After over three weeks of internet crawling to between 2-5 Mbps on a 50 Mbps plan, several phone calls into customer service, two visits by technicians - Comcast has concluded that the reason is simply due to congestion on their overloaded infrastructure.

Unfortunately, we have no other choice and therefore are stuck with 2-5 Mbps internet despite living in the third most populous city in America.

I have an idea - let's allow Comcast to merge with TimeWarner! That sounds like it will solve the problem! Or, perhaps they could invest some of this money into upgrading their infrastructure to play catch up.

I've got the same exact issue! And i'm in Chicago too. Comcast is just pathetic.
