Comcast Cable Theft is Rampant in S. FL

I have had comcast for the last 5 years here in ft. lauderdale. I have never seen so much Cable theft in my life as I have seen here at our apt building. I dont know if comcast even has a theft or security dept. but I guess they just dont care how many people get free cable. Im tired of paying 130 a month for this *** programming and service that goes out everyother week! TIme to get a box from the flea market and get it free like all the other folks around here I guess. SHEESH. Im over it.

Comcast Customer Service is awful!!

On demand has been messed up since I set up sevice. They say they are available 24/7. Lies!!! I have called for 7 days straight, different times a day, and I am either hung up on after going thru the automated system or I am left on hold for 20min... Still no resolution to problem. At the beginning of service I was told there will be an appointment set up for my issue, but when that never happened I called and found out the appt was never put thru, I was given a tracking number (bogus number).... still no appt set. Then the problem came about that none of my phone calls would go thru. I have called from my cell phone and work phone. This is the second time I have had to deal with Comcast incompetence, and it has left me bitter with there services. As soon as I find out if AT&T is available in my area I will switch. My issue isn't with my On Demand not working, but with the lack of customer sevice. I will never recomend Comcast and will pass my experience along to others.

Elderly amputee ignored by Comcast

My mother, 87 and an amputee lost her email when Comcast changed over the method of billing. When she called she was told "it's not our problem." What a way to treat people!!! I called 5 times with no help. I finally was given the number 1-856-317-7272 and spoke with a woman who continued to stress that it was not their problem and that the lost of email on exactly the same day that the account was modified was just a "coincidence." If this is a coincidence then my name is Donald Duck. Any suggestions, phone numbers, etc would be appreciated. G.F.

I am not familiar with comcast as never had nor ever will, given it's rather bad reputation for customer service. However, I always advise people to not rely on the email client for their particular ISP as if you change companies, your email goes away.

Always have at least two other backup email addresses you can use. I have something like 10. The only kicker is that you have to log in to each one periodically or they will cancel it out for non-use. I use these different email addresses for various things and, of course, they are never in my real name or address.

For example, when you reply to or request info from a company you don't want to keep sending you junk mail, I use one of these throwaways.

Yahoo.com or google.com or hotmail.com all allow you to have free email accounts. Another one is mail.com.

They have hired a company to go door to door and try to switch people to comcast. They used a ruse of a job for me to get in to my home. Then they tried to get me to switch to them and since I agreed, then cancelled they still turned off my phone service with out my permission. I have been trying since 8:am to get it restored, it is now 5PM and still no phone. This is inexcusable. Comcast should stop these tactics or get out of consumer business. They have succeeded in making me sick with chest pains. This is definitely elder abuse.

Comcast is the WORST company ever!!!

Comcast is the most unreliable company to ever exist. They scheduled a day to install services in my home and failed to show up TWICE even after I paid for the first month in advanced. I called 4 times and received 4 different answers. Are they really that big that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing? Or are they just so eager to get people and their money in the door and they don't care to loose them in a few days. After calling them and voicing my concerns instead of helping me they tried to keep me as a customer on there terms. Comcast didn't care that they had inconvenienced me in multiple occasions I still had to wait until they had time to go out to my house for a THIRD time. Serves me right since I was told by everyone that Verizon was the way to go. Clearly even though Comcast is cheaper you get what you pay for! I called Verizon and was very thrilled with the service I received from them.

Comcast doesn't come out to solve my problem

my cable is not working and comcast cannot get out here to look at it. My cable and internet go out all the time. But they like my payment/money. I used to like thier service but not now.I will have to start looking at u-verse and at&t for my internet. They use a wireless device in my attic and it just does not work about 80-90% of the time. I pay for high definition but have none.I do not think I should have to write a minimum of 100 words for rhis to satisfy your requiements.

Comcast - Start the service

i ordered to transfer internet modem to my bedroom and start tv cable service because i just moved in this place ... comcast scheduled March 6 in the morning ... tech. came in that day and my mom put him on the phone to talk with me b/c i'm at work.... technician said," transfer modem in the bedroom the signal may be weak." ... i replied, " if it's too complicate, then u don't have to transfer the internet modem." .... just do the tv cable so that my mom can watch the tv ....i hung up the phone b/c i thought professional technician will know what he is doing ... and guess what? half hour later , my mom called and raised her voice with me and she said, " comcast technician left the house about 5 minutes ago and the tv is not work"...." he is not connect the tv cable for the service yet" I called the comcast company and told them that ..." technician came to my house without touch the tv to install the service ".... i want to know he forget to install the tv service? or the customer service forget to tell him that i ordered for tv cable service? ... comcast customer said, "okay, i tell techinician come back to your house to install it today." and technician didnot come back that day next day I called and said, " i ordered tv cable service and tech. came and left without tv cable install" ... comcast customer service raised her voice and said, " i don't see tv cable that you order in here .... let me transfer you to saleperson....

Comcast should go out of business

I never had any use for Comcast, but under no circumstances will I ever do any business for them for the rest of my life. This is because there is an advertisement from them in my mail box every week. I sent a message to them once, but nothing stopped. It I had not thrown so many in my trash already, I would take a box full of them and dump on the floor of the nearest office they have. Those of you who buy from them, do you consider the cost of advertisement has to either raise the price or lower the quality?

I have been a Comcast customer in Illinois for over 15 years. Moved to Florida (Miami). Have had the Comcast service for 1 1/2 years, the TV Comcast service here is the worst, phone is not far behind. But the cable TV is awful. I have had 8 DVR boxes replaced, the cable wires have been re-done several time at their expense, the service goes out all the time, and the Techs (most of them 9 out 10) are terrible. Poorly trained and lack knowledge of the system. Over the phone customer service telephone techs are of no use. Neighbors switched to other providers due the service issues. Oh, did I forget to mention that their billing system is also terrible...

Comcast is truly the worst company in America and maybe on the planet. After numerous fruitless visits to fix my tv I called their corporate hq in Philadelphia, pretended I was Board member at my condo community in FL with which they had just signed a contract, and demanded they fix my tv so it was watchable.

The next day the regional tech supervisor showed up and spent 3 hours -- partly outdoors in the rain-- fixing my tv reception.

Meanwhile, the real Board members still don't have their tvs fixed. Something to do with outdated wiring and the wrong boxes.

I hear they use reconditioned boxes that don't do the job.

Comcast Just Sucks

I have media center on my computer. I have been able to watch tv ,just the regular channels abc, nbc and cbs. Now they have yet again "UPGRADED" their equiptment, so now I can no longer watch the shows I enjoy. I'm getting pissed off. I had to get digital boxes for all my tv's. I can only record 2 shows at the same time and god forbid I want to watch a thrid show. I really think they just want to get rid of customers. They over charge, remove channels, and could care less about their customers. I'm pissed.

Comcast and the disappearing customer

First came the "Upgrades" to their network that removed 50% of the TV channels we typically watched, then came the increased rates for the programming that remained (not much, just enough for me to go "hey, didn't they just REDUCE my offerings???"), and then just a bit more of an increase, then they moved the channels from the "normal" numbering and forced you to use a box or have all your channels on 81.8 or 82.13 or other bizarre channels, and FINALLY, without any warning at all, they move just one final channel away from my basic package and POOF! this customer disappears! I don't know why I didn't go out and buy an antenna a year ago...

Comcast is a cheat and a thief.

on feb 6th i no longer continued to receive my expanded cable service. on march 5 th i receive a bill for the services i did not received. when i called, they explained that those channels went digital. that is fine with me but what about the fees i payed for services not received. they said they were sorry, but they could not credit my account. since when can't a billing dept credit an account? the truth is, they don't want to do it, and that makes them a thief cos they know *** well i could not have received those channels without their new equipment. i have been a costumer for atleast 17yrs, and now i have canceled all comcast services cos i don't do business with cheats and thieves. btw- they wanted to charge a cancellation fee, they should be more concerned with how their actions have lost a long standing customer.

Comcast Customer Service Negligent!

I have read post on how the customer service rep would not allow spouses to access their spouses account without permission from him or her and I just start crying. Comcast let a perfect stranger call in and reset my online password and now he is harassing me and everyone that was on my call history. He told them he was my husband. How could they let this happen. I hate Comcast and am seriously thinking about filing charges. What kind of training do they do at Comcast. I canceled my account and they had the nerve to ask me when I wanted to restart the services. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!!! I am scared to death for me and my children, this man has all my info!!!

Not being able to find satisfaction with comcast (call 10 times with THE SAME QUESTION, get 10 DIFFERENT answers), we closed our TV account and bought Dish Network services. So far, so good.

We\'re happy with more choices for less money, and I am diligently exploring possibilities to switch our internet service from comcast to someone else. Problem is, the sellout *** in the city council of Pueblo must have given monopoly on broadband to comcast. I wonder who got paid and how much.

Still, I will keep looking. I want to get AWAY from comcast, as soon as possible, and as far away as possible.

Unable to fit latest comcast price increase into my budget, I called to see what options could they have to lower my monthly bill. I was lied into a 2 year contract, under following conditions: $80/month for first 12 months, and $100 for the remaining 12 months; and NO changes in the channel lineup. Today to our dismay, we discovered that the channels we watched the most before they "bundled" our tv and internet services, simply vanished. I called comcast, and was told that the $80/month is true only for 6, AND NOT 12 months, and the channels that went missing - we were never supposed to receive them anyway. Yes, but we can PURCHASE them now, for only additional $10/month. What a bunch of *** *** liars. We are going to ditch their services as soon as I find a passable replacement.

Comcast didnt want to repair my cable box.

I called comcast to fix my cable box ,but was told i needed the person whos name was on the account to talked to them before they could come out which is my husband who is unavailable for 6 months.So i told them that and was told they could not repair my cable or make any changes without his approval. Now i told them iam not making any changes i just wanted them to fix my cable box before six months.Who tells someone to wait that long for service? poor customer service. WHAT A JOKE.help me please.
