Comcast - Customer Care Review

I am having a very similar issue. I am so frustrated that there is nothing they will do. I have made the mistake of signing up for their two year contract and am now stuck with them. After about a month of dealing with price quotes and signing up for packages that didn't show up multiple times in their system, Comcast gave me a deal for HBO and internet "for my troubles" through their loyalty department and now that my bill is here, they won't honor it. I feel like they are just screwing me over. I thought it was because I am locked into a contract that they could care less, but it seems they actually could care less about any of their customers. And why should they; what other options do we have? Not many it seems.

Comcast the nightmare of globalization

My goal was simple: set up internet at a new house where, unfortunately, Comcast is the monopoly provider. The nightmare starts from there. - First they got my a/c name wrong. Then got my installation fee wrong. Lesson: Don't call the numbers. Go to the office and deal with real person. Or at least use text live chat. Don't give them chance to mess up. Once the mess was created, endless troubles are all yours. - And, of course they charge me for renting their modem, 10 dollars/month. I went to the office, returned the modem. - In order to register my own modem, I made the mistake to call again. And not surprisingly, the person took the wrong model or serial or whatever number. My internet couldn't be used. Though I was paying for it. - They sent technician. Two days later. Another charge of 70 dollars. Technician told me the registration number was wrong. - Took more than 10 calls, online chats, 1 office visit, to correct my account holder's name, wrong charge of fees. Call centers could be India, could be Philippines, and they are not on same page about info needed to solve problems of my account.

Billing issue, they give you credit & turn around a week later & put it right back on your bill....they have people from India calling you late at night stealing your software it's crazy, then they will disconnect your service

I called Comcast to inform them that I was moving and asked them to transfer my service. I was informed that Comcast did not service my new address. I was informed that I needed to return all of the equipment, which I did. In March 2015, I found out that Comcast entered a past due payment with the credit bureau for "breach of contract." I called Comcast customer service immediately only to find out that I still owed them $170 for breaking the contract early. I was also informed that there was a small dollar amount owed for the last few days of the billing period in November 2014, which I paid immediately. I am really disappointed with a few different things: (1) I never received any past due bills because of an error caused by Comcast (2) I don't understand how I can be charged for "breach of contract," when Comcast is the entity that actually breached the contract since they did not provide service at my new address (which is a major intersection in the city of Houston), and (3) Comcast never considered any of the errors they made and will not reverse the derrogatory statement filed with the credit bureaus.

Comcast review in Santa Maria, California: Loss of cable TV on Saturday night

As my wife and I were watching HGTV during dinner our cable went black and a message came up that said there was no signal detected. I checked all of our other TV's and they were also in the same condition. I called Comcast tech support and was informed that they were having a large volume of callers and would call me back in 16-25 minutes. Over four hours later, about 15 minutes after our cable service had been restored I finally received my callback from Comcast. At that point I simply cancelled the call. I didn't even order the big fight and yet my service was totally screwed up for most of the evening.

Phone support suddenly disconnects without warning Tried to call technical service several times Line goes dead after waiting for several (many) minutes Line goes dead when being transferred by agent - i.e. transferred into a black hole Problem Response Instructions on TV direct one to the wrong phone number then agent who answers transfers you into a black hole (dead line) XFINITY Browser interface is slow and erratic Gets into endless loop on some commands Keystroke response is very slow or not at all Some subscirber channels which had worked are myteriously dropped from service Recorded TV programs are misssing parts of of a program, and dopping sound in other parts
