can call all day and the customer service line will never connect you to a real person but it will take a few minutes before it tells you this and automatically disconnects you so you waste even more time. There is no way to find a phone number to call a store directly, only the 800 number that never connects you. If you decide to try to use the live chat with one of their employees they won't be able to speak English or help you with anything except to tell you to call the 800 number. All I want to do is cancel my service. I'll never be going back. Comcast is one of the least customer friendly companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Get direct tv or dish or some other provider. Anything would be an improvement over this.

Comcast owed us $100 approx. from an account disconnected and guess what, they continue billing us for the closed account. they then put us in collections for the account they were billing which did not exist. They still had not credited us the $100. After battling with them and the collection agency for months we resolve this. Then they do this a second time and now we are being denied loan for going back to school because of their carelessness. My husband school starts in 1 month and he may loose his admission and his entire career because of them. This is what you get for wanting Cable and internet. Highly unprofessional company. They always messed up our bills. We always had to spend hours each month with them to get it corrected. They surely have a law suit coming their way.

Disregarding written price agreement | Comcast review from Houston, Texas

On March 14,2013 I received my bill from Comcast and it had almost doubled so I called customer service and told them I wanted to cancel. The CS rep said they would upgrade my package and internet service for about $90. I said ok and two hours later I received a confirmation e-mail with the agreed price. Next month I got the same high bill that I complained about. I ended up taking a copy of my e-mail to the comcast office and basically was told they would not honor the price I was promised but would give me another price that wasn't even as good as I had then. They told me this in a message left on my phone and then without me agreeing to the new package deal which was worse than I had, they downgraded my package and charge me $30 for breaking my contract and gave me a lot worse package for more money than I had before I called them. They refused to honor a written agreement between me (a Customer ) and them.

Just got my sevice on, after a week an a half, payed my bill about a week an a half early. Now my Cable television is off, I talked to two tech's who acted like they were sworn to secrecy an couldn't help me at all.

I couldn't speak to a supervisor, where's the honesty. They waited until I payed my bill to pull this ***. So I guess your damned if you pay on time, before time, or after time meaning being late. What's going on with these Cable companies is pathetic, they get away with murder.

They are a bunch of *** artist, that needs to be brought down.we need new Cable companies if they had more competition maybe they wouldn't pull half of that *** that they do pull. Who regulates them & their actions, because it seems like they just do their own thing whatever they say goes even though they can lie in a heart beat, while there's no repocustions.

I mean really everything should have checkef out, from the beginning, I find out something is wrong and I have no idea what it could be, the say just come to Comcast with iD , but why is a secret it this some kind of set up or something? What the heck is going on?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20yr cust, id has benn messed up,for over a yr. asked for someing writing to let me know, on phone for over 40hrs, still call me and it is my problem. got a work order# said they would call back. i called them and my problem was closed, got call today asking the same questions i have given them for ever, then was told for the 5th time, give me all your info about my poblem. said you have it. told we can't help unless i repeat it agian. can't do it anymore, writing now hurts me. i have never done this before, but how do you deal with this

Comcast has the worst service and even worst customer service

Tomorrow will be exactly 3 months I've had this service and it has been nothing but problems from day one. I have had to call them every week for service issues, two replaced boxes, 8 days without service on one box and the technicians have been to my home at least four times. Today was the final straw. The same box they replaced last month is out again and I was told it would be 6 days before they could replace the box. I ask to speak to a supervisor to see about getting someone out earlier and the rep told me I could not speak with anyone and I could not be placed on hold until the next supervisor was available. Needless to say the rep told me he was going to disconnect the call and he did. I tried so hard to be patient but like they say you get what you pay for and I got was a TERRIBLE service and a major headache. Its back to Directv for me.

you should be charged for the replacement of the boxes! you obviously have an electrical problem in your home that is burning up the boxes.

once they are bench tested and electrical fault is found , you will be charged hundreds of dollars for burning up comcast property with your faulty home electrical system. stop calling comcast and call an electrician before your house burns up next.

Whole-Home DVR | Comcast review from Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Recently moved and was told there was no clear line of sight for my satellite. Forced to order Comcast. Negotiated "whole-home" DVR service. I have 4 TVS. I received 4 DVRS in the mail. HA! I guess that is their idea of whole home DVR service. Only problem, each DVR comes with a $20 rental fee. I asked why didn't they just install the real whole-home service? I was told it is not available in my area. I said then don't negotiate one thing and then send another. Not only are their boxes gigantic but they are really ugly as well with an bright old-fashioned huge pale orange display. End of story? I cut down a tree and now I have Direct TV again. Beautiful high-tech cool blue panel on front panel. Noticeable? Yes, but in an AWESOME way. Bill is half what Comcast wanted. Guide display is years ahead of Comcast. Bottom Line? Comcast needs to at MINIMUM follow Direct TV if they wanna compete in the TV-service market. Note: I kept Comcast internet, that service is AMAZING!

Moved to this rental community that has exclusive contract with Comcast. They won`t let us have Dish, Direct, Verizon or BrightHouse.

Comcast service sucks. Service, channels or internet is always going down. They don`t care when you call `cause we can`t go anywhere else. They don`t return calls or they tell us it`s not their problem.

At my wits end. Will move after my lease expires.

Comcast charges to get router password.

I recently switched my services on Comcast, I wanted to switch to AT&T because of the cheaper rates but I decided to stay. Comcast gave me a new router for my internet service, but they did not provide the password or modem name. When I called to get the password because none of the passwords on the router was working they offered to charge me to retrieve the password to the router THEY provided. They should have provided the password with the router, but they decide to charge me for it. Great. I opted out to pay the fee and used my old router. Comcast has to have the worst customer service, what kind of company charges extra for information they should have already provided!
